Ústředním tématem diplomové práce je uplatnění volebního práva u osob s mentálním postižením. Cílem práce je uceleně představit problematiku volebního práva osob s mentálním postižením v rámci české i mezinárodní legislativy a na základě kvalitativního výzkumu pak prozkoumat oblast vnímání voleb a volebního práva osobami s mentálním postižením. V teoretické části práce je čtenář seznámen s tématy voleb, volebního práva, specifik osob s mentálním postižením a s dostupností podpory v oblasti volebního práva. Důležitou součástí práce je také přehled české i mezinárodní legislativy ukotvující volební právo osob s postižením. Výzkumná část je zaměřena na problematiku vnímání voleb a volebního práva osobami s mentálním postižením. Dílčími cíli výzkumné části práce je pak zjistit, jak hodnotí lidé s mentálním postižením důležitost voleb a jaké faktory mají vliv na jejich politickou volbu, jaké povědomí mají lidé s mentálním postižením o problematice omezení svéprávnosti ve vztahu k volebnímu právu a také jak hodnotí lidé s mentálním postižením dostupnost informací a podpory při výkonu volebního práva. Data byla získána pomocí polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s lidmi s mentálním postižením. Na základě výzkumu bylo zjištěno, že klíčovou roli při získávání informací o volbách, či při výběru vhodného politického... This diploma thesis focuses on the exercising of voting rights by people with intellectual disabilities. The thesis aims to present the topic of voting rights of people with intellectual disabilities within the domestic and international legislative framework and to explore the perception of elections and voting rights from the perspective of people with intellectual disabilities by applying qualitative research. The theoretical part describes elections, voting rights, specific features of people with intellectual disabilities, and availability of the support to vote. The essential part of the diploma thesis also contains a legislative overview, which anchors the voting rights of people with disabilities. The practical part of the thesis deals with the topic of perception of elections and voting rights from the perspective of people with intellectual disabilities. The partial aims of the research are to find out: how do the people with disabilities evaluate the importance of elections; which factors influence their political choice; which knowledge about the topic of limiting the exercise of the voting right through limiting legal capacity do people with intellectual disabilities have; how do people with intellectual disabilities evaluate the availability of information and support to vote.
