Approaches to the development of communication skills of children of the younger school-age

The diploma thesis deals with the communication skills of children of the younger school- age in a common primary school. In this thesis, expressive and receptive components of speech are monitored and the progress in both of them written down. The theoretical part focuses on "communication" in general and on the definition of related terms as well. An "impaired communication ability" is also described and its individual types are elaborated in detail. For each type, the thesis states description of symptoms, diagnosis and prevention. Last but not least, the theoretical part deals with the education of children with special educational needs. The diploma thesis also covers and explains terms that are connected to this topic as well as explains support measures or aids. The research part, using mixed research (qualitative and quantitative), focuses on children of the younger school-age attending a common primary school. The specifics that occur in the communication skills of these children are observed as well as their progress in particular exercises. Development of Motor Skills and Perceptual Abilities of Children with Developmental

This bachelor's thesis is focused on the development of motor skills and perceptual abilities of children with the developmental dysphasia. The theoretical part briefly specifies the terms communication and the impairment of communication ability. It offers a detailed description of the developmental dysphasia issue, of its etiology and symptomatology. It describes the types of the developmental dysphasia, diagnostic and therapy. Furthermore, the theoretical part briefly describes motor skills and perceptual abilities. The practical part is approached to as a case study of a boy with the developmental dysphasia. Research is qualitative with the use of observation, semi-structured interview with the mother and the analysis of medical reports. The aim of this thesis is to verify the set of exercises which was put together by the author and to ascertain whether these exercises are beneficial for children with the developmental dysphasia. Case study of siblings with mental disabilities in foster care

The bachelor thesis captures the life of two siblings who were taken from the children's home and placed in foster care. They were subsequently diagnosed with mental retardation, namely moderate mental retardation. The bachelor thesis focuses on the description of intellectual disability, its classification, aetiology, typical signs and manifestations of mental retardation. It also describes the possibilities of education and employment of people with intellectual disabilities. It also focuses on types of alternative family care, where it specifically emphases on foster care, including legislation that is closely related to this topic and the history of alternative family care. The second part of the thesis describes the life of siblings in foster care through interviews with foster parents and siblings themselves. This shows the everyday life of this family, the everyday pitfalls and obstacles they have to face, and the problems they have to deal with. The foster parents describe the periods when they decided for foster care, then they talk about the path of children through the school education system, and about their prospects and plans for the future. Social services of people with disabilities according to the legislation in the Czech Republic

The objective of this work is the clear introduction to the system of social care for the people with disabilities. Usage, accessibility and quality of the social care system is verified by the survey. In the first chapter, historical development of the social care is presented. Also, there is the definition of a disability. Today's legislation is discussed in the second chapter. Analysis of the care allowance is discussed in the third chapter. In the fourth chapter, multiple social services are defined. Also, examples of registered providers are listed in the chapter four. The quantitative research is introduced in the fifth chapter. Four hypothesis concerning accessibility and quality of the social care are confirmed by visually impaired respondents of survey. The autonomy and the protection of the social care users by rules for providers is emphasized. This work proves that the social care and registered providers are perceived positively. It is also confirmed that the care provided by the close person is the most desired one.
Development of perceptual skills of the pupil with developmental dysphasia

This thesis deals with development of perceptual skills of the pupil with developmental dysphasia during younger school age. This thesis is divided in two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part includes three parts which characterize the whole concept of this problems. The first chapter deals with human speech development. The second chapter includes speech disorders , describes individual parts of speech disorders. The third chapter defines the developmental dysphasia and its terminology, etiology, symptoms and prognosis. It also describes diagnostic methods of the developmental dysphasia and follow-up therapy. The practical part contains a research survey based on efficiency own exercises set oriented on the visual and hearing perception by the younger school learners with developmental dysphasia. The research part contains research schedule, describes survey sample and research methods. At the end of the chapter the results of survey were summarized.
