Design and experimental verification of MESH type radio network for non-licensed bands
Váňa, Martin ; Mlýnek, Petr (referee) ; Fujdiak, Radek (advisor)
This thesis is focused on problematic of designing a MESH network with use of IQRF technology. Basic techniques in radio transmission are presented in the introduction part, followed by technologies used in the radio environment. The second chapter presents IQRF, its base parameters and devices which can be used in its network, including cloud. The third part deals with the designing of topology and the methodology of the experimental verification. The last chapter stresses the measurement of parameters of IQRF network in various conditions and arrangements.
Cyber-environment for systems of ICS/SCADA type
Váňa, Martin ; Blažek, Petr (referee) ; Fujdiak, Radek (advisor)
The thesis explores the problematics of cyber environment for the ICS/SCADA systems. First, shorter section is mainly focused on general introduction into the ICS/SCADA systems and their inner workings. Communication model of a general SCADA system and its foundational elements are explained. It is mainly theoretical passage and it serves as an introduction. It is necessary for understanding the second part which is mainly practical. The appropriate system is chosen as a first thing in the practical part of the thesis for the implementation of the whole project. There are defined criteria on which the system itself is implemented. Following that the system itself is implemented under a framework called openMUC and it is tested with help of the simulators according to the objective of the thesis.
Social services and the role of non-governmental organizations in social security
Váňa, Marek ; Koldinská, Kristina (advisor) ; Hůrka, Petr (referee)
Social services are an important part of the system of social assistance. The object of social services is to help citizens in unfavourable social situations regarding their health, age, handicap or other serious grounds, if they can not solve their situation themselves. The services aim to maintain the highest possible quality and dignity for their clients. Social services provide meals, accommodation, assistance with bridging unfavourable social situations, care for people with a limited ability in the area of personal and home care, assistance with bringing up a children and also social counselling. The providing of social services was regulated by the social services act number 108/2006 Sb. This act shows actual trends that are similar in the whole Europe and brings a new approach to social services. Organization and control over this area of work belongs to the ministry of labour and social affairs in cooperation with regions and municipalities. This thesis focuses on the position of providers of social services after the adoption of the above social services act. The social services can be provided by for example organizations created by regional or local authorities, organisations such as citizen association, churches and citizens. The social services act put emphasis on the quality of social...
A model of resonant collisions of electrons with molecules and molecular ions
Váňa, Martin ; Houfek, Karel (advisor) ; Cejnar, Pavel (referee) ; Mašín, Zdeněk (referee)
A two-dimensional model of the resonant electron-molecule collision processes with one nuclear and one electronic degree of freedom introduced by Houfek, Rescigno and McCurdy [Phys. Rev. A 73, 032721 (2006)] and a similar two- dimensional model of the dissociative recombination with potential proposed by Hamilton [Ph.D. thesis, University of Colorado, (2003)] are formulated within the time-dependent framework and solved numerically using the finite-element method with the discrete variable representation basis, the exterior complex scaling method and the generalized Crank-Nicolson method. On the model of electron-molecule collisions we illustrate how the time-dependent calculations can provide a deep insight into the origin of oscillatory structures in the vibrational excitation cross sections if one evaluates the cross sections not only at sufficiently large time to obtain the final cross sections, but rather at several characteristic times which are given by the evolution of the system. With use of the time- dependent calculations we demonstrate the complex nature of the dissociative recombination model dynamics and we propose the interpretation of the recom- bination process mechanism. We also propose few techniques for the explanation of the sharp structures in the dissociative recombination cross sections...
Časově závislé řešení dvourozměrných rozptylových problémů v kvantové mechanice
Váňa, Martin ; Houfek, Karel (advisor) ; Čížek, Martin (referee)
The scope of this thesis is in the time-dependent formulation of the two dimensional model of resonant electron-diatomic molecule collisions in the range of low energies. In its time independent form the model was previously numerically solved without the Born-Oppenheimer approximation with use of modern tools such as the finite element method with discrete variable representation (FEM-DVR) or exterior complex scaling (ECS). Within the scope of this model we numerically solve the evolution problem, with use of the Crank-Nicolson method and the Padé approximation. Later we evaluate the cross section of the elastic and some inelastic processes with the correlation function approach. At last we make a comparison of the evolution and the cross sections to time dependent formulation of the local complex potential approximation of the electron-molecule collisions.
Representation of History in Videogames
Váňa, Martin ; Činátl, Kamil (advisor) ; Pýcha, Čeněk (referee)
In my thesis I focus on analysing the representations and images in historical digital games. I base my thesis upon methods and works from the game studies field. Those texts research games based on principles of mechanics and rules, narrative, aesthetics, and simulation. All those aspects of games come under my analysis of chosen set of digital games. I connect this methodology with theory of history, which focuses on means of historical representation and ways of construction of the historical image, just as it notes role of historians and history in nowadays society. Further I build upon work of Jean Beadrillard on simulation and simulacra, who takes on the topic of production of images in our culture. I confront my analysis with work of Adam Chapman Digital Games as History, which offers me not only a basic terminology but also serves me as an inspiration for comparison of the games' images with the historians' epistemology. My thesis results in comparison and attempted junction of the methods of game studies with those of historiography on the material of digital games. Apart from deeper analysis of selected games I come to more general conclusions, which could in my opinion, add to further analysis of the past and its digital representations, just as they could help to think through the role...
Design And Experimental Verification Of Mesh Type Radio Network For Nonlicensed Band
Váňa, Martin
With growing penetration of Internet, people are trying to find new ways of how to use it for better comfort of themselves. One of the new ways of using the Internet are IoT technologies, which are connecting our cars, our houses and our cities. This paper focuses on designing and experimental verification of such IoT, wireless, MESH technology. There are many solutions on the market for this purpose, but this paper is focused on IQRF technology. It elaborates theoretical basis for IQRF and simple design of topology. The main output is to have the topology tested in real life conditions and to verify the theoretical data plus make first evaluation of the possibilities of IQRF.
ACTRIS IMP – participation of the Czech republic in the national research infrastructures and ACTRIS Central facilities.
Ondráček, Jakub ; Váňa, M. ; Klánová, J. ; Holoubek, Ivan ; Ždímal, Vladimír
ACTRIS (The Aerosol, Clouds and Trace Gases Research Infrastructure) is pan-european research infrastructure, having the main goals in provision of high quality scientific data and provision of information about short-lived atmospheric components and processes leading to changes in these components in natural and controlled laboratory environment. ACTRIS is a logical continuation of 15-years development of large research infrastructures being funded by member states and European Commission through the Research Infrastructure Programme (including e.g. EARLINET, EUSAAR, CREATE and CLOUDNET).
