Life
Maliňáková, Kamila ; Zálešák, Jan (referee) ; Mikyta, Svätopluk (advisor)
My bachelor´s thesis is called Life. My original intention was to paint a monumental, perfect picture, triptych of good, evil and something in between. Something like an altar of 2014 according to the model of the old masters. But at the beginning of my work there were a lot of doubts about my painting. It became more and more fabricated, which was confirmed by my teachers too. And therefore I decided to reassess my work and I found out, that more interesting than original painting is a backstage of my painting, the things, that hapeend around. And this is now a topic of my bachelor´s thesis - Backstage of my painting.

Dissertation entitled Multilogues on the Now. Dis/ability and gender in contemporary feminist curating offers a reflection and a theoretical framework of the curatorial methods developed and applied during a long-term exhibition project Multilogues on the Now (2017 - 2022) that took place in Display - association for research and collective practice in Prague. Through a series of exhibitions, discussions, screenings, commissioned artworks, publications, shared meals and workshops, the project’s aim was to comprehensively formulate questions related to bodily autonomy, emancipatory needs for self-determination, social frameworks and nuances of impairment and "disability" and ableist exclusion and discrimination their basis, or the material nature of the non-normative lived experience. The dissertation anchors the project in the context of current debates surrounding curatorial research, intersectional feminist curating informed by critical disability studies. It also emphasizes the importance of auto-theory and embodied perspectives on life with illness and disability in contemporary curatroial practice.
Output: a piece of dope material evidence for academic and online validation
Polách, Jakub ; Zálešák, Jan (referee) ; Kubíková, Zuzana (advisor)
According to Konrad Paul Liessmann, knowledge society is a structure subject to certain political and economic interests. University education, being a part of this structure, is reduced to mere professional training and the potential of knowledge acquired in this manner can be measured only in terms of its usefulness in the labour market. Under these circumstances, industrial society is being transformed into a society focused not on extraction of raw materials but on extraction of knowledge. Liessmann speaks about a process of knowledge industrialization: an industrial worker, subjected to an economic model driven by material production, is replaced by a knowledge worker, subjected to an economic model operating with symbolic value. Education is subjected to management control asserting economic evaluation – knowledge undergoes industrial processing, so that values, opinions and beliefs ultimately have no relevance within the context. What is of utmost importance is the quantifiable output, sick evidence of academic/online validation. In connection to this critique, my BA thesis discusses the possible content of the depleted BcA academic degree. Any sort of commodification occurring in the process is purely coincidental.

Králík, Martin ; Zálešák, Jan (referee) ; Gabriel, Michal (advisor)
Red Queen is a chess piece on the story of Alice in Wonderland, which is constantly running to hold it in place, because the world around it is constantly in motion. Therefore, it is a symbol of the theory of evolution, a constant necessity innovation and the eternal escape from competitors. Red Queen's Race is constructed into a miniature civilization, or rather one growing superorganism, which constantly oscillates between the digital and the physical world. The main consciousness of this association is black majestically looking server that supplies with his computing power and energy all attached printers. They are designed specifically for this purpose, such as abstraction of robotics industry, with an emphasis on a functionally aesthetic form, in yellow-orange color of heavy industrial machinery. The most important and largest part of this system, are entities which printers materialize. They are created according to a living creature of this world, generated by computer, based on a unique code, which is the result of calculating the evolutionary recombination, processed by the server, depending on the reactions of outside observers at the objects which are already created. Sense of each entity is attract attention. How much more, the greater is the chance to continue their code in future generations.
