ANOTACE Předkládaná bakalářská práce je věnována problematice syndromu vyhoření u nelékařských zdravotnických pracovníků pracujících ve FN Motol na pozici zdravotní sestra nebo zdravotnický asistent. V teoretické části je vymezen pojem "nelékařští zdravotničtí pracovníci'' a základní informace o povolání zdravotní sestry. Teoretická část dále obsahuje přehled relevantních poznatků týkajících se syndromu vyhoření, příčin a příznaků, ale i prevence této diagnózy. Teachers: burnout syndrom versus engagement and professional enthusiasm

The thesis is dealing with the problematics of burnout syndrome and engagement in teaching profession in different types of schools and grades. Its objective is to detect the degree of burnout in a selected sample of teachers and map the main determinants of contentment related to engaged teachers. The theoretical part defines the concept of burnout syndrome, its development, progress, signs, causes and diagnostics. It clarifies the development of burnout in teaching profession. Furthermore, it describes the key characteristics of engagement, the diagnostic methods and the relationship between teaching and engagement. The empiric part has two goals: to find out the degree of burnout in teachers and depict the essential factors which contribute to their engagement. The research was based on questionnaires and interviews and answered the research questions. The results are presented in tables and graphs. In conclusion, there are some suggestions how to lower the risk of genesis and growth of burnout syndrome. Factors associated with lower levels of perceived stress and feelings of burn-out among elementary school teachers

This diploma thesis is theoretically-empirical. The theoretical part provides us with information about stress and burnout syndrome obtained on the basis of study of relevant literature. It defines the basic concepts of stress and burnout syndrome and introduces us to their basic characteristics. In the second empirical part is the rate and frequency of burnout staff is determined on the basis of a questionnaire survey in the sample of pedagogical staff. As a partical part targeted interviews with selected teachers are used as a complementary method.

The Burnout Syndrome in Teachers' Work

TITLE The Burnout Syndrome in Teachers' Work ABSTRACT The burnout syndrome represents a serious problem affecting the quality of the life of the stricken persons as well as their efficiency. The notion burnout is defined here. This bachelor thesis specifies the main theoretical sources of burnout, the evolution and the formation of its characteristics. It brings the summary of the circumstances which can facilitate or limit the origin and development of burnout. The burnout syndrome affects members of helping professions mainly. The concept of the helping professions is defined here. The teaching profession is one of the helping professions. The teaching profession is one of the demanding professions. There are the various influences disturbing the work of teachers which affect the overall personal performance and professional satisfaction. This bachelor thesis reports physical and psychical load in teacher work. Situations that can be the source of the emotional exhaustion for teachers are mentioned. The causes of the burnout syndrome, the symptomatology and some of its negative consequences considering the teaching profession are described. Burnout Syndrome of Leisure Time Activities Specialist.

This thesis is dealing with burnout syndrome among leisure time specialists. Theoretical part describes burnout syndrome, its historical basis, symptoms and causes, protective factors and preventive techniques, which prevent from burnout syndrome risk. Next part deals with common stress, its causes and symptoms, and psychosocial stress, which is closely related with burnout syndrome. Ending of the theoretical part is focused on understanding the differences between jobs of common teacher and leisure time specialist, their competences, demands and factors causing burnout syndrome. The goal of the practical part is to find out, whether leisure time specialists are equally threatened by burnout syndrome as common teachers, and whether their burnout relates with their experience, sex or type a personal behavior.
