Calculation of pressure losses of flue gas ducts using mathematical modeling

This diploma thesis deals with the calculation of pressure losses in the flue gas ducts. First part of this work describes properties of flue gas and flow dynamics. Part of the theoretical analysis was detailed study of pipeline elements with emphasis on the reasons for the existence of pressure loss in the flow, calculations of the resistance coefficients and possible methods of reducing the losses. In the practical part, a model of the pressure loss calculation of the existing flue gas line installed in the incineration plant was created. At the end of the thesis a proposal for optimization of this route was made with emphasis on the reduction of the overall pressure loss. By optimization the pressure drop of the specified route was reduced from 3581 Pa to 2647 Pa, i.e by 26% and the required power input of the fan was reduced from 225 kW to 166,5 kW.

Non-conventional sintering of advanced ceramic materials

This bachelors thesis deals with non-conventional sintering methods of advanced ceramic powders. The theoretical research on the topic of sintering and ceramics materials was done in the first part of this work. The end of theoretical section is devoted to the non-conventiolan sintering methods of ceramic powders. Experiments of sintering ceramic powders (cubic ZrO2 doped by 3mol% Y2O3) enhanced by electromagnetic field were made in practical part of this work. Specifically the method of Flash sintering was used. Results confirmed that it is possible to use Flash sintering method for making advanced ceramics. The material made by this technique had relative density of 95,9% and grain size of 0,22m.

Robotic Soccer

This work describes a design of an agent model for robotic soccer based on the DEVS formalism. There is also presented a design of own DEVS simulator (based on classic DEVS simulator) for parallel realtime simulations. Functionality of the simulator and the model is shown on an example of a soccer client for RoboCup Soccer Server. Based on this client, there is also presented a design of a library for easier creation of soccer clients for RoboCup.

Diagnostika převodovky traktoru CASE IH

This diploma thesis focuses on serial and parallel diagnostics of a continously variable transmission used in a Case IH Puma 225 CVX tractor. The theoretical part describes the history of the use of gearboxes, their importance and possible variants of design solutions. It also focuses on the continously variable type of gearbox and describes in detail its parts, functions and applications. The practical part of the work is focused on diagnostics and repair of a specific gearbox in a tractor, which is used to provide services in agriculture. The course of the manifestation of the fault, subsequent diagnostics and repairs in the authorized service of Agri CS in Přeštice is described. Finally, the possible causes of the failure are summarized with a prognosis of further development.

The bachelor thesis focuses on theoretical but also practical comparison of combine harvesters with different types of threshing and separating equipment and their historical development. The theoretical part describes the individual parts of these agricultural machines and mentions various possibilities of their implementation. The practical part is focused on the objective examination of the main parameters characterizing the performance and quality of the threshing machine and their comparison among the main competitors of today's supply. The selected technologies are tangential (conventional) and axial (unconventional) threshing and separation mechanisms.

Conditions of dolomitization at selected localities of the Barrandian

Research on dolomitic limestones and dolomites from selected localities of the Barrandian, stratigraphically related to the Scyphocrinites Horizon near the Silurian-Devonian boundary, showed the occurrence of two distinct types of dolomite - diagenetic and epigenetic - differing in petrography and genesis. The diagenetic dolomite is quantitatively predominant. It is finely to moderately coarsely grained with crystal size from 20 μm to 450 μm. Crystals of this dolomite form mostly xenotopic and hypidiotopic textures (occasionally even idiotopic). This type of dolomite formed at low temperature and depth by recrystallization of a carbonate mud during early diagenesis, or during subsequent deeper burial. It is also possible that it originated from recrystallization of previously formed syngenetic dolomite. Fine texture of the diagenetic dolomite is a proof of fast dolomitization and of formation of numerous crystallization centers. Very fine-grained variant of dolomite was also detected (forming aphanotopic texture, size of crystals below 0,002 mm). The epigenetic dolomite, also known as baroque or saddle dolomite, is less common than the former one. It forms white, milky-turbid or clear crystals of large dimensions (0.8 - 3.1 mm).
