Development of educational inequality in the Czech Republic in mobility perspective – stagnation or dynamics?
Simonová, Natalie
This paper shows, with the aid of mobility analysis, how education reproduction evolved in the Czech lands from the pre-socialist period to the end of socialism. Analysis gives detailed insight into the processes that before 1948 and between 1948 and 1989 are concealed behind the observed stability of relative chances. The paper addresses the questions of when, whether, and to what extent the Czech education system became more dynamic and open, and when it stabilised or became closed.

Simonová, Natalie

The mobility point of view with the help of log-linear modelling led to identify specific local structural contexts, i.e. in what way Czech education mobility system (pre-socialist and socialist) evolved.
