The Analysis of Communication Activities of Charity project Světluška in 2010-2013

Bachelor thesis The Analysis of communication activities of charity project Světluška in 2010 - 2013 analyses communication of non-profit organization Světluška in mentioned period. In the first part, it focuses on general concentration, function and beginnings of Světluška's activity in non-profit market and field of helping to blind people in Czech Republic. Furthermore, it deals not only with communication from founding in 2003 to 2010, but also with strategy planning and marketing of non-profit organizations in general. In the next part, thesis focuses on communication in 2010 - 2013; this includes for example defining target groups, objectives and particular communication activities. Authorial research of brand perception and awareness follows, along with data analysis and evaluation. Thesis also includes suggestions how project could communicate in the future which is based on current communication's analysis and outcomes of research.
Specific attributes of Human resource management in Non-profit organizations

There is a common idea that human resource management in non-profit corporations is very different from human resource management in for-profit corporations. From one side, there are a lot of differences in recruiting people or strategic management. From other side, there are enough similarities in both types of organization. To understand, how to set Human Resource Management in non-profit organization, the basic differences between these two types have to be understood. It means not only understanding in the Human resource level, but in general economical level. Any activity in the economy has to be set as an answer to the needs. After analysis of the main differences between both types of organization, it is much easier to find a need for particular policy of HRM in non-profit. To paint the whole picture of the problem, I will give a quick definition of Non-profit sector in general, after we will pay particular attention to HRM policies in non-profit sector and the goal of the last chapter is to show the main differences between non-profit and for-profit HRM. The question to answer is which of factors has a bigger significance in this topic. Marketing activities of the project help the children

The bachelor thesis deals with the marketing of non-profit organizations with subsequent applications to Project Civil Society Development Foundation and Czech Television Help the Children. Thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical part outlines marketing and the non-profit sector in general. In the practical part this knowledge is applied to project Help the Children. In the thesis is conducted marketing research to assessment of knowledge of the project and non-profit sector in the Czech republic. The goal is introduce the project Help the Children, evaluate its marketing and to make its recommendations and ideas for improving activities in the marketing field.
Financial self-sufficiency of cultural non-profit organisations

The diploma thesis deals with financial self-sufficiency of non-profit and non-governmental organisations operating in the cultural sector. The theoretical part describes all methods of financing. Emphasis is placed on the cooperation with donors and on fundraising through social networks. To make the comparison of financing easier, different legal forms of non-profit organisations with examples are mentioned. The practical part of the thesis presents five different Czech cultural non-profit organizations. The structures of their financial resources are described, financial analyses are performed, and the percentages of self-sufficiency are determined. The analyses show that none of the organizations is self-sufficient. The thesis presents recommendations on how to increase the percentage of self-sufficiency. The thesis explores importance of the crowdfunding in the Czech republic and describes the cooperation with donors in observed organisations.
Fundraising for non-profit organizations in the culture

This thesis aims to map contemporary situation of non-profit organization's structure of funding in the culture. The theoretical section contains the definitions of non-profit sector and presents the organizations which focus on cultural activities. Then describes individual sources of funding and explains the issue of fundraising. The practical section consists of the analysis of four particular institutions with a focus on their structure of funding. In conclusion, the current situation is evaluated and the possible measures are proposed.
The financing of the non-profit-making organization

One of the important types of organization establishing to ensure the activities in public interest are the organization supported by state finance, that wouldn´t be able to manage without the main source of finances provided by their founder. That type of non-profit making organization is what I have focused on in my graduation theses. I was evaluating the financing of the organization supported by state finance Správa a údržba silnic Jihočeského kraje. I closely put mind to the analysis of the organization´s earnings, what way were they used and if the organization excercised them in its main operation.

The theme of this thesis is fundraising for non-profit organizations, i.e. aquiring of financial and non-financial sources for them, mainly with focus on methods and problems of individual fundraising. Application of these methods is shown in a case study of a beneficial event.
Social entrepreneurship: Understanding the reality of the developing world and designing sustainable solutions

Social entrepreneurship, loosely defined as delivering social value in a sustainable way using market-based principles, is especially powerful tool in the Third world. Grass-root entrepreneurial approach of developing and empowering those countries from the bottom up is proving to be the most sustainable and efficient solution. First part of this work outlines historical context of the developing world and provides thorough analysis about challenges and threats it is facing. Furthermore, model defining what countries are the "most suitable" for a social venture is described, together with tools that are used nowadays to support the developing world. Second part puts main emphasis on defining and discussing the concept of social entrepreneurship, especially with respect to social venture design. Conclusions and practical recommendations are heavily based on interviews with successful and inspirational social entrepreneurs active in the Third world, as well as with leading NGOs with offices in the Czech Republic. All in all, the ultimate goal of this work is to create a big-picture overview about the reality the developing world is facing and describe how the most sustainable solutions can be designed.
Communication strategy of a company

The topic of my thesis is the communication strategy of non-profit organizations. The theoretical part deals with the explanation of important concepts, such as: non-profit organization, communication and communication process, marketing and marketing mix and finally, communication is explained as a complete integrated system. The practical part deals with specific non-profit organizations, such as Ozvěna and Hnutí Brontosaurus. The following methods are used in my thesis: a questionnaire, analysis of documents, interviews with the public and employees of organizations. The current communication strategy of organizations are analyzed and strenghts and weeknesses are identified. Based on this analysis using the above methods, there are mentioned specific recommendations for improvements.
