Motejlek, Tadeáš ; Omcirk, Dan (advisor) ; Oláh, Vladan (referee)
Title: The effect of maximal strength in bench press on punch force in combat sports Objectives: The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to find out whether the maximum strength in the bench press has an effect on the force of the punch in combat sports and whether it is therefore advantageous to include the bench press in training for the development of the strength of the upper limbs in combat sports. Next, to verify whether there is a connection between the maximum force of the punch and additional variables, which include the speed of lifting the barbell during the bench press, the intercept of the speed axis V0, the intercept of the load axis L0, the area under the line and the slope of the regression line. Methods: The research was based on testing bench press maximum strength for one repetition maximum and maximum force of the rear cross punch of the dominant upper limb. During tests were used position transducers to measure the lifting speed of the barbell and force plate to measure the impact of punch. The evaluation of the measured data took place using the Shpiro-Wilk test of normality of data distribution and subsequent correlation analysis using the Spearman correlation coefficient. Results: Between the one repetition maximum in bench press and maximum punch force was found no...

There were 18 respondents who distinguished the difficulty of the 8 selected exercises. A 10-point Borg Scale was used to evaluate the difficulty, which records the individual perception of the effort required to perform the exercise. Results: The result of the work is a set of exercises on the gymnastic ball suitable for training fight positions and situations for combat on the ground. Furthermore, individual evaluation of the difficulty of selected exercises wrestlers combat sports. The exercises were evaluated by the respondents from simple ones, such as the "Shifting feet while lying on belly" exercise to very demanding "Kneeling on one leg" exercises. The overall assessment suggests that the...

Title: Evaluation of postural stability in subjects engaged in combatand non-contact sports Objectives: The aim of this diploma thesis is to investigate the influence of contact itself during sport activities on postural stability of athletes. Methods: Into this quasi-experiment study there were picked 16 atheletes (n=16) in age from 22 to 35 years. Selected individuals were divided into two groups of eight according to their sporting activity (combat sports, baseball. In the mentioned individuals the postural stability was measured. To measure postural stability the computerized dynamic posturography of EquiTest Smart System from Neurocom was used. Measured data were processed using Neurocom Balance Manager Software. For the analysis of the data following statistical methods - paired t-test, Mann-Whitney test and rate of clinical signifikance (Cohen's d) were used. Results: The results indicate that individuals performing in combat sports were reaching higher mean scores in Limits of Stability than baseball players. This fact has been statistically and clinically proven. On the other hand baseball players reached higher mean Equilibrium Scores in Sensory organization test, however this fact has not been statistically nor clinically proven. No significant differences between the groups in motor...
