Design of a railway bridge with an extremely compressed construction height according to MVL 115

The aim of the thesis was a static and economic comparison of three variants of railway steel bridges with extremely compressed construction height according to the Bridge Model List (MVL) 115. A 3D model was created in RFEM for all variants. The bridge alternatives were evaluated for permanent loads, loads from rail traffic, and other significant loads. The option that came out best in terms of cost was then reassessed in more detail as part of a separate structural calculation.

Timber foot bridge over a wolf run

The subject of this diploma thesis is the construction of a timber foot bridge over the wolf run in the Šumava National Park. The total length of the bridge is 240 m with two ground plan bends. The foot bridge includes three viewing decks, two of which are covered with shed roofs. The foot bridge is divided into 16 segments. Each segment is 15 m long with a width of 2.2 meters. The ground plan dimensions of the viewing decks are approximately 15x7 and 15x11 m. As the main structural material has been chosen glued laminated timber of the strength class GL28h, other elements are made of solid timber of the strength class C24. The thesis includes an introductory document, options analysis, technical report, static analysis, bill of material and drawings.
Static verification of steel temporary bridge ŽM 30

The content of the bachelor thesis is static verification of a steel temporary bridge ŽM 30, the span of the first version is 18 m, the span of the second version is 30 m. The first version also contains a comparison with the results of load test performed on the temporary bridge. Steel construction is made of steel strength class S490. The calculations are made according to valid norms ČSN EN.
Design of a steel railway bridge with lower deck over the D35 motorway

The aim of the thesis is the design and assessment of a steel bridge over the D35 motorway in the section Opatovec – Staré Město, on the existing railway line section 017 Česká Třebová – Dzbel. It is a single-track bridge with one span (simple beam). The bridge is designed as a main beam of welded I profile, reinforced with a truss structure (Prostas beam). The bridge deck is designed orthotropic, consisting of bridge deck plate, longitudinal and transverse reinforcements. The structure is designed with S355 steel. The theoretical span of the bridge is 37.1 m. The total length of the steel structure is 38.02 m. The transverse distance between the main girders is 5.8 m. The clear width on the bridge is 5.3 m. The height of the main girder in the middle of the span is 5.0 m. The structure is supported on four pot bearings placed on the abutments To assess the structure and determine the internal forces, a model of the structure was created in Dlubal RFEM 5.31. The bridge plate, transverse bracing and longitudinal bracing are modelled as plate elements.
Timber load bearing structure of a family house

The subject of this bachelor's thesis is design and static assessment of timber load bearing structure of the family house. The object is located in Slavkov u Brna. Design of truss structure is based on architectural study by prof. Ing. arch. Ivan Ruller. The ground plan dimensions of load bearing structure are 11,63x15,00 meters and the height of the roof ridge is 6,56 meters. The structure of the roof is made as a rafter system, which is supported on the lattice truss, on the main beam and wall rafters. Horizontal forces are transferred into the wall panels by means of tight members, which are anchored to wall rafters.

The subject of the thesis is to design and consider steel superstructure of a composite steel-concrete road bridge. It is a continuous beam with seven spans of 36,0 + 57,0 + 75,0 + 90,0 + 75,0 + 57,0 + 36,0 = 426 meters. The superstructure consists of welded I-beams, which pass into closed box girder. The calculations take into account the construction phase.

Crane runway is located at car cementery in a town Bzenec. The proposal is made for the crane runway gauge of 22.5 meters and a length of 60 m. Crane track is made from solid columns with 8.0 m height and 12 m spacing, main beams crane runway, truss horizontal reinforcing beam and the reinforcing beam in an inclined plane. Part of the crane runway are also brake bracing and foundations. The basic material is steel strength grade S235.
