Importance and creation of strategy for SME

Although strategic management is one of the most important part of company management, SME management is not focused on it or only a little. If SMEs are interested to exist on market in a long term, they will have to soon or later start with making strategies and apply methods of strategic management. Target of my thesis was to make strategic analysis and create design of strategy's variant of small enterprise. The thesis highlights importance of strategy for SMEs and involves procedure of creating strategy which is applied in practice on the small enterprise.

Analyses of potential of Software as a Service model in small and medium enterprises

This paper analyses potential of Software as a Service (SaaS) model in small and medium enterprises (SME). SaaS model is rapidly expanding trend between software delivery models. The first chapter describes evolution of software delivery models, which peaks in the most recent "Software as a Service" model. It analyses key features of SaaS in qualitative, technological and legal dimensions. The first chapter also mentions assesment methods for IT investments. This chapter introduces basic theoretical framework for next chapters. Next chapter focuses on category of small and medium enterprises. It defines main macroeconomic indicators and organizational specifics of SMEs. This chapter also presents results of research into reasons for and against the use of applications with SaaS model in small and medium enterprises. Last chapter selects the most common software categories used by small and medium enterprises. For each category it analyses and describes current state of the SaaS market. After analysing the market situation, it selects broad range of applications for each category. Using multi-dimensional approach it recommends three products best suited for SMEs. For all categories it maps potential of the three recommended products. These three products are then thoroughly compared with each other using extended set of criteria. The chapter ends with a summary of possibilities offered by these applications to SMEs.

Analýza společnosti EKON s. r. o. na trhu

Tato práce se zabývá jednou z metod analyzování postavení na trhu - SWOT analýzou. Identifikuje hlavní podnikové přednosti (silné stránky), největší slabiny (slabé stránky) a případné příležitosti a ohrožení plynoucí z vnějšího prostředí podniku. Managementu firmy by měla zmíněná analýza pomáhat při strategickém rozhodování, navrhuje řešení problémů s cílem zlepšit či alespoň udržet současné postavení podniku.

Selected support programmes for SME's

In the first part of this thesis there is described sector of SME's in detail and support they get from state. There is elaborated influence of SME's on Czech economy, particularly on added value, employment, investments and foreign trade. Apart from that there are specified some of their advantages and disadvantages that arise mostly from their size. In the first part there is further described support programme OPPI which focuses on innovative oriented SME's. There is also described JEREMIE initiative that is based on cooperation of public finance together with venture capital funds. Furthermore there is stressed the importance of innovations for flowering of economy based on knowledges. In the second part there is described venture capital in detail, especially there is explained how it works, types of venture capital investments and linkage between venture capital and innovations. The thesis then focuses on presence of venture capital in CEE region and particularly in Czech Republic. There are also pointed out typical types of investments in CEER and Czech Republic.

Analýza postavení společnosti Mithras s.r.o. na českém trhu

Bakalářská práce řeší problematiku postavení MSP na českém trhu, nejprve obecně a dále v aplikaci na společnost Mithras s.r.o. V teoretické části jsou popsány MSP a vysvětleny nejdůležitější souvislosti strategické analýzy. Empirická část obsahuje charakteristiku podniku, na kterém je provedena strategická analýza. Závěr obsahuje návrhy a doporučení ke zlepšení současné situace.
