Anchoring vignettes method: information and communication technology knowledge self-assessment

SUMMARY: This thesis presents the possibilities and benefits of the use of anchoring vignettes method in educational science, in connection with information and communication technologies (ICT). It is the first ever use of the anchoring vignettes method in this field. In its theoretical part, the thesis introduces the works of other authors in which research was done with the use of self- assessment questions. It also shows the research using the anchoring vignettes method, and research in which this methodology was used in educational science. The practical part presents the results of the author's own survey, which shows the diversity of self-assessment of ICT knowledge and skills of Year 1 and 2 students at secondary schools. The thesis proves distinctive subjectivity in students' self-assessment, different usage of the scale by respondents and the purposefullness of using the anchoring vignettes method in this field. First and foremost, it shows an entirely different self-assessment of students of different study programmes, genders etc. before and after the correction using the anchoring vignettes method.

Review of the textbooks and of other teaching materials for computer classes at primary schools

The purpose of this bachelor thesis is - besides mapping the availability of information and communication technology textbooks for pupils of the first stage of primary schools - mainly to evaluate their quality and to set evaluating criteria for them. Available textbooks suitable for teaching at the first stage of primary school are evaluated in the practical part of this work. In conclusion, the found opinions and attitudes of lecturers and teachers on available textbooks and other teaching materials are compared.

The Anchoring Vignette Method and its use for increasing the comparability of self-assessments of ICT knowledge and skills

This dissertation deals with the use of the Anchoring Vignette Method in educational research carried out to establish the level of information and communication technology (ICT) knowledge and skills, with the focus on Czech upper-secondary school students. The theoretical part describes curricular documents that define the ICT knowledge and skills. In the Czech Republic that means mainly the Framework Educational Programmes. Attention is also paid to the international document DigComp. The Anchoring Vignette Method with the focus on nonparametric approach of this method is described in detail too. The author also provides an overview of available Czech and foreign bibliography on ICT knowledge and skills research - including the International Computer and Information Literacy (ICILS, 2013 and 2018) - and on the use of the Anchoring Vignette Method in educational research. The empirical part includes the description of the steps taken in formulating anchoring vignettes, this being an integral part of the Anchoring Vignette Method, in accordance with the curricular documents of the Czech Republic, and the steps taken while formulating anchoring vignettes on the basis of the international document DigComp. Pozornost byla věnována teoretickému vysvětlení lidské agresivity související se sportovní podívanou. V praktické části byly pomocí dotazníků zkoumány převážně projevy verbální agrese u celého diváckého spektra klubu. Zvláštní část patřila výzkumu specifické divácké skupiny, označovanou pojmem hooligans, výzkum fyzické agrese, názorů a postojů příznačných pro tuto skupinu. Pro úplný přehled v dané oblasti jsem dále věnoval prostor popisu historie českého chuligánství a nástinu prevence klubů a státních institucí proti násilí na fotbalových stadionech v České republice. This thesis is focused on sentiment analysis of unstructured text and its practical application on the real data downloaded from website Yelp.com The objectives of the theoretical part of this thesis is to sum up the information related to history, methods and possible applications of sentiment analysis. A reader is acquainted with important terms and processes of sentiment analysis. Theoretical part is focused on Naive Bayes classifier, that will be used in practical part of this thesis. In practical part there is detailed description of data set, construction and testing of model. At the end there are presented pros and cons of the chosen model and described some possibilities of its usage.

Economy reforms in the second part of the 50.'s

This thesis deals with circumstances of the economic reform designed by Kurt Rozsypal in 1958 -- 1959. It starts with the study of economic and political situation after the Second world war, postwar reconstruction, question of socialization and take over of the communist party. Then, it focuses on analysis of the first Soviet five year plan and effects of its application on Czechoslovak economy. This part is followed by the study of the first economic crisis and the era of New course. Analysis of the second five year plan, its consequences, preparation and realization of Rozsypal's reform and explanation of the reasons its failure are the second part of the thesis. It finishes with the third five year plan, collapse of the economy in 1963 and cancellation of the plan as well as Rozsypal's reform.
