Qualification of Teacher's Assistant

This diploma thesis deals with the qualification requirements for the role of teacher's assistants.The main aim of this thesis is to find out a level of satisfaction of teacher's assistants with the current form of qualification courses for teachers assistant role. The diploma thesis consists of four chapters, three of them are theoretical and the last chapter is a practical part. Theoretical part defines legislative background for the role of teacher's assistant, preferred personal traits, abilities and skills, the scope of work and the possibility of obtaining professional qualification and further education for the role of teacher's assistants. Also, there is a comparison of the teacher's assistant role in Czech Republic and abroad.
Skiing as a leisuretime activity for people with disabilities

The final bachelor's thesis deals with the topic of skiing as a leasuretime aktivity for people with disabilities. The theoretical part of the thesis contains the possibilities and ways of skiing for people with disabilities, the most common disabilities in connection with skiing, teaching methodology, the work of a ski assistant or instructor, the impact of sport on health condition and socialization of person. The practical part of the thesis contains research in the field of skiing for poeple with disabilities. The main aim of the research was to find out information, knowledge, skills and attitude of ski instructors to teach people with disabilities. As follows from the text, the respondents of the questionnaire survey, which was carried out using quantitative method, were ski instructors operating in the Czech republic and abroad. Supporting inclusive environment using a literature storyline

This bachelor thesis deals with a literary story as one of the tools for supporting an inclusive environment. The theoretical part is dedicated to the inclusive environment and its' fundamental and important principles as well as to reading literacy, book clubs and RWCT method - "Reading and Writing for Critical Thinking". The research part examines pupils' preconceptions and their development after participating in the reading comprehension lesson, in which the pupils read a story about a boy with Treacher-Collins syndrome. This part of the thesis describes the preparation and realization of such a lesson and analyses its' data. The qualitative approach has been applied here. Based on the triple diaries that the pupils kept during the reading comprehension lesson, the individual statements were analyzed using the open coding technique. The aim of the practical part was to find out what preconceptions pupils have about a person with a visible disability who might become their potential classmate and how their thinking changed after the lesson. The emphasis is put on individual knowledge and self-awareness of experience. Hippotherapy as a supportive method of treatment in children with Joubert's and other hypotonic syndrome

1 Abstract The subject of this thesis is hippotherapy as a supportive treatment method in children with Joubert syndrome and other hypotonic syndromes. In theoretical part is described Joubert syndrome in connection with education of students with special needs including legislation. In response to education of a child with disability there is further described therapy and basic therapeutic approaches that are often used concurrently with hippotherapy. Next part of thesis is focused on Joubert syndrome in terms of origin, causes, symptoms and diagnosis of the disease. With regards to research investigation in empiric part of the thesis there are further described specific educational approaches of individual with Joubert syndrome and other hypotonic syndromes. Theoretical part also comprises closer characteristics of hippotherapy as a possible supportive treatment method in terms of legislation, healthcare and social aspects. In empiric part there were used several methods of data collection within the qualitative research, these were analysis of studied literature, involved observation, case study, document analysis, narrative dialog with parent, discussion with hippotherapist and questionnaire submitted to parents of children attending hippotherapy. Voting Rights of People with Intellectual Disabilities

This diploma thesis focuses on the exercising of voting rights by people with intellectual disabilities. The thesis aims to present the topic of voting rights of people with intellectual disabilities within the domestic and international legislative framework and to explore the perception of elections and voting rights from the perspective of people with intellectual disabilities by applying qualitative research. The theoretical part describes elections, voting rights, specific features of people with intellectual disabilities, and availability of the support to vote. The essential part of the diploma thesis also contains a legislative overview, which anchors the voting rights of people with disabilities. The practical part of the thesis deals with the topic of perception of elections and voting rights from the perspective of people with intellectual disabilities. Inclusion in the Pre-school Education System

The rigorosum thesis deals with the inclusive education in nursery schools in the Czech Republic. It is based on specialized literature, an overview of legislative changes in preschool education and longtime experience of its author, a preschool special educator. The thesis consists of three parts. The first, theoretical one, defines basic concepts and cornerstones of school inclusion as well as the role of its main actors from the point of view of both positive and negative impacts the school inclusion may have on them. It also brings a brief outline of the preschool inclusive systems in Great Britain, Sweden, Norway and Finland. The second part gives an overview of the preschool inclusive education in the framework of current Czech education system including some information and experience gained during the author's professional carrier. Personal experience of visits to some nursery schools in Sweden and Finland is also included. The third part of the thesis brings findings of a quantitative survey oriented to expert and lay attitudes to the preschool inclusion. Primary school teachers attitudes towards inclusive education

The thesis deals with the topic of inclusive education from the perspective of primary school teachers. The aim of this work is to evaluate the attitude of teachers to this issue, to reveal their needs and to propose measures that could satisfy these needs. The thesis contains two main parts: theoretical and practical one. The theoretical part introduces to readers the position of persons with disabilities in the past and in the present and presents a way of anchoring the fundamental rights of these persons in international treaties and legislative actions. Furthermore, the basic concepts related to inclusive education are defined in this section and one chapter is devoted to the teacher himself and the attitudes he develops within the classroom. The research part introduces the researches on a similar topic, describes the methodology used in the survey and presents data obtained through interviews with primary school teachers. The results of the research point out the shortcomings in the way of education of primary school teachers, in particular reveal the absence of interconnection of the teaching and special education fields.
