East and West and Cognition
Koláček, Luboš ; Hogenová, Anna (advisor) ; Rybák, David (referee) ; Kalábová, Helena (referee)
The work is a philosophical and necessarily also historical-philosophical comparative analysis of mutually corresponding accents of the issue spanning the period from the 8th century BC to the present, with regard to the "axial period" of cultural "miracle" similarly prosperous cultures and philosophies in the relatively severed countries of East and West. It then deals in more detail with some important and fundamental philosophers and spiritual teachers, related scholars or artists of various disciplines, but also lesser-known personalities, based on general inputs into the deepest depths of thought of these thinkers, all in a relatively intuitive connection, because the scope of work does not allow for a more detailed continuous interpretation of such a wide range of issues. In the end, the author emphasizes, philosophically analyzes and evaluates the most pressing issues of contemporary society. The work should primarily show the Way, not lead, but it is up to the reader / researcher to decide how to approach the text. There is always "some" Enlightenment at the end.
Aesthetics and Politics: Jacques Rancière's approach
Krochmalný, Ondřej ; Hauser, Michael (advisor) ; Hogenová, Anna (referee) ; Kalábová, Helena (referee)
v anglickém jazyce Proposed thesis focuses on the writings of french theoretician Jacques Rancière. Particular emphasis is put on a manner, in which the spheres of aesthetics and politics appear and intervine in Rancière's works. The consequence of forementioned delimitation of the subject of my interest is that the thesis doesn't fully embody Rancière's thought. Mainly because of the restricted space, i omitted Rancière's historiographical works and also texts that deal with the narrowly defined questions of literature and film. Despite of those limitations, my goal is to provide a monographical introduction to Rancière's thought. This monograph, on the one hand, doesn't claim the complete coverage of Rancière's works, but it aims, on the other hand, to provide the overall insight into the essential questions that shaped (and still shape) Rancière's thought.
Human being as zoon politikon and philosophy as education of man (Being in the world human trough experience with language)
Timingeriu, Filip ; Hogenová, Anna (advisor) ; Pauza, Miroslav (referee) ; Kalábová, Helena (referee)
This thesis aims - based on my detailed analysis of the first one of the three Heidegger's lectures on The Nature of Language (Das Wesen der Sprache 1957/58) in which he deals with the possibility of undergoing the experience of speech with the support of the onto-logical starting point, which is overcome by meaning-compliant thinking (besinnlicher Nachdenken) into a poetic experience with a word and with its relation to the entity and non-entity of a thing from the poem by Stefan Georg titled The Word (Das Wort) - to contemplate on the assumptions and limits of the apprehension of the philosophically-educative questioning as the nurture towards thinking, which should inevitably be preceded by the knowledge about what it means to be or not to be brought up in thinking. On the Paths (t)o(f) SpeechTo Foundations of Psychotherapeutic Care in the Perspectives of Daseinsanalysis
Králíčková, Tereza ; Pauza, Miroslav (advisor) ; Kalábová, Helena (referee) ; Slaninka, Michal (referee)
Submitted thesis On the Paths (t)o(f) Speech with subtitle To Foundations of Psychotherapeutic Care in the Perspectives of Daseinsanalysis deals with the phenomenon of speech as pivotal and obvious precondition, which supports the psychotherapeutic care. It is based on the general definition of psychotherapy as treatment of mental health problems using speech (words, conversation) and from the identification of a human as zoon logon echon. Because of that the exploration of speech is also the path of self-exploration. By following the legacy of words of other authors, etymological and historical interpretation of the selected terms (psyche, mythos, logos etc.) and own reflected experience, the text brings its reader to preview why the speech is the essential constitutive moment of his multilayered humanity. The view emphasizes the unity of human nature as a whole, which is, in its possibilities, opened to explore and experience of the world and yourself in both its obvious and hidden levels. Based on dichotomy of obvious and hidden foundations the submitted thesis expands the concept of speech as pure human talking and sharing to the problematic of the meaningful manifestation of the world, which is presented as a kind of dialog (the act of addressing and responding). By advancing on the path and...
Problem of Philosophy in Arabic Medieval Thinking
Šenk Kopecká, Pavlína ; Hogenová, Anna (advisor) ; Semrádová, Ilona (referee) ; Kalábová, Helena (referee)
Medieval philosophy in the Arabic world has sought to harmonize the Greek philosophic tradition with the Islamic religion. Many rulers, scholars and theologians were against this intellectual approach and defend the Islam from the philosophers. The position of philosophy and its followers in the Arabic realm was therefore uneasy. Many scholars had to hide their opinions between the lines and avoid to doing philosophy publicly. Alongside the unfriendly environment, the position of philosophy in the Arabic society was also determined by common notion of scholars, that the revealing of the philosophical thoughts can be harmful for uneducated citizen, as well as influenced by mysticism. The aim of this thesis is to summarize the main philosophical approaches responding to the problematic position of philosophy in the Arabic world. Crucial will be the philosophy of solitary by Ibn Bajja, where the author seeks to bond tight the philosopher's life with the city and thus present a new role of philosopher in the Arabic society. World of asymmetrical responsibility
Kukla, Karel ; Semrádová, Ilona (advisor) ; Hogenová, Anna (referee) ; Kalábová, Helena (referee)
Thesis work WORLD OF ASYMMETRICAL RESPONSIBILITY develops the original racional concept concentrated on human existence, which was broken by the FACE OF THE OTHER MAN by Levinas. Using analogy we take human FACE AS THE CENTER OF MAN, his body center. The FACE moves forward and has a never ending range. Its potency and vital power calls for further research. Rule of law of asymmetrical responsibility standing for THE OTHER MAN and everyone with a character of unique choice are covered in this thesis work. The contribution into philosophy of education will be seen in restoration of original conception of theoria. Novum to asymmetrical responsibility and its origin are touching the conscious practice deriving from universal FACE. Namelees universal FACES with their own seals form the WORLD OF ASYMMETRICAL RESPONSIBILITY. Life in it in a way of eternity receives and gives immediately the CENTER of neverending row of human looks of FACES with irreplaceable destination in saving human life. Ontology of Interaction
Machová, Světlana ; Semrádová, Ilona (advisor) ; Kalábová, Helena (referee) ; Hogenová, Anna (referee)
In this dissertation we propose a novel ontological point of view representing inner dimension of being and its interaction based on the phenomenology, quantum physics, psychoanalytic methodology and cognitive metaphor theories. Empirical findings about the phenomenology of interaction, gained from the associative experiment, open a new dimension of scientific research and interreligious discussion. Comprehension system of inner semantics leads us to a deeper understanding of the world of being. Essential Self interaction. described by cognitive metaphor and allows us identification of universal structure hidden beyond the language. Acquired linguistic data suggest that mind's metaphoric self-reflection semantics closely correlate with a concept of entangled quantum particles and light binding phenomena. This theory gave us a unique opportunity to visualize the probabilistic picture of mind itself within an interdisciplinary approach of cognitive and philosophical studies. In this work, we combine theory of physics and philosophy of language. Language, as a bridge between the two worlds: quantum and material, offers us the possibility of insight into inner reality and approach our awareness of being in a clear and undistorted form. Speech as a speech of being is woven into the context of...
