5 TITLE: Possibilities of gaining financial means for running and development of the public elementary art school AUTHOR: Simona Hrubá DEPARTMENT: Education Management Center SUPERVISOR: Ing. Petr Svoboda, Ph.D. ABSTRACT: This bachelor thesis analyses which possibilities public elementary art schools make use of when getting finance for their running and development. In more detail the thesis deals with the support of these schools by their founders, if the schools carry on complementary activities, if they were forced to increase payments for education, if they have sponzors, if they were granted gifts or whether a civic association operates at school. It has been also analysed to which extent the school management is informed about possibilities of drawing subsidies from grant programmes announced by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, by local administrative units or by the EU. In theoretical part of the thesis these possibilities are described from general point of view. In the research part it has been analysed questionnaire survey, dealing with the concrete results regarding the monitored fields of financing, realized in public elementary schools in the Czech Republic. Use of grants for development of the field hockey sports club Slavia Praha

Title: Use of grants for development of the field hockey sports club Slavia Praha Objectives: The main purpose of this thesis was to set up preferred goals for the field hockey sports club Slavia Praha to ensure its successfull development, with an emphasis on the use of grants provided by the City of Prague. Another goal is to create a list of available grant programs for sports clubs in Prague. Methods: Two analysis methods were applied in this study. The first one was based on the analysis of the documents related to the application for available grants. Thanks to this method the overview of the available grants opportunities was created. The second method was SWOT analysis regarding the field hockey sports club Slavia Praha which contributed to the setting up of new partial and strategic task for the positive development of the club. Results: The field hockey sports club in Prague, which own or long term lease the sports real properties, can apply to the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports for grants. The other field hockey sports clubs can apply for grants of the Prague City Hall or its town disctricts. The Integration of Disabled People to the Leisure Time International Projects

The topic of this thesis is integration of the physically disabled into international exchange projects. By chosing this issue, I would like to point out the importance of integration of physically disadvantaged not only into educational facilities, where the integrated gain knowledge, but also into programs for free-time activities of children and youth and into programs where the informal and enterntaining ways are used. However, in the Czech Republic the integration of physically disadvantaged into schools is elaborated the best, I believe it needs to be attended to in other fields too. Another point I draw attention to in my thesis is the need for free time in a person's life. I specifically mean the free time dedicated to various activities either beneficial to one's health, bringing joy or as a way of relaxation. By the end of my theoretical part I describe the handicap in a persons's life. In the practical part I describe the EU program - Youth in Action, which enables young peope to travel into foreign countires for either short or long term period. (in English) Diploma thesis "Municipal library in Odolena Voda as an information a cultural centre : Project" suggests possibilities of changes and expansion of library services provided by the Municipal library in Odolena Voda and suggests other activities so that it becomes in the future a modern information and cultural centre of Odolena Voda . The author briefly describes the history and current status of Odolena Voda. Another part is focused on analysis of current conditions of the Municipal Library in Odolena Voda - describes its building, the library collections, users and specifies currenly offered library services and activities in which is currently the library involved. The author also summarizes the Czech legislation related to the services of public libraries, and international standards and recommendations for public library services. The goal of the thesis „Evaluation of possible benefits of Enterprise Europe Network for SME“ is to describe and analyze the services of the network in the real business environment. The theoretical part is aimed to characterize a small and middle enterprise, its importance for national economy, financial management, possibilities to obtain financial support and services of Enterprise Europe Network. The practical part is concentrated on decription of the companies which took use of the all-European network. The inquiry of processing shows us benefits and help of the network for Czech enterprisers.
Fundraising possibilities of Non-Governmental Organizations in the Czech Republic focused on Clubs residing in Prague

The subject of the thesis is a review of funding process of non-governmental organization Spolek II. TURNUS. This topic is very crucial as many NGOs would hardly operate without the support of various funds. The theoretical part of the thesis introduces the meaning of NGOs and fundraisings. It monitors the development of NGOs and describes changes that have taken occurred since the new Civil Code has taken effect. Furthermore it summarizes the analysis of multiple financing sources in domestic public budgets but also EU budgets. The practical part analyzes the expenses of a NGO from domestic public budgets in 2013 and systematically monitors financing of Spolek II. TURNUS. The efforts to obtain funds from public domestic budgets of Spolek II. TURNUS in 2014 are described along with comparison to the level of difficulty to process individual projects. This part also introduces plans of Spolek II. TURNUS for fundraising in 2015, whether it was already successful or what are the expectations while getting a financial support. The conclusion depicts changes that Spolek II. TURNUS could perform in order to maximize the support from domestic public budgets. The thesis highlights the difficulty of processing and lack of transparency of the projects for obtaining grants and funds.
Analysis of efficiency of cultural grants in Prague

This thesis deals with the efficient usage of public resources. It defines the meaning of the efficiency and also describes methods by which efficiency can be evaluated. It also deals with a quality rating in culture and the issue of financing of culture, especially theaters. An important part of this thesis is also dedicated to the cultural policy of the Czech Republic and description of the grant system of the City of Prague. The last part of the thesis is a case study, from which the most important part is to analyze the efficiency of cultural grant -- as an example is taken The Semafor Theatre. The analysis is performed using an alternative approach to assessing effectiveness, within which are examined by effects arising from the expenditure of visitors of the theater and also the impacts on the theater and its suppliers. Evaluation of tax deductions leads to conclusion, what is the return of a grant to public budgets.
Analyse of grant system provided by capital city of Prague

This bachelor thesis presents grants provided by capital city of Prague. Grant systém is described as a set of grant fields, in which the grant programs are announced. Thesis explains who can asks for dotation and how. It is also discussed, how these grants are evaluated. Text puts stress on poit of view of both prime subjects - aplicants and grantor. Effects, that grants should generate ale also discussed. Last part of thesis analyses field of free time for children and young people. Main goal of this text is, after critical evaluation, presentation of solutions to discussed problems.
The income situation of selected municipality in less favourable conditions

The thesis is focused on analysis of income situation of municipality in less favourable conditions. Municipality with smaller number of inhabitants are always dependent on tax revenue, which however are not sufficient for refundment of necessary expenditure. Then therefore to didn't have to happen to abridgement expenditure areas conversely could be assure development, must municipality search other ways and means of income in his budget. Requisite development conditions of municipality so will prevent departure young people to town conversely attract inhabitants to country. Mostly exploited possibility by all the municipality is increment of income by the help of subsidies or grants. This possibility is supported by the state, which offers by means of individual ministry different grant programs. Important providers became individual regions. The South Bohemia region offers to all his municipality possibility derive from different subsidy and grant programme.
