Existuje mnoho pramenů, ze kterých je možno čerpat historii Národního muzea. Rovněž je řada studií a monografií týkajících se historie Národního muzea, nicméně žádná z těchto prací nezkoumá média, zvuková či audiovizuální, jako samostatný historický pramen. Média jsou zvláštním pramenem, z něhož lze čerpat specifické a autentické informace o Národním muzeu. Filmové záznamy, stejně jako rozhlasové přinášejí řadu poznatků a doplňují historii Národního muzea. Tato studie zhodnocuje úlohy médií jako informačního zdroje o dějinách Národního muzea spolu s identifikací limitů této pramenné formy. Na základě historiografických postupů a dále metod známých z oblasti mediální vědy bylo prostřednictvím kvantitativní a kvalitativní analýzy umožněno provést výzkum jedinečných historických pramenů v podobě televizních a rozhlasových záznamů, které přináší poznatky týkající se Národního muzea. Ve vybraném období, kterým je v případě rozhlasových záznamů konec druhé světové války a v televizním vysílání rok 1953 a které je v obou případech vymezeno rokem 1993, je proveden rozbor těchto médií z hlediska jejich využití jako historických pramenů. Ve zkoumaném období byla zjištěna žánrová pestrost, která zejména v televizních pořadech nabídla zpravodajství a publicistiku, naučné, ale i zábavní pořady. Tyto pořady... Are many historical sources from which to draw the history of the National Museum. There are also a number of studies and monographs on the history of the National Museum, however, none of these works look at the media, audio or audiovisual, as a s historical source. The media could be a special source from which specific and authentic information on the National Museum can be drawn. Film records, as well as radio eithet television broadcasting bring a number of insights and complement the history of the National Museum. This study explores the role of the media as an information resource on the history of the National Museum, together with the identification of the limits of this source form. Based on historiographic procedures and methods known in the field of media science, quantitative and qualitative analysis has enabled the research of unique historical sources in the form of television and radio recordings, which brings insights into the National Museum. In the period under review, the genre variety was found, which mainly offered television and news programs, journalism, educational and entertainment programs.
