Impacts of Tourism on Residents; Case Study Lipno nad Vltavou Abstract: Lipno nad Vltavou is currently becoming one of the largest and best equipped tourist resorts not only in South Bohemia but also throughout the Czechia. The objective of the bachelor thesis is especially to analyze the impact of tourism on residents of monitored community and transcribe the present phenomenon of strong development of tourism in the monitored area. Own practical part of the presented bachelor thesis is dealt with characteristics of the monitored area from the perspective of history, location, infrastructure and demography, at the end are evaluated the results obtained mainly through own questionnaire survey. key words: impacts of tourism on residents, Lipno nad Vltavou, tourism

This thesis deals about tourism and impacts of tourism on the geographic environment. The main purpose is detection of impacts of tourism character, their concentration and intensity in protected area. In this research, author chose the region of the Křivoklatsko protected landscape area. Other aspect this thesis is detection of attandance evolution in confrontation with the proposed Křivoklátsko national park.

The Iron Curtain and Its Heritage in the Context of Transformations of the Borderland of Czechia in the Second Half of the 20th Century This bachelor thesis deals with the Iron Curtain and its heritage, which is related how the Iron Curtain is commemorated to us today, and how we can look at the history of the Czech borderland affected by this former barrier. The thesis first introduced the phenomenon of the Iron Curtain and the problem of defining the borders. Then there is the form of discussion with the literature discussed how the Czech borderland changed by the Iron Curtain and its subsequent fall, and what was in this context of the research. It is discussed what is heritage of the Iron Curtain, and its possible use. Own research here is established at first, which is the comments of the Iron Curtain today, and what we can say these comments. Another part of the thesis is focused about the presentation the past of the Iron Curtain, and what people, visitors to the Museum of the Iron Curtain perceive about it. Different types of interviews are detected another interesting finding information on the borderland and the influence of the Iron Curtain. The research suggests that the Iron Curtain is remembered while successfully, but it would not mind if it was remembered more, to never more repeat...
Regional Identity of the Bohemian Paradise

This thesis deals with the regional identity of the Bohemian Paradise. The main objective is to analyse identity of the region and regional consciousness of its inhabitants and to determine how they reflex the existence of the tourist region Bohemian Paradise. Thesis is also trying to determine to what extent the county border are barrier to the development of relations and cooperation between people and between institutions in the region. The first part gives an overview of theoretical background of studies of regional identity, identity of region and space polarisation. The second part analyzes the regional identity of the Bohemian Paradise in discussion of literature and other sources and trying to determine whether researchers and institutions think the Bohemian Paradise as peripheral region. The third part deals with analysis and interpretation of results of field research. Methodologically the thesis is based on the construction of mental maps, questionnaire inquiry and interviews.

The regionalization of Bohemian Paradise based on the analysis of symbols used for its promotion This bachelor thesis is devoted to the issue of regional identity. The area of interest of this thesis is the Bohemian Paradise region. The purpose of this thesis is to set a spatial and symbolic shape of Bohemian Paradise as based on promotional materials from information centres. First objective is to spatially define Bohemian Paradise - define its borders. Second objective is to discover, if a given promotion makes this region a homogeneous or a heterogeneous unit. Last objective is to identify symbols of Bohemian Paradise. As regards the structure of the thesis, the aim of the first introductory part is to introduce concepts and terms which are used in the second part of this thesis. The third part of thesis contains confrontation of results from this thesis with results of Michal Semian's thesis from 2010. This thesis is based on descriptive statistics as well as qualitative methods. The role of interpretation of local heritage in tourism: the example of Dolní Dvůr

Bachelor thesis is focused on the issue of interpretation of local heritage and the cooperation of local inhabitants in connection with the process of creating products and activities based on sustainable tourism. Individual segments of local heritage and territorial identity and their interaction with tourism are defined in the theoretical part. Key part deals with the interpretation of local heritage within the destination management of tourism in countryside. Goal of empiric part is to analyse interpretative infrastructure and promotion of studied location. Semi- structured interviews were subsequently used to determine the level of cooperation within individual actors of tourism as well as the state of sustainable tourism in Dolní Dvůr, village located in the Krkonoše Mountains. Main drawbacks blocking the development of region were then discovered and defined as non-functional cooperation, lack of human sources, not enough developed infrastructure of tourism and interpretation and finally, disinterest of local inhabitants in tourism at all. These weaknesses are discussed with literature and afterwards there are suggested posible solutions. Regions through time and space: Problem of regionalization

The thesis is rooted in the new regional geography paradigm that gained strength in geographical thought since the 1980s. This approach is characterized by emphasizing the socially constructed nature of regions; thus, regions are scrutinized as a historically contingent process. A region is formed, reproduced and eventually disappears in time. The thesis works with the assumption that a plurality of regions, that exists in changing time- space contexts of different mechanisms and meanings, can be experienced de facto in any particular area. In simpler terms, it can be understood as a plurality of regional images produced on the one side by regional actors to fulfil their particular goals and on the other regional images produced by inhabitants in and outside the region in order to understand the outside world and position themselves within it. Motivation for the production of images can vary, from a simple manifestation of one position in the regional system, through the attempt to attract attention towards the region to exploitation of the regional potential in order to fulfil particular power-oriented aims. The general idea of a region can be sought throughout the synthesis of the many regional images that can be understood as somewhat layers of a region. The thesis contributes to the discussion...
