Physical condition of children in relation to leisure activities

This bachelor's thesis deals with children's physical condition based on their leisure activities. It contains topics as free time, leisure activities, sports and characteristics of older school-age children. These topics were described by using specialised literature. There is also used a quantitative research method in the form of a questionnaire and simple physical tests for children of the 2nd grade from two elementary schools. The aim of the work is to find out how a selected sample of children spends their free time and how the activities and physical condition of children living in the village differ from children living in the city.
Drinking regime as a part of a children and teenagers healthy lifestyle

This bachelor thesis examines drinking regime of elementary school pupils in Chrast, a small town in the Chrudim region. The paper is divided into the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part highlights the importance of water in the human body. It also deals with the nutrients and other usual drinks ingredients. Firstly, various kinds of drinks are described as well as their effect on the human body. Fruit, vegetables and soup, partly counted into drinking regime, are also dealt with. Secondly, the nutritional recommendations concerning the drinking regime within younger school age children, teenagers as well as children with nutritional resctrictions are examined. This part also deals with the drinks which children prefer, examining the reasons of their choice. The practical part is focused on the research which was applied with the pupils and the teachers of the Chrast elementary school. The data were gained through a questionnaire survey. The survey examines the main principles of drinking regime within the pupils, their opinions and ideas. It also monitors the teachers view of the proper and healthy drinking regime of their pupils. Assesement of effects of antismoking policy focused on children and teenagers

Diploma thesis "Assesement of effects of antismoking policy focused on children and teenagers" deals with the problem of young smokers, whose numbers are not significantly decreasing in the Czech republic despite broad range of measures taken in recent years. Efficiency and funcionality of those measures leading to the protection of children and health promotion as well as the proposed solutions of battle against tobacco companies' marketing are evaluated. Czech republic legislation and its effects on children's cigarette consumption is therefor analyzed. Moreover, possible solutions in form of WHO's proposals are introduced.
Addictive behavior on the internet among children placed in a children's home

Background: So far, no research has been conducted among children from children's homes in the Czech Republic, which would map their relationship to addictive substances and the potential risk of addiction to the internet, even though these children are a vulnerable group that is targeted by many state institutions and helping professions. Objective: The aim was to find out the prevalence of internet addiction in children in children's homes, to map out the temporal character of addictive behavior and the internet applications they visit the most. The data collected were compared with the data obtained from ESPAD 2015 and the National Substance Use Research 2016. The data were used to analyze how much children ordered to institutional care differ in substance use, the internet and other communication technologies, from children that live in a family environment. Methodology: The obtained questionnaire data were subjected to descriptive statistical methods. The results of the individual questionnaire questions were numerically expressed, then graphically presented and commented on in relation to the theoretical background. The questions about leisure time of children and youth

The bachelor final work ?The questions about leisure time of children and youth ?deals with questions of teenage free time and factors, which participate on choice of free time activities. In the theoretical part scientific literature was elaborated and the first chapter characterizes family and its influence on selection of interest activities. Basic legal regulations concerning this topic are depicted in the next chapter. Conceptions of upbringing and free time are defined and characterized in the other chapters. The last chapter describes institutions which handle with free time education. The practical part is primarily focused on searching for differences of spending free time of children and youth in families, which profess a religious belief and in non-religious families. In the practical part there are given three hypotheses.
