Commented Translation – New Trends in Air Transportation as Presented in Media

The purpose of the semestral thesis is to translate a text or more texts related to new trends in air transportation as presented in media from Czech into English and analyze the differences between both languages in translation. The work presented is divided into three main parts: theoretical introduction, translation of the technical text and translation analysis. The theoretical introduction deals with the types of translation and classifications. In the last part, the language phenomena and characteristic features of the English and Czech languages are analyzed on the examples of the translated texts.

E-tivities: effective activities to learn languages?

The purpose of semestral work is to understand what does “E-learning” means and where it comes from, to describe the history of electronic learning and research advantages and disadvantages of this kind of education. And finally get an answer for the question if E-learning is effective activity to learn languages? The work is devided into seven parts: defenitions, forms of e-learning, history of e-learning, advantages/benefits of e-learning, disadvantages of electronic electronic learning, an influence of modern technologies on the teaching process. The bachelor thesis is aimed at analyzing the work of representatives of e-learning. Description of the process of learning a language and the effectiveness of learning English through e-learning. Is it possible to learn a language with the help of electronic media and the Internet? This paper describes the process of learning English with the help of two electronic platforms. The first is a paid online school, the largest company studying English in Eastern Europe. The second part of the work is a free mobile application aimed at developing and learning English. The most popular application in the world in the online training section. information about companies, the history of creation and the principles of work used in the applications are presented in the form of a review of companies. Effectiveness of those companies and e-learning at all.

Tématem této diplomové práce jsou adjektivní, slovesné a jmenné kolokační vazby substantiva {\clqq}life.`` V teoretické části vycházím z pojmů kolokace a syntagmatické vztahy a porovnávám jejich definice u různých autorů. Dále stručně uvádím zvláštnosti slovního druhu přídavné jméno, podstatné jméno a sloveso. Těžiště práce však spočívá v praktickém rozboru zkoumaných excerpt. V této části se zabývám hlavně funkcemi, které může slovo {\clqq}life`` v těchto vazbách plnit a zjišťování toho, s jakými adjektivy, slovesy a substantivy se podstatné jméno {\clqq}life`` ochotně spojuje.

Co-occurence of Regular and Irregular Plurals in English Nouns

Cílem této bakalářské práce je analyzovat výskyt pravidelné plurálové formy u anglických substantiv, která primárně tvoří nepravidelný plurál. Práce se nejprve zabývá zpracováním dostupných zdrojů k této problematice, ze kterých má vyplynout, jaký poměr jednotlivých forem se u vybraných substantiv vyskytuje. Výsledná data jsou následně zkoumána pomocí korpusu.

Adjektiva měnící význam v závislosti na postavení

V bakalářské práci na téma adjektiva měnící význam v závislosti na postavení se budu zabývat rozlišením francouzských termínů, a to konkrétně přídavných jmen, které mohou v rámci jmenného syntagmatu měnit význam podle toho, jestli se vyskytují před nebo za podstatnými jmény. Cílem této práce je tedy porovnat postavení přídavných jmen ve větě ve francouzském jazyce. Druhou část této práce bude tvořit práce s korpusem, ve kterém budu zkoumat francouzská adjektiva v závislosti na postavení vůči substantivu.

Vybraná dějová jména ve slovníku Le Petit Robert

Cílem této práce je zmapovat a popsat dosavadní teoretické poznatky o dějových jménech a použít některé z teorií na vybraný vzorek francouzských jmen. Úvodní část této práce se zabývá otázkou zařazení dějových jmen v systému slovních druhů obecně a také jejich vlastnostmi. V druhé části krátce zmiňujeme hlavní teoretické směry, jejichž předmětem je nominalizační proces. Na toto téma navazuje přehled druhů nominalizací podle vzniku a tedy rozdělení dějových jmen na dějová, rezultativní a další. Třetí část práce ja částí praktickou. Popisuje metodu výběru vzorku jmen ze slovníku Le Petit Robert a analýzy provedené pomocí slovníku Le Petit Robert a programu SketchEngine.
