Effect of pentoxifyllin on advanced dementia with predominated cardiovascular symptoms

The high consumption of Pentoxifyllin in patients suffering from vascular dementia led to a concern and a clinical trial conducted in the nursing home in Česká Kamenice from 2001 to 2004. The retrospective survey was carried out on 176 patients and lasted 12 months. If we consider the currently valid criteria for the diagnosis of vascular dementia, the patients showed an advanced form of the disease. The experiment did not demonstrate any positive influence of treatment on either cardiovascular diseases or the mortality of afflicted patients. Despite the fact that we could expect the medicament to have a favourable influence on the symptoms of the advanced form of vascular dementia it was not proven so. It is absolutely essential for doctors to have good background knowledge of diseases and all kinds of particularities accompanying old age, especially when it comes to the early detection of dementia. High consumption of Pentoxifyllin led to a number of experiments and studies trying to prove its efficiency and hence justify prescripcions for the drug. Femininity and masculinity portrayal as displayed in the Czech film posters in 1968

The main target of this work is gender analysis of Czech film posters created in year 1968 with emphasis on identification of main presentation patterns of women and men in this kind of graphic art as well as on interpretation of these works in the frame of a given historical and social context. Within theoretical part of the work, mainly function and expression of film poster is presented as well as conditions of graphic art work in the period of communist totality. In the analytical part, conclusions of some 'Western' theories related to gender in advertisements (Erving Goffman, Judith Williamson, Jean Kilbourn; Libora Oates-Indruchová within domestic context) are compared with femininity and masculinity displays on film posters from year 1968. Beside this, analysis is aimed on identification of specific characteristics of film posters production in a given period and also on ways of presentation (and mutual interaction) of patriarchal discourse on the one hand and communist ideology on the other. Comparison of the dynamism of the cardial rate by different kind of the Aerobic dynamic kickbox and Aero-kickboxing

Title: Comparison of heart rate dynamics In Aerobic Dynamic K.ickboxing and Aero-kickboxing Goal: Assessment of heart rate dynamics In Aerobic Dynamic K.ickboxing and Aero- K.ickboxing Method: For evaluation of relations connected to performance of cardiovascular system of respective individuals questionnaires were used. During selected classes of Aerobic Dynamic K.ickboxing and Aero-kickboxing I have measured heart rate using sport testers. Collected data were analysed and graphically evaluated via Polar Precision Peďormance 3.0. software. The outcome in the form of graphs showing individual's heart rates were the subject ofmy assessment. Results: Research results confmn the hypothesis that the motoric content and structure of individua} classes are sirnilar, classes differ in intensity of peďormance which is reflected in different heart rate dynamics and obtained values. Bullying at ecclesiastic schools

The Diploma thesis "Bullying at ecclesiastic schools" first presents briefly the context of aggression at schools. Furthermore it describes the behaviour of an aggressor and his reasons to bully. It explains the keyword of a victim and shows which kinds of individuals become most frequently to be bullied. It solves the share of boys and girls on aggressive behaviour. It also takes into account the bullying from the juridical point of view, outlines the possible kinds of prevention against the bullying in families and first of all at school. This thesis also describes the consequences of the bullying on its victims. The last part of the thesis deals with proposal of possible steps to be taken in order to solve the bullying. In a practical part there are introduced two ecclesiastic Grammar schools in Prague where students of selected classes have been asked for their experiences with appearance of bullying at their school. Their answers have been examined - also in the graphical form.

Motivational factors for sports activities for children floorball section

The thesis is focused on motivational factors in sports activities for the children of the floorball team of FBC Czech Krumlov. The aim is to find out what most motivates children about sports activities, what gives them the greatest enjoyment of the game and why they remain in this kind of sport. This thesis focuses on the children of primary school from 10 to 15 years of age. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with floorball, the history of this sport and the basic characteristics, further with characteristics of adolescence, the concept of motivation and sports psychology. The practical part is formed on the basis of the questionnaire survey where the questionnaires were the basis for the video (graphic) part. Survey results show motivational factors at children of the floorball team and they mean the base of recommendations for coaches, what motivational climate for these children should be chosen to improve their performance and enjoyment of the game.

Naming of Partners and their Calling in Private Communication

This thesis "Calling of Partners" describes how people keep calling and naming their partners in private communication and it deals with analyzing of special kind of partners calling; as lovers' as partners' names. This information has been gathered via questionnaires. Firstly this kind of nonstandard type of antroponyms has been distinguished in a language way, it means in a graphic, phonetic and phonologic, and lastly in a morphologic-syntactic way. There is one important part telling about expressivity and diminutive ways. There is also a special section which describes wordformative parsing where there are partners callings divided into sixteen semantic groups. These groups shows how partner might be compared to something very dear, love, an animal, a plant, food or sci-fi character etc.

Czech Written Magazines for the Hearing Impaired until 1950

The diploma thesis "Czech written magazines for the hearing impaired until 1950" focuses on the Czech periodical press for readers with hearing impairments, from 1918 when it was started, until communist repression began in 1950. The thesis deals with social, historical and other factors that formed the press. With the help of many quotations, it illustrates the formal and content aspects of each magazine. It introduces the motivations, people and organizations that made the magazines being published. Each paper is given details about its publishers, editors, printing houses, addresses of the editor's offices, secondary titles, periodicity, price, number of pages etc. and the development of these attributes over time. The thesis shows in detail the content and structure of the given magazines by presenting their regular columns. It monitors the graphical development of each paper's title. It briefly summarizes the relation of the hearing impaired to different kinds of media. It outlines a problem of insufficient reading skills of the pre-lingual deaf and how was it dealt with in the magazines for the hearing impaired in the first half of the 20th century.

Slang in the area of information technologies

This diploma thesis is dealing with the sociolect of the information technology area. It tries to better understand the cohesion of contemporary society with information technologies (IT) from the language locution point of view. It describes the influence of the English language on the phraseology and terminology of this domain. It specifies the graphic, morphological, and pronunciation area of transmition of anglicisms into the IT language. Thereby it attempts to approach the kind of relationship between technical language and slang expressions. The thesis also summarizes the slang expressions in the vocabulary part, where it describes individual entries, and presents the words which slang expressions originated from. It concentrates on the origination of slang expressions, divides them into the individual cathegories, specifies their creation, and shows individual examples for better understanding.

In the forth part you can read about major representatives of world a and czech social networks and their services. Practical part of the work conteins of depiction of each linkage between the authors of the publications specialized on the social networks questions.

Formulation of the requisition for services related to Internet communication

In this work, I would like to focus on the issue related to the formulation of requirements for the delivery of services related to Internet communications, specifically to its most common form - websites. The goal of my work is to introduce the aspects of the implementation of the web pages (from basic business presentations to complex web applications such as e-shop or community site) to creators of the requisition, who are prepared to enter the world of the Internet. Provide them with an overview across the typical features of web applications to be able to formulate their own requirements for a successful website. The knowledge will serve them in the choice of supplier of the solution and also in the first stage of the subsequent implementation. The opening part of my work will be dedicated to description of the basic services related to Internet communications, such as internet service providing or applications hosting on dedicated servers. In the next chapter is already focusing on the specification of the requisition for the delivery of services related to the development and maintenance of websites. This includes the definition of those services, clarification of the types of websites and applications. While we are formulating any kind of requisition, it is important to follow certain procedures and forms. For this reason, I dedicated one of the chapters to specifications of the structure of a typical requisition document related to web applications. In the finals chapters, I will focus on the requisition for websites from different perspectives, such as the graphic appearance, functionality, accessibility and usability, security and ultimately the running web applications and internet marketing.
