Ekl, Tomáš ; Bunc, Václav (advisor) ; Strejcová, Barbora (referee)
Title: Jogging like a tool for influencing of fitness and body mass in men Objectives: The main objective of this work is to propose two exercise programs. The first one focuses on the application of jogging as a means of weight reduction in overweight people. The second one aims to increase the fitness of healthy individual. At the same time the aim is to map an available information from native and foreign literature on physical activity like jogging, which can have a positive effect on individual fitness, as well as applicable method for weight reduction. Methods: The method used was to research the available literature and internet sources. Publications, which deal with jogging, health related fitness and weight reduction, were analyzed. Results: Results of this work confirmed that that physical activity in the form of jogging has a significant positive effect on the formation and maintenance of physical and mental fitness as well as applicable method for weight reduction. Keywords: jogging, health-related fitness, weight reduction

Hannsmannová, Lenka ; Bunc, Václav (advisor) ; Strejcová, Barbora (referee)
Title: Girls physical activity on the second step of comprehensive school. Author's name: Lenka Hannsmannová Supervisor: Prof. Ing. Václav Bunc, CSc. Objectives: To measure physical activity of girl on secondary step of comprehensive school and to compare results with recommendations, to detect their physical and sport preferences via questionnaire and adjust School Education Plan accordingly, to obtain quantitative data from pedometer and qualitative data from questionnaire. Methods: Girls physical activity was measured by pedometer Omron. Obtained data was downloaded to PC and further processed with Omron Health Management Software. The questionnaire was created to detect girls' physical and sport preferences. Results: By pedometer physical activity monitoring was total amount of steps obtained for individual classes, average amount of steps for each girl, girls classification according to daily average amount of steps, total aerobic walking time, daily aerobic activity average time and these results were compared with health recommendations. The ratio of sporting and non-sporting girls outside school was obtained, estimated daily time of sporting activity in minutes, frequency of admitted sport and other activities, the preferences for school physical activities and lessons and which possible...
Physiological response and physical activity during climbing wall in school age children
Kalábová, Monika ; Panáčková, Michaela (advisor) ; Strejcová, Barbora (referee)
Title of master thesis Physiological response and physical activity during climbing wall in school age children Work objectives Determinaton of specific oxygen uptake during climbing in the climbing wall in children. Methods The study involved 10 boys and 9 girls. Their climbing ability was in range 4 to 5+ degree of UIAA (Union Internationale des Associations d'Alpinisme). Maximal oxygen consumption was measured on climbing wall. The climbers climbed two routes, the first vertical profile (90ř) and second overhanging profile (110˚). The participants climbed the wall with a self-selected speed. They climbed the route twice to steady state of physiological response during climbing and to simulate real average wall (15 m). To make conditions equal, everybody had 30 s to get down and start climbing again. Results The girls achieved average of specific oxygen consumption VO2peak 37,1 ± 4,8 ml·kg- 1 ·min-1 in the vertical profile and in the overhanging profile was 40,6 ± 11,5 ml·kg- 1 ·min-1 . The boys achieved slightly higher average of specific oxygen consumption in both profile 39,1 ± 4,8 ml·kg-1 ·min-1 in the vertical profile and 42,1 ± 2,6 ml·kg-1 ·min-1 in the overhanging profile. The girls had average peak heart rate 179 ± 10 beats·min-1 in the vertical profile and boys 170 ± 14 beats·min-1 ....
Effects of dance sport in the musculoskeletal system of the individual
Křivohlávek, Jakub ; Bunc, Václav (advisor) ; Strejcová, Barbora (referee)
Title: Effects of dance sport in the musculoskeletal system of the individual Objectives: The goal is to musculoskeletal examination of selected individuals and evaluation the effect of dance sport on examined status. The results should be the basis for further research in this area. Methods: Kinesiology analysis, bioimpedance analysis and X-ray were used for scrutiny of the musculoskeletal system. Primary and secondary data were analyzed afterwards. Results: Findings of struktural deformities: flat feet (both), both sided hallux valgus with incipient degenerative changes of I. MTP joint (male), limit angle of I. MTP joint of left leg (female). These deviations are related to the using of dance shoes. Muscle imbalance upper thoracic region and lateral imbalance of tested people are the result of the prescribed holding and leading used in dance. Keywords: dance sport, musculoskeletal system, muscle imbalances, feet deformities
Regime measures to affect overweight and obesity of elementary school children
Brožík, Marek ; Bunc, Václav (advisor) ; Strejcová, Barbora (referee)
Title: Regime measures to affect overweight and obesity of elementary school children Goals: The main goal of this work is a formation of excersise program for elementary school children who have the diagnosis of overweight and obesity. The goal of this work is also to chart available information about children obesity and its treatment by physical activity. The information is from native and foreign literature which is obtained from scholarly publications or articles accessed from the internet databases. Methods: We have analyzed scholarly publications and compared opinions of authorities who deal with treatment of overweight and obesity by physical activity. Results: We have found out that physical activity has essential influence on health and body weight of and individual. It is very important so that physical activity becomes part of everyday regim of children. The execise program for one week is made for children, their parents and teachers. It should be a guideline for correct reduction of children weight. Key words: obesity in children, physical activity, exercise program, elementary school children, weight.

The effect of alcohol drinking on the isokinetic knee strength
Vopat, Jan ; Strejcová, Barbora (advisor) ; Dvořák, Martin (referee)
Title: The effect of alcohol drinking on the isokinetic knee strength Objectives: The objective of this thesis is to assess the effect of alcohol on isokinetic knee strength during extension and flexion. Methods: Fifteen volunteers participated in this study. Their age was 23,9 ± 1,9 years, height 179,5 ± 7,2cm and weight 78,5 ± 7,95kg. They were all students from sports faculty. One group of volunteers was given alcohol with juice (0,8g of alcohol to 1kg of fat-free mass), the second group drank only juice. We used the switch design study. We measured isokinetic knee strenght on dynamometer Cybex Humac Norm (Cybex NORM ®, Humac, CA, USA) in three types of angular velocity (6Oř/s, 180ř/s, 240ř/s). The parametrs were peak torque, muscular work, average muscular power and time to peak. Results: We registered statistically significant increase of peak torque, muscular work and average muscular powers when measuring flexion in all the three angular velocities (60ř/s, 180ř/s, 240ř/s). We did not register statistically or effect size significant diference readings of time needed for maximal peak torque when measuring flexion and extension. The only exception was angular speed 240ř/s where we registered a factually significant change in time needed for extensors to reach the maximal peak torque....
