The property issues resultant from divorce in the Roman Empire Abstract This work deals with the topic of property relationships between married couples in relation to their divorce in the Roman world of the emperors. The main property issues at hand are dowry, property connections between the individual families and presents between the husband and wife. To understand the institutes involved properly, the work first presents the topic of marriage so that the reader may better understand the types of marriage, which naturally influence the divorce proceedings and their actual impact on the couple in question. The prerequisites of marriage are considered as well as the differences between marriage cum in manum conventione and marriage sine in manum conventione. Next, details of property relationships between married couples in times before divorce are discussed, especially as relates to the possible types of marriage. The topic of dowry, bridegift and gifts between spouses are contemplated. In its third chapter, the work deals with other forms of ending the marriage other than divorce, so that the institute of mariage in context of the roman empire can be better understood. 1 Název práce v anglickém jazyce Marriage from the point of view of civil and canon law Abstract Marriage is an important legal institution that affects a large number of the population. Marriage as we know it today evolved out of church marriage, and it is not only because of this that the two types of marriage that exist side by side with mutual respect for each other today are very similar in many ways. The purpose of this study is to describe and analyse the two types of Marriage, compare them to each other, and make comparisons with a focus on the variations between the two marriages. The objectives and purpose of the study are stated in the Introduction and the success of the objectives in the Conclusion. In the first part (chapters 1 and 2), the author focuses exclusively on civil marriage, from its historical development and legal sources, through the phase preceding the formation of marriage and the wedding ceremony representing the creation of marriage, to its dissolution. A significant part is also dedicated to the procedural aspects of divorce procedure, which represent a completely special type of civil procedure. Formation and termination of marriage with respect to property issues

The purpose of my thesis entitled ,,Formation and termination of marriage with regard to the proprietary aspects" is the analysis of institutions of marriage and the community property. These institutions are characterized in terms of their formation, existence and termination. The thesis is composed of six chapters, for of them dealing with formation and termination of the marriage and two of them dealing with community property. Besides these six chapters the paper also contains the introduction and the conclusion. Chapter number one contains the formation of the marriage in terms of civil law, which is analyzed marriage, bethrothment, assumptions of marriage and nuptials (eligibility for marriage, wedding statement and celebration of a betrothal), proceedings before marriage (application and documents, certificates), special ways of marriage (formation of marriage by agent, formation of marriage abroad, formation of marriage in direct danger to life fiance) and legal consequences of nuptials. Marriage The aim of this thesis is to describe legal institution of marriage - from the conclusion of marriage to the ending of it - according to the current legislation. I compare main changes introduced by the new Civil Code with legislation before 1st of January 2014. The reason I chose this topic was the fact that institute of marriage affects everyday life of almost every individual. My thesis is composed of five chapters. Each of them deals with different aspects of marriage. Besides these five chapters this thesis includes Introduction, Conclusion, Index of Appendices and the List of Bibliographical References. Chapter one concentrates on the most important changes in the Family law area during the modern history, including recent recodification of private law. This chapter also contains summary of the main legal sources of marital law and examines the term marriage itself and its purpose. Chapter two focuses on the conclusion of marriage. Main focus is on engagement, the actual process of marriage, the purpose of marriage, proceedings preceding the conclusion of marriage and the types of forms of marriage. Marriage is an important legal institution, which is connected with the development of Christian-Jewish culture and concerns, whether directly or indirectly, every one of us. In this is seen topicality of chosen topic and this fact is underlined by the adopting of the Act. No. 89/2012 Coll, the Civil Code, which is progressing in the continuity of the previous legislation, but it also brings a number of changes. In this work was used a large number of books, commentary literature, technical articles or legal textbooks. Finally, there are theoretical conclusions and statutory provisions, supported by higher Courts jurisprudence, which is despite of the changing in legislation, still apply. The work is divided into three parts which are preceded by Introduction and terminated by Conclusion. Part One is named Marriage, aims to bring readers the institution of marriage and to point out interdisciplinary character and the number of different approaches and attempts to define it. Rites of passage as a theme in the history textbooks

The intention of the Diploma thesis Rites of passage as a theme in the history textbooks is analyze the history textbooks of upper primary school in terms of rites of passage. This practical part is preceded by general introduction to the issue of rituals and rites of passage. The following is a discussion of selected rites of passage, which are weddings and funerals. Selected rites of passage determine the direction which is going analysis itself textbooks. In general I am interested in themes of weddings, funerals and all other facts that are associated with the issue in analyzing textbooks. Then I find out, how and what extent selected rites of passage are presented to pupils. So that pupils gain the most information from the particular way in view of the rites of passage, I deal also possibilities to enrich a certain representation of ritual. The conclusion summarizes the main reasons for the changes of rites of passage that appear in the history books for upper primary school. William Slavata of Chlum and Košumberk. Lifeway to the window of Prague Castle and from there to glory

The main topic of the thesis is William Slavata of Chlum and Košumberk. The most important information about his life and career in many significant provincial and royal offices is summarized at the beginning of my thesis, which is divided into five chapters. The third chapter, which follows after the introduction, list of sources of literature and explanation of key terms, describes the development of a prominent clan of Slavata of Chlum and Košumberk, whose origins according to the oldest historical sources can be traced back to the turn of the 11th century. Moreover, I linked the history of Slavata of Chlum and Košumberk clan with geographical context by adding detailed description of clan residences in the Kingdom of Bohemia. The fourth chapter deals with Vilém Slavata of Chlum and Košumberk himself, illustrating the everyday life of a high nobility representative. The fifth chapter gives information on the picture depicting the life of Count Vilem Slavata as well as other important events of this era in art.

This diploma thesis is focused on the issues of marriage, married life and mutual relationships between married couple. The other part is focused on the factors of stability that can influence the marriage. The target of this diploma thesis is to cover the most important situations in the marriage that could disturb the stability. The theoretical part is also focused on the concepts as the marriage, the law and the divorce. There is also small part about the fundamental methods of the marital therapy and influence that have children on the marriage. The empirical part is focused on the views of married couples for the stability of marriage and also the influences that work on stability the most and the most distinct.
Nuptiality in the Czech Republic: cross-sectional and cohort view

Nuptiality in the Czech Republic: cross-sectional and cohort view Abstract The objective of this study is to describe the development of primo-nuptiality in the Czech Republic from 1961 to 2014 using primo-nuptiality life tables. These tables have been calculated to such an extent with the use of the same methodology for the first time and thus their complete mutual comparability is guaranteed. For each period there are selected years, which are then in detail examined primarily in terms of intensity and timing of first marriages. As for illustration there are also mentioned external socioeconomic factors of the given time period, which has been affecting the discussed indicators. The last chapter of the study adresses a cohort view on primo-nuptiality of specific birth cohorts. The development of the cohort primo-nuptiality quantum by age and respective differences are investigated.
