Preparation of realization of the monolithic skeleton of the Třebíč hospital surgery pavilion
Hlávka, Jan ; Doubek, Rostislav (referee) ; Kantová, Radka (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to process the technological stage of the upper gross construction of the hospital pavilion in Třebíč. The building is designed to provide medical care and amenities. It is mainly an underground construction with one underground and five above-ground floors. The main structural constructions are monolithic skeleton supplemented with reinforcing walls and cores. The cladding is lined with brick blocks Porotherm. The subject of the processed technological stages is the solution of monolithic reinforced concrete vertical and horizontal supporting structures. Within the framework of another assignment, proposals for protection against monolithic reinforced concrete structures and protection against leased radiation are processed.
Preparation of realization of production hall Tescan
Hlávka, Jan ; Doubek, Rostislav (referee) ; Kantová, Radka (advisor)
The topic of this diploma thesis is the preparation of the realization of the production hall of the company Tescan. The thesis contains a technical report on the construction technology project, the coordination situation, the time and financial plan of the construction. Furthermore, the project addresses the design of construction site equipment and machinery for each stage, the schedule of the main building, the plan of its supply of materials for the rough construction and technological regulations for the substructure of the building, to which the inspection and test plan applies. The next assignment deals with the budget of the main building, health and safety plan and the issue of formwork needed for implementation. The specialization in the area deals with the design and assessment of industrial floors and solutions for securing a construction pit.
Determination of volatile and non-volatile nitrite products in sausages
Hlávka, Jan ; Sobotníková, Jana (advisor) ; Čabala, Radomír (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with the determination of nitrite products in sausages using gas chromatography. In the first part of this thesis, an extraction method was developed for the determination of 4-cyanophenol and N-nitrosoproline in samples of sausage products using gas chromatography with tandem mass spectroscopy. A 1% formic acid solution in acetonitrile was used to extract the analytes from the sausage samples. Due to the lower volatility of the analytes, derivatisation with N,O-bis(trimethylsilyl)trifluoroacetamide was necessary before each analysis. Using this method, an indicative determination of the concentrations of 4-cyanophenol and N-nitrosoproline in selected sausage samples was carried out. The standard addition method was used for the quantification of these analytes because of the strong matrix effect. For the selected types of sausage, it was observed whether or not the concentrations of the analytes differed in products with different meat contents. At the end of this diploma thesis, a validation of a method for the determination of volatile N-nitrosamines in sausage products by gas chromatography with chemiluminescence detection was performed. The analytes were N-nitrosodimethylamine, N-nitrosodiethylamine, N-nitrosodibutylamine, N-nitroso-piperidine, N-nitrosopyrrolidine...
Alfred Kubin's illustrations for his novel Die andere Seite
Hlávka, Jan ; Wittlich, Petr (advisor) ; Rakušanová, Marie (referee)
Presented study is concerned with the role of illustration in the book Visions from the Other Side by Alfred Kubin. It is divided into two parts. First of them focuses on the genesis of the book and tries to elucidate its historical, artistic and philosohical backgrounds. It also sets down its position among other works of Kubin. In this sense it hopes to explicate that the novel is not a beginning of a completely new stage of Kubin's work, but rather a synthesis of impulses collected during previous complicated years. The second part of my work deals with the motivic structure of Visions from the Other Side and the relation between its illustrations and text. It also attempts at critical reading of interpretations hitherto written, with attention focused primarily on novel's pictural body (which has been to date somewhat neglected)
Determination of selected metals in tea samples and bag materials
Hlávka, Jan ; Nováková, Eliška (advisor) ; Hraníček, Jakub (referee)
This bachelor thesis is dealing with determination of antimony in materials modern pyramid-shape tea bags. Possible presence of antimony in these materials, e.g. polyethylene terephthalate (PET) or mixed materials, is caused by using it like catalyst in production of polyethylene terphthalete. The goal of this bachelor thesis is the verification of hypothesis, that antimony is present in materials of pyramide tea bags and that it is released to consumed drink, if higher concentration of antimony is present, and that it could pose a health risk to the consumer. At the same time, I studied if tea leaves are contaminated by other toxic elements, from which some can result from intesive agricultural production. They can be used as pesticides or be presnet in industrial fertilizers. In this thesis I examined the content of As, Cd, Cu, Sb and Zn in tea leaves sold in pyramide bags. These pyramide bags were purchased in local supermarkets and shops. The content of Sb in bags was determined too. The applied method included the decomposition of samples in a microwave decomposition device and analysis of the composition of the resulting solution by the ICP-MS method. Determined contents of the investigated elements were expressed like content of element in the sample in dry mass and the results were compared...
Role of Aesthetic Value in Ralph B. Perry's General Theory of Value
Hlávka, Jan ; Zuska, Vlastimil (advisor) ; Skalický, David (referee) ; Šíp, Radim (referee)
IN ENGLISH Ralph B. Perry's general theory of value was the most extensive and influential axiological project undertaken in the USA prior to WWII. While Perry's main goal is to provide a general definition of value and to describe the means of its criticism, the project also deals with the nature of special values, including aesthetic value. This dissertation thesis traces the aesthetic vein in Perry's theory, which is concentrated on the terms of aesthetic interest and its passive correlate, the aesthetic object. These are also the centerpieces of the definition of aesthetic value. First, interest and its object are defined in their general sense; next, they are defined in their specific aesthetic sense. Perry defines aesthetic interest as the interest in apprehension, and the object of this interest as a problematic intentional object with an index-predicate structure: its index is the localizable source of stimulus, and its predicate, the reflected act of apprehension. The final chapter is devoted to the forms of interplay between aesthetic interest and other interests, and the criticism of aesthetic interest from the aesthetic and moral standpoint. In Perry's theory, the aesthetic value belongs among the trinity of universal values. It is considered autonomous as long as the aesthetic interest...

The Question of Origins of Value in Naturalistic Philosophy of Irving Singer
Hlávka, Jan ; Dadejík, Ondřej (advisor) ; Zuska, Vlastimil (referee)
Irving Singer's theory of value declares itself a member of american naturalistic and pragmatic tradition. It refuses metaphysical speculation on behalf of empirism and stresses the processual character of every experience, focusing more on its imaginatively-affective rather than rational part. Singer distinguishes two basic types of valuation: appriciation of an object, seen as an instrument for a given function, and spontaneous bestowal of value, which values the object on the basis of its own qualities - generating an affective attachement in the process. In a healthy organism, both ought to cooperate to support the fullness of life-in-the-world. Their harmonization is a matter of aesthetics as recognized in the case of love or works of art. This thesis criticizes Singer's project from its own point of view - the american naturalism. In the first chapter, it describes closely Singer's point-of-departure and places it within historical tradition. The matter of the "intrinsic value controversy" is drawn here as well. Following two chapters probe into the pillars of Singer's systém - the conceptions of appriciation, bestowal, imagination and idealization. In comparison with the doctrines of John Dewey, George Santayana and christian situational ethics, fundamentally eclectical character of Singer's...
