Digital parenting: the relationship between parents' socioeconomic status and their children's internet activities
Václavíková, Markéta ; Lupač, Petr (advisor) ; Šafr, Jiří (referee)
This thesis analyses the influence of parents and children's characteristics on the usage of active and restrictive mediation strategies. Relations have been verified by using regression analysis of data from the EU Kids Online IV survey from 2018. Emphasis was put especially on factors related to digital inequalities, namely socioeconomic status and the level of digital skills of the parents. These factors impact how individuals use digital media and their general behaviour towards them. Therefore, it is important to observe these factors in relation to digital parenting because parents can influence not only access to digital media and the way they are used but also the risks and opportunities to which a child is exposed on the internet. Active mediation should educate children about the usage of digital media and, through that, maximise the opportunities that come with the internet. However, restrictive mediation uses prohibition and rules to protect children from risks but does not lead to the acquisition of new digital media-related skills. Analysis shows that higher socioeconomic status, digital skills, and the age of a child impact the usage of active mediation strategies. However, no relationship was proven between the restrictive mediation and neither socioeconomic status nor digital...
Occurrence of Cytisus scoparius along the stretch of D1 motorway between Sokolov and Karlovy Vary
VÁCLAVÍKOVÁ, Marie
The subject of this bachelor thesis is mapping of the occurrence of the Scotch broom in a defined area along the D6 highway in the section between Karlovy Vary and Sokolov. Assessment of occurrence conditions and comparison with conditions in other localities. The first part includes general information about the plant species and its occurrence. The next part defines the areas of the field reserch. In the third - practical - part, the research of Scotch broom in the defined areas is described in detail. The conclusion summarizes all the above-mentioned chapters.

Pollinators are potentially exposed to a number of pesticides in the environment. The most important group of hazardous substances comes from the category of plant protection products (PPPs), which are applied not only by farmers but also by small gardeners. Each PPP including the active substance and formulation undergoes a very detailed and thorough evaluation, which is in the European Union (EU) based on Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council. Although the negative effects of PPPs on the environment and non-target organisms are minimized with proper use, we cannot rule out possible hidden effects, especially those of a sublethal nature. Modern analytical approaches, such as the application of high-throughput methods, help to identify hidden side effects. This methodology is focused on the evaluation of the effect of sublethal doses of pesticides on solitary bees employing the OMICs approach. In the risk assessment of pesticides, the honey bee has long been preferred as a model species of pollinator, while solitary bees stay in the background. The methodology contains innovative aspects for experiments, such as a modified isolator, preparation of plants for exposure, the timing of the experiment, monitoring of active substance distribution or proteomic analysis of solitary bees to identify hidden effects of the test substance or its formulation. In this methodology, the model of the solitary bee, red mason bee (Osmia bicornis), is considered. However, the methodology is also applicable to other, especially related species of solitary bees. The methodology can be used in areas of state administration, private laboratories and research activities in the assessment of environmental risks of pesticides on solitary bees. The methodological procedure can confirm or even eliminate environmental risks when registering new products or reevaluating existing products. This methodology therefore has the potential for use in testing new substances intended for plant protection before their registration. In an exemplary embodiment, the effect of acetamiprid in a Careo sticks formulation was tested. The distribution of acetamiprid in the soil substrate and the plant was evaluated. The hazardous metabolite acetamiprid IM-2-1 was identified in plant tissues. However, proteomic analysis indicated a very low risk of acetamiprid for O. bicornis. This result is in agreement with the fact that acetamiprid has been assessed by EFSA to be a low risk for bees and is registered in the EU until 28 February 2033.

The Former Military District Libavá: the Establishment of the New Municipal Political System
Václavíková, Michaela ; Jüptner, Petr (advisor) ; Čopík, Jan (referee)
This thesis focuses on optimization of military estates in the Czech Republic that is connected both to establishment of new municipalities and transition from military administration to local administration. The thesis tries to describe the process itself being finished by setting settlement units aside from military estates, reduction of their borders and dissolution of the Brdy military estate. A case study of the Libavá Town is also a part of the thesis. The study is trying to monitor the impact of the transition mentioned above on civil population and on the newly established local administration. Three methods were used to collect the data - namely half structured interviews with chief participants, a survey amongst Libavá inhabitants and media monitoring. A part of the theoretical part is also an analysis of military estates in Europe whose characteristics and differences are also presented.
A patient with a mental disability on a standard hospital ward.
VÁCLAVÍKOVÁ, Monika
This bachelor thesis deals with specifics of nursing care of patient with mental disability on a standard hospital ward. The thesis is divided into theoretical part where the basic information about mental disability are described including nursing care. The analytical part is aimed on experiences and knowledge of nurses who are caring of this patients and the other aspects which influence nursing care. The aim of the bachelor thesis is find out possible problems which occur during the hospitalization. Qualitative research using semi-structured interviews was selected for the analytical part. It was supplemented by direct, hide, participant observation. Ten nurses working at different standard wards in different hospitals were intentionaly selected for the research. The given interviews were processed by the open coding technique using pencil and paper. 7 categories and some subcategories were created and were further elaborated according to their specialization. Observation was performed on the Internal Department in one South Bohemian hospital. Seven nurses were observed. The analysis of observation was made by describing the individual record sheets and the situations and their comparison. The research shows that nursing care of patients with mental disability is difficult and have to be individualized. The most common problems in these patients are impaired adaptability, self-care deficit, disturbed verbal communication, incontinence, the risk of a violence and impaired social interactions. Nurses encounter all degrees of mental disability. The grade of mental disability is one of the aspects that greatly affects nursing care. Quality communication and sufficient patient information are essential for proper nursing care. The results of this bachelor thesis could be used for nurses or nursing students. The results can serve as an information material for anyone who wants to learn more about mentally handicapped patients.
