Synthesis and evaluation of potential antimicrobial agents

Antibiotic resistance is a global problem and the development of new drugs, among other approaches, should contribute to mitigating the consequences. All newly prepared compounds are based on the 4,6-dimethylpyrimidine-2-amine, in some syntheses its derivative sulfamethazine was used as a starting compound. The starting molecule was chosen based on the antimicrobial activity of 4,6-dimethylpyrimidine-2-amine derivatives. The aim of three one-step syntheses was to prepare sulfonamides from 4,6-dimethylpyrimidine-2-amine and corresponding sulfonyl chlorides. Other ten also one-step reactions led to the preparation of Schiff bases, which are mostly based on salicylaldehyde and benzaldehyde derivatives. Different methods were used, yields ranged from 13 % to 48 % for sulfonamides and from 13 % to 96 % for Schiff bases. All thirteen compounds were tested for antibacterial (against selected G+ and G- strains) and antifungal activity using the microdilution broth method. In general, the compounds were ineffective against G- bacteria and, on the other hand, showed the greatest activity (i.e., lowest minimum inhibitory concentrations, MIC) against fungi. Dental caries prevention in children with cleft lip and palate

The study deals with the problematics of dental caries prevention in the children with cleft lip and palate. It structured in a three parts. In the theoretical one deals with a speciality of the stomatologic care of the patients with cleft and of the prevention of such diseases. In the following chapters it is spoken about the various possibilities of the caries prevention in the childhood. It informs us about the necessity of the preventive programs for the pre-school children, especially in the area of oral hygiene and healthy lifestyle. It also deals with the speciality of the dental caries in the 12years old children, who have the mixed denture, but the permanent teeth are usually already affected by the caries or treated by the filling. Therefore the World Health Organisation proposed the specific parameters for oral health of the 12years old in the Czech Republic. These should be complied till 2010. There were 38 children with 8 cleft lip and palate examined, who were born in 1994 or 1995. The research took place at the Clinic of the Plastic Surgery - University Hospital Kralovske Vinohrady, in the dentistry practice of Dr. Olga Jiroutova, who is a specialist in the orthodontic care of the cleft patients. The Use of 360-Degree Feedback

This thesis focuses on the topic of the 360-Degree Feedback with the emphasis on the application of this technique. In the theoretical part of the thesis is described the process of the 360-Degree Feedback with the accent on implementation of this tool to the company. The thesis also contains short description of the design of the 360- Degree Feedback questionnaire; and presentation how the data can be collected. Last but not least it is mentioned, how the final output of this method can be used. The application of the tool is described in the complexity of different personal activities and processes, with the combination of other personal tools (such as Assessment centers or Employee Surveys). The empirical part contains a description of the implementation of the 360- Degree Feedback into a personal and counseling company. The appropriate implementation is here taken like an important part of effective use of this tool. The data of the empirical study were collected by attempted observation.

Diploma thesis "Czechoslovak-French relations in the years 1918 - 1939" describe the phenomenon France in Czechoslovak foreign policy. Internal policy of the First Czechoslovak Republic was determined by foreign policy more than any other state. A key principle had become a focus on western democratic powers, especially France, which strive to maintain the status quo after the First World War.

The main aim of this work is description and analysis of women employed in management and other work areas with possibility to combine professional and family life. First theme described in my work is social and biological differences between men and women. In second chapter is my main topic carrier of women, their professional development and barriers of getting on higher professional posts. The other topics of this work are combining of professional and family life, special kinds of work load, which are compatible with family life, men strategies of dividing house chore s and care about children in family between men and women. In other parts of my work I focus on women on manager posts, techniques of management and leadership and strategies of achieving gender equality in organizations. Last but not least topic of this work is discrimination and sexual harassment and techniques of managing the stress. 5

Alarm calls are one of the essential components of antipredator behaviour in birds. In this study I recorded and analysed alarm responses of the barred warbler (Sylvia nisoria) to different mounts of avian predators and nonpredators. The information about danger is encoded through graded structure in its unspecific alarm call type.

An experimental study of the feature theory: Is an eye e key stimul?

The way, how birds discriminate and categorize their predators exactly, hasn't been known yet. More theoretic conceptions try to explain the mechanism of the categorization, one of them is the feature theory. The theory is based on that object is a compound of neutral and key features. We decided to examine this theory under labor conditions. We tested yellow expressive eyes of a predator, sparrowhawk, as a key stimul for recognition of predator by tits (Parus major). We used wooded dummies of the predator - sparrowhawk (Accipiter nisus) and a nonpredator - pigeon (Columba livia f. domesticus) and made chimeras between those two type that differed in eyes. Our results showed, that eyes really could be a key feature and it may works in a combination with other key stimuli.

The Evaluation of Indebtedness of municipalities in the Czech Republic

This work deals with the debt of municipalities. The debt of municipalities is in the Czech Republic regulated and also monitored. Monitoring of the municipal debt is carried out by the Ministry of Finance, which uses system of information and monitoring indicators (SIMU). Evaluation, criticism and modification of the SIMU is the main output of this work. A new modified SIMU was created according to the evaluation of this system, and then it has been tested on Kutná Hora. The debt is also considered from the perspective of the size of the municipalities. The hypothesis of an influence of the municipality size (the size category according to CNB) on the amount of the municipal debt per capita in the period 2006 to 2010 was verified by statistical method called ANOVA. At the same time it was confirmed in three surveyed periods that although the large municipalities have a greater total value of the debt, in per capita are more indebted smaller communities.

Analyse of the regional economic power based on financial situation of the local subjects

The aim of this bachelor work was to create the method for comparison of regions' financial situation with a view to municipalities, legal entities, entrepreneurs and non-profit organizations. The method can help to take a decision about company or person localisation. The subjects were studied from two points of view with help of several indicators, which were chosen on the basis of their ability to make a statement. The first view was static, the subjects were separately analyzed in two consecutive periods. The second view was dynamic, there were compared two periods and observed the changes of the indicators. The results of the method were a source for interpretation of more economic-balanced region and for estimation of possible regional development.
