Simulation Modeling of Electric Actuators for Selected Critical Application

The dissertation thesis with the topic „Simulation Modelling of Electrical Drives for Selected Critical Applications“ focuses on the area of given applications in civil aviation. The selected application that the thesis deals with is an electrically driven and electronically controlled fuel pump supplying fuel to an aviation motor of the APU type. The thesis gives a comprehensive description of the design cycle of the unit and demonstrates implementing all the required critical functions. In the course of the design of the unit modern techniques in mathematical modelling, simulation, verification, monitoring and prediction of the operation status of airborne equipment were uses to the utmost extent. The purpose of these was to show the suitability of their application with regard to decreasing design time and cost, increasing lifetime and servicing intervals, as well as increasing user comfort and decreasing price. At the same time the required reliability was to be kept. The thesis also aims to prove and verify the suitability of using electronically commutated dc motors in critical applications in civil aviation. To reach this goal, it is necessary to design a robust drive control which would meet the given reliability requirements.

Validation of commercially available smartwatches as a human health/activity monitoring tool

This master's thesis deals with the topic of health and activity monitoring of individuals using smartwatches. The aim of the thesis was to collect a set of data according to a measurement protocol using various types of smartwatches, along with reference data from the Faros 180 device. The collected data from a total of nine smartwatches was synchronized, and the synchronized heart rate courses were evaluated using the mean absolute error (MAE) metric. The oxygen saturation and blood pressure parameters were statistically evaluated. In the final part of the thesis, the quality of ECG records obtained from the smartwatches and their diagnostic utility were assessed.

Vliv komplexních směsí látek ve znečištěném ovzduší na zdravotní stav rizikových populačních skupin

Cílem je stanovení rizika expozice nízkým hladinám komplexních směsí látek přítomných ve znečištěném ovzduší, hodnocení dlouhodobých účinků znečištění na reprodukční funkce žen i mužů v Praze a v Teplicích, hodnocení expozice biologicky aktivním látkám u vybrané populace ve vztahu ke znakům vnímavosti a životního stylu jedince, vytypování vhodných biomarkerů zátěže lidské populace polutantům v ovzduší, odhadnutí podílu dopravy na této zátěži a vypracování systému interpretace získaných dat. Svazek obsahuje zprávy o řešení jednotlivých projektů v rámci úkolu: Projekt 1: Monitorování ovzduší . Projekt 2: Genotoxicita ovzduší. Projekt 3: Expozice modelové populace. Projekt 4: Výsledky těhotenství. Projekt 5: Kvalita lidských spermií. Projekt 6: Hodnocení zdravotního rizika.

Národní inventura persistentních organických polutantů v České republice: Monitoring, výzkum

Je kriticky popsán stav monitorování POPs v České republice. Jsou uvedeny systémy, které poskytují informace o stavu kontaminace abiotických a biotických složek životního prostředí na vysoké úrovni, zároveň je však konstatován nedostatek integračního úsilí v jednotlivých resortech státní správy pro vznik a realizaci dlouhodobé koncepce monitoringu, který by intergovaně sledoval problematiku POPs. Jsou uvedeny možnosti rozvoje monitoringu POPs v ČR.
