Kousalová, Irena ; Volavá, Iva (advisor) ; Tichá, Alena (referee)
Firstly, I have tried to represent a musical as a whole, capturing its formality and historical development from both points of view; the international and the domestic ones. Additionally, I have focused on the contemporary Czech musicals. The second part was conceived in the didactic aspects, which were completed with few factual methodical instances. I took into account the psychological aspects of teenagers and the actual results of my sociometrical research. However, it is of course impossible to contain and to use all the varieties of the inspiration. The urgent necessity to clarify the terms of musical to public and especially to teachers was the main task when I was writing this dissertation. Since this music genre has noticed its "boom" very recently, it tries now to build its reputation. Unfortunately, as a consequence of this fact, the methodical materials lack still the necessary information about this genre. The shortage of methodical sources causes then the helplessness and refusal approach of teachers to this topic. Musical lies in the vocal, motoric and dramatic components which are supposed to provide the appropriate means for polyesthetic concept of music education. Moreover, the establishment of new Open educational programme emphasizes particularly music activities and mutual cooperation...

Bel canto - ideal aim in technique preparation of teachers
Sklenářová, Terezie ; Havlíček, Michael (advisor) ; Volavá, Iva (referee)
The notion bel canto is frequently used among singers and singing masters but nobody knows how exactly this concept should be specified. The students then are confused and consequently do not achieve such good results as they could. This fact inspired me for the topic of my master thesis, which is to briefly conclude, what has already been written about bel canto and put it into the context with the vocal training of teachers to be. This master thesis forms a complex work. There is a chapter about the vocal physiology, because every student should have at least basic knowledge about this topic. Because not all the students learn or understand Italian I added the chapter about the basic principles of the Italian pronunciation based on the Metodo practico di canto italiano by N. Vaccai. At the close of the theoretical part I introduced three significant names connected with bel canto, that are Niccolô Vaccai, Mathilde Marchesi a Lilli Lehmann. The vocal training has the only aim, that is the beauty of the voice and precise intonation. There are as many ways leading to this aim as many singing masters exist.
