Antenna for mobile high power microwave generator
Kračmar, Leoš ; Láčík, Jaroslav (referee) ; Mikulášek, Tomáš (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the design and practical implementation of a magnetron connected to waveguide as an excitation source for a linear slot antenna array. The goal was thorough acquaintance with the issue of partial parts of designs, verification of calculated parameters using software simulations and practical measurements on manufactured parts of the project. In the first part of the work, it theoretically deals with used components, used parameters and by software design of a magnetron to waveguide transition model with practical measurement. The second part of the work contains calculations and simulations of the design of a linear slot antenna array, which continues by series of practical measurements of antenna properties.
Modulated ultrasonic water jet cutting – optimization of the liquid wave guide shape
Veselý, Radek ; Foldyna, Josef (referee) ; Habán, Vladimír (advisor)
High speed water jets have un-substitutable place in unconventional technologies in the machining of materials. Indeed its larger spreading is limited above all by its really high purchase price and also high costs of the operation. Certain possibility is represented by high-speed pulsating jets, which don’t put such a high pretension on arrangement of generating the pressure during the comparable operation. Probably the most effective method of the generating of pulsating water jets is ultrasonic modulation. This work could benefit to understanding spreading of pressure impulses between ultrasonic generator and output nozzle. Pulsating is solved by the numerical calculation using transfer matrix method.

The aim of this thesis is to provide insight into certain elementary methods of removing tooth stone. Also, the thesis aims to introduce different techniques of removing tooth stone. The first part of the work analyses the theory of rise tooth stone, his create and biologically effect. Further, the elementary methods of removing tooth stone by ultrasound are introduced. In the second part, the thesis analyses the concept of instrument to removing tooth stone by ultrasound. The aim of this thesis is for working frequency 27 kHz propose circuit diagram of exciter generator. For intensity ultrasound 6W/cm2 count parameters sandwich converter and waveguide.
SIW slot antenna
Martinec, Matěj ; Puskely, Jan (referee) ; Pítra, Kamil (advisor)
This work is dealing with the design of waveguide slot array antenna and SIW slot antenna with coaxial and microstrip feed operating in 5,6 GHz frequency in Wi-Fi frequency band of IEEE 802.11ac standard. For design of these antennas were used calsic methods and each of this parts were optimised in CST Microwave Studio. In this programme were optimised parameters of each part to occupy widest bandwidth of antenna, which was in conflict with the proper function of antenna. All antennas were compare between each other in light of selected parameters and suitable antenna has been chosen.
Textile Microwave Components
Hotovec, Jakub ; Láčík, Jaroslav (referee) ; Vašina, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on possibilities of designing components integrated on substrate, where substrate is fabric. It contains theoretical information about the SIW structure, measurement of dieletric parameters of three fabrics, design, synthesis and production of waveguide, a three port divider and a band-pass filter on three substrates. For simulation CST Microwave Studio is used
Modification of experimental arrangement for bearings testing for application of acoustic emission method.
Suchanek, Daniel ; Mazůrek, Ivan (referee) ; Mazal, Pavel (advisor)
Master’s thesis is focused on modification of experimental arrangement for radial ball bearing contact endurance testing so that the diagnostic method of acoustic emission could be applied. There is an assumption that AE method is able to identify damage to bearings in earlier stages than the vibration diagnostics. Design modifications also allow the addition of modern vibrodiagnostic equipment to a system.
Reconfigurable slot antenna array
Weigel, Filip ; Pítra, Kamil (referee) ; Raida, Zbyněk (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with the basic principles of slot antennas. Models of antennas were simulated in a selected electromagnetic simulator CST MICROWAVE STUDIO (CST MWS). There are several models of slot antennas which are optimized for communication in the car at a frequency 8 GHz.
Heating in lossy waveguide
Tichý, Jakub ; Horák, Jiří (referee) ; Raida, Zbyněk (advisor)
This thesis deals with modeling of a waveguide with the rectangular cross-section in Comsol Multiphysics and optimization with PSO algorithm in MATLAB. The practical section describes electromagnetic wave excitation at different frequencies; and the influence of changes of basic characteristics, proportions and the location of an inserted dielectric slide on passing electromagnetic wave in a single-mode band. In next phase of the project, changes of basic characteristics on heating structure at electromagnetic field excitation by this waveguides are discussed. The last part deals with optimizing waveguide filter with particle swarm optimization and research his new electric and thermal character. Modeled phenomena are illustrated by pictures of a waveguide from the axial upper projection, and on rectangular charts.
Evaluation of Different Dielectrics For Mid-Infrared Waveguides
Diffraction on Spatial and/or Deep Objects
Hrabec, Aleš ; Petráček, Jiří (referee) ; Kotačka, Libor (advisor)
This discourse deals with a theoretical study of the radiation passage through a diffraction screen with non-zero size in the propagation direction of the radiation, i.e. the radiation passage through a three-dimensional object. Without any loss of generality, we solve the problem for cylindrical cavity in metal. The task exceeds evidently standard scalar theory of diffraction, thus we solve the problem using a waveguiding theory. Following the principles of the electromagnetic theory, we derive required formulae to determine mode distribution at the entry of the cavity. Further, we solve numerically the radiation propagation through the cavity, then we actually seek for radiation distribution at the very end of the cavity. This yields, with a help of the discrete Fourier transform, an intensity distribution of Fraunhofer diffraction pattern, consequently compared with an intesity distribution of the radiation pattern of Fraunhofer diffraction on infinitely thin circular opening having the radius of the cylinder cavity under study. A comparison of such patterns results to a conclusion, that the cavity length has a significatn influence on the diffraction pattern and more importantly, that the scalar diffraction theory appears incorrect for a coherent light passage through cavities longer than their radius squared. Similarly, the same conclusion is inversely proportional to a wavelength of the interacting radiation. Finally, we mention an existence of the so called "focal regime", when the radiation repeatedly exhibits roughly one order increased intensity on the symmetry axis of the cavity.
