Thriving (glourishingg) of supra-national corporation manager

A managerial role place great challenges on the individual from the perspective of self- management, primarily considering the challenges of that role and individual needs and values. This dissertation discusses the potential for maintaining well-being when performing in a managerial role in a supra-national corporation. The focus is primarily on the idea of flourishing (thriving) defined by the American psychologist Martin Seligman. Flourish fundamentally includes subjective, hedonic elements (experiences of joy), as well as, eudaemonic quality built on the individual but for the wider community. Flourishing is closely linked to the self-concept of the individual; its content is subjective in character. Employment in a supra-national environment includes characteristics which may reduce the quality of this for an individual. This, mainly, involves constant adapting to change, working in a turbulent environment, collaborations encountering cultural differences (national and organisational), working in a matrix structure and/or frequent emphases on hedonism or consumerism. Analysis of System of Development and Training of Employees in USS Košice, s.r.o .

The bachelor thesis is aimed to describe the system of development and education of employees in the company U.S.Steel, s. r. o., its weaknesses and to propose system rationalization and optimalization. The bachelor thesis is divided into two chapters -- theoretical and practical one. The theoretical part provides a complex insight onto various approaches for the human factor to be developed. The practical part provides quantitative and qualitative insight. All facts and data were acquired by interviews and discussions with the employees as well as by going through company' s documents and data.The outcomes of the analysis are listed in the analytical part along with proposals to be applied to the system of development and education within the company.
Creativity and innovation in self-awareness and self-management

This bachelor's work addresses the theme of self-awareness and self-management, their creative methods and implementation. The aim of this work is to represent and express the importance of knowing one's self and to show the important role of self-management in the every day life of people. Different practical tools and methods which can contribute to higher performance and success are described as well. The first part of this work contains theoretical knowledge about creativity and innovation, self-awareness and self-management and the assessment of effective goals; the emphasis is dedicated to one particular tool and method which could contribute to the improvement of people's performance and perfection. The practical part of this bachelor's work continues with working out the theoretical part and is founded on research which aims to confirm whether students in universities are concerned about self-awareness and self-management; and in the cases where they are, to which degree are they using these particular tools and methods. Following the results, an interpretation of the research is formulated in advantageous suggestions and recommendations.
