Mexican illegal trade in the context of organized crime

This thesis focuses on the highly discussed topic of organized crime in Mexico and the illegal business operations carried out by Mexican groups of organized crime denominated drug cartels. The text is divided into two parts. The theoretical part includes definitions, characteristics and trends of organized crime and illegal trade and problems in dealing with this problem. The practical part then focuses on the specific situation in Mexico (cartels, their activities, functioning, influence and solution proposal). This paper aims to analyze the current situation and functioning of drug cartels in the country through different perspectives (typology, activities, way and cause of their origin) in order to map their impact and influence, while demonstrating that these groups fulfill the global concept of international organized crime. Partial targets will be the comparison of the functioning of these groups of organized crime and legal businesses; find out whether or not these activities affect political and economic development; based on the previous information analyze key issues and last, but not least to propose solutions to combat this phenomenon.
Business specifics in Russia on the example of selected companies (Kovosvit MAS, a.s.)

The diploma thesis is focused on evaluation of mutual foreign trade between the Czech Republic and the Russian Federation. The subject will be described both on a theoretical basis and with the introduction of common practice. The impact of WTO entry, substitution of imports and economic sanctions in connection with the Ukrainian crisis is being analysed to bring the Russian market closer. State reforms of the business environment took place in several waves, but also the influence of regional self-governments on implementation was incorporated. The foreign trade of the Russian Federation with the Czech Republic is enriched with the tools of Czech export support. The practical part is dedicated to Kovosvit MAS and its business activities on the Russian market.
The cooperation of Czech Republic and Mongolia

This dissertation deals with the cooperation of Czech Republic with Mongolia. In the beginning, it focuses on description of Mongolia and its basic characteristics. It continues with the engagement of Mongolia in worldwide issues through international and regional organizations and partnerships. Major organization as the UN, IMF, WTO, etc. are described, as well as the cooperation within Asia, but also the cooperation with European Union and of course with Czech Republic both in the past and present. Further, this dissertation provides the information about the perception of Mongolia in Czech Republic. It focuses on the culture differences of Mongolians, but also the perception of Mongolia from the point of view of politics, science and research and last, but not least, business. The main outcome of this dissertation is set of advices and recommendations for entering into a partnership with Mongolia and for maintaining the cooperation.
Norway's relations with the EU and possible cooperation with the Czech Republic

The Master's thesis analyzes relations of Norway to the European union. The main objective is to describe historical development of Norway's relation to the European integration and both two unsuccessful attempts to join the EU. Furthermore, the Thesis clarifies why Norway is not an EU member yet, how bis is the probability of its accession in the future and which advantages and disadvantages would the eventual membership bring to them. The second objective is to analyze the trade and economic cooperation between the Czech republic and Norway and to assess its intenzity. One part of the Thesis is also devoted to the questionnaire survey whose main task is to discover the opinion of Norwegians on the country´s accession to the EU.
Position of the brand AB on czech market with electronics and it's marketing strategy

This thesis deals with the analysis of the marketing strategy and activities of the AB brand, which is part of the K + B Progres, a.s. Brand management is in charge of the so-called Import Department, which is already engaged in export activities. The work is focused on the portfolio of small consumer electronics. The company does not produce the goods but trades with it. The author of the thesis explores the existing marketing activities of the AB brand and further analyzes its external and internal environment. The analyzes that have been carried out in order to meet the objectives of the work are PEST, VRIO and microcool brand analysis. In addition, the author made a questionnaire survey mainly to determine the perception of the AB mark of the consumer. On the basis of the collected information, SWOT analyzes and the resulting recommendations were developed.
The analysis of the marketing strategy of chosen airlines

The aim of the diploma thesis is the analysis of the marketing strategy of chosen airlines, Austrian Airlines, Emirates and Korean Air, and their comparison. The analysis is focused on the SWOT analysis and the marketing mix of these airlines. The result is the evaluation of the efficiency of current marketing strategies and the proposal of specific steps which could be applied to these marketing strategies. The next parts of the thesis are the characteristic and the history of the aviation, the characteristic of the marketing of services and the marketing research which helped to the evaluation of current marketing strategies and to new suggestions.
Analysis of current business cooperation of ALTECH spol. s.r.o. with Brazil, and a draft of entry strategy to this market with other products

Entire work is a combination of theory, which is enriched in each chapter by practical experience. The thesis deals with current business cooperation of selected Czech society with Brazil. The main objective is to create the design of the entry strategy on the Brazilian market - from initial market considerations, through searching for contacts and forms of possible cooperation, to selecting a form of entry into this market. Besides making an internal analysis of the company and analyzing the Brazilian market, this proposal is based on better or worse experiences of Czech companies already operating in Brazil.
Úloha Svetovej obchodnej organizácie pri rozvíjaní hospodárskych reforiem a výkonnosti frankofónnej Afriky

This Master thesis is aimed to provide a theoretical framework of the application of Special and Differential Treatment in the countries of Francophone Africa from time perspective. How did they evolve and what progress they generated in the last century. The first chapter is to mention the economic and political featurs of the Francophone Africa countries and to identify why the membership in the WTO is important for advancement that they were able to achieve during the last decades. The second chapter classifies the WTO pillars in providing economic cooperation for developing countries. This section also describes the special provisions of WTO giving developing and least developed countries exclusive unilateral rights. The third chapter distresses the implementation of the WTO trade development instruments in Francophone Africa. This section will acknowledge the significance of the The Bali Package and November 2014 decisions. What is more, it will present the implications of Special and Differential Treatement in two biggest countries of Francophone Africa: Mauritania and Tchad. Significant point of this Master Thesis is the need for greater cooperation, coordination, and coherence among all nations of Francophone Africa. The challenge for them is not to create a new mechanism, but to get all of the existing mechanisms to work together more effectively to achieve their common goal.
Comparison of Czech and American company based on strategic analysis

This bachelor thesis deals with a strategic analysis of Czech and American company, which are active in an expanding field of industrial automation and robotization, and with a subsequent comparison based on individual parts of the analysis. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the extent to which the external and internal factors resemble or differ, mutually influence each other, and whether the differences in the external environment lead to differences in the internal environment of the companies. For the purpose of the strategic analysis, PEST analysis, Five forces of Porter, SWOT analysis and internal analysis, which was divided into factors of scientific and technical development, production factors and production management, marketing and distribution factors, factors of human resources and financial and budgetary factors, were carried out.
Services in the WTO and developing countries

The aim of the thesis is to analyze the importance, influence and role of developing countries in the WTO with focus on the General Agreement on Trade in Services and on the example of the developing country India evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of the country's participation in GATS. The first part of the thesis is devoted to developing countries, the world trade in services and the services liberalization, both at general level and under GATS. The second part deals with the status of developing countries in GATS, their role, importance and participation in the current round of negotiations. The last part analyzes India's position in the WTO and GATS and deals with the education sector. Finally, the advantages and disadvantages of the country's participation in GATS are assessed.
