Čermáková, Eliška ; Urbářová, Eliška (advisor) ; Levínská, Kateřina (referee)
The popularity of floorball has been growing significantly. Floorball, as any other sport, is associated with certain health risks. Not only acute injuries but also chronic injuries have been connected with practicing sports. There is high risk of development of muscle imbalance, cumulative trauma disorders and chronic overuse, that negatively influence motor development of child. The aim of this diploma thesis was to evaluate the influence of corrective exercise on motor functions of young floorball players. Methodology: Two top Czech floorball teams of young boys has participated in the research. The observed group was composed of 79 players (Group A - 40 players, Group B - 39 players) aged 11 and 12 (the average age of 12,1 ± 0,6 SD). Short version of motor funciton test BOT-2 has been used to examine participants. Additional anamnestic data were used to run detailed analysis of factors influencing the test results. Results: The players of Tatran Střešovice and FbS Bohemians scored average percentiles of 63,45 ± 26,1 SD and 65,5 ± 27,8 SD respectively. That implies no impact of corrective exercise on results of motor funciton test (p = 0,74).However, the corrective exercise has decreased the risk of injury (p = 0,0183). The athletes playing for the team for more than 3 years have significantly...

Omcirk, Dan ; Chrzanowská, Babeta (advisor) ; Čechovská, Irena (referee)
Title of diploma thesis: Testing physical assumptions of swimmers and modern pentathlonists Author: Bc. Dan Omcirk Supervisor of diploma thesis: PhDr. Babeta Chrzanowská Consultant of diploma thesis: PhDr. Pavel Hrásky, Ph.D. Objective: Target is to test the swimmers and modern pentagons in the age from 9 - 13 years. Furthermore to evaluate and tabulate the results. Compare the selected results in- between the groups and assess whether the training is affecting the level of certain motor assumptions, physical abilities and selected body parameters. Methodology: The research method of this work is comparison. The research group was composed by children from the SK Motorlet Praha (n = 13, mean age 11.5 ± 1.1 years) and children from the modern pentagon Dukla Praha (n = 10, mean age 10.5 ± 0.8 years). Tested objects were participated in motor-fitness tests - Cooper's test (running and swimming test 12 minutes), joint mobility test (shoulder, lumbar spine and hip segment), lower limb dynamics test, absolute upper limb strength, postural stability and body composition test. The measured results were evaluated and compared. The final results should be used as an recommendations for practice use. Results: The results of the group comparisons are presented in the practical part of this work, including the...

Parents´ and nurses´ attitude from the general pediatrist surgery, to obligatory and optional children vaccination.
SUCHANOVÁ, Martina
Abstract Vaccination is an important part of medical prevention, particularly as prevention of some infectious diseases. A primary care nurse checks vaccination status and informs parents on vaccination terms. She is responsible for trouble-free course of vaccination. Apart from compulsory vaccination parents may have their children vaccinated against some diseases, which is non-compulsory and paid from private funds. The practical part of the thesis is a combination of quantitative and qualitative research. A questioning method, the questionnaire technique was chosen for the quantitative research, the research sample consisted of parents of children between 0 and 10 years of age. The 1st goal of the research was to map how well parents having 0-10 year old children were informed on compulsory and non-compulsory vaccination in České Budějovice. A hypothesis was set upon the chosen goal: Parents of 0-10 year old children are informed on compulsory and non-compulsory vaccination. The hypothesis was confirmed. The 2nd goal was to find out what the most frequent fears of vaccination were among parents of 0-10 year old children. The hypothesis formulated to this goal, that parents of 0-10 year old children were afraid of vaccination side effects was not confirmed. A half of the questioned parents have fears. The 3rd goal was to find whether parents were was interested in non-compulsory vaccination. The hypothesis set to this goal, that parents of 0-10 year old children are interested in non-compulsory vaccination was confirmed. The quantitative research employed a questioning method, the technique of depth interview with nurses working at paediatric surgeries in České Budějovice. The fourth goal was to map the role of a nurse in motivating parents to have their children vaccinated. A research question was based on the chosen goal: What is the role of a nurse in motivating parents to have their children vaccinated? I found from interviews with the nurses that a nurse motivates parents through information on vaccination, vaccination terms, on contradiction and adverse responses. She helps solve vaccination related problems. The bachelor thesis may improve knowledge among students, parents and nurses working at paediatric practitioner surgeries and among the public interested in vaccination.
