Pokorná, Gabriela ; Landová, Marcela (referee) ; Macháček, Mikuláš (advisor)
In my bachelor´s thesis I created a set of author´s stories and selected poems. I created a book titled 13 little gold flies and a set of promotional materials. However these materials should not promote the book superficially, but they're aimed to adress potentional readers, who will only find the core of the project - author's book - if they decide to react.

Beginnings of Holy Mountain as a Place of Pilgrimage
Pokorná, Gabriela ; Dvořáková, Markéta (advisor) ; Dvořáková, Michaela (referee)
This thesis attends to the Holy Mountain - a place of pilgrimage, mainly to its origins. We can observe the process of an ordinary and uninteresting place becoming the most well- known place of pilgrimage consecrated to the Virgin Mary in Bohemia. At first we go in for general overview of places of pilgrimage that will help us become more familiar with this broad issue, we mention e.g. locations of places of pilgrimage and pilgrims' motivation. Later we focus on the Holy Mountain. We follow its becoming a famous place of pilgrimage in the first centuries of its existence. We allude to miracles that took place here as well as important personages who had crucial influence on development of this place of pilgrimage. We are concerned with first pilgrims coming here, their motives and by the same token we aim at gradual rebuilding of the chapel and later construction work that led to a formation of a beautiful and monumental complex of buildings. Lastly we briefly go through the 20th century approach towards places of pilgrimage and the literary approach towards them in the last decades.
Cultural and Historical Works of Alois Jirásek
Pokorná, Gabriela ; Vaněk, Václav (referee)
The purpose of this rigorous thesis is to present Alois Jirásek as an author of popular texts, both educative and tendentious, published in contemporary periodicals or reprinted in his collected works as the case may be; and thus adjust his conventional picture as a writer exclusively of fiction. Jirásek's writings on historical and cultural topics, having largely been on the margins of scholarly focus (as secondary literature appears to refer to them on very few occasions), shall be stratified and characterized here, as well as contrasted and compared with the works of other selected authors. The work attempts to reflect their merits educative and instructive, and - assembling all the fundamental information - aims to serve as the basis for further research and outline its possibilities. Key Words Alois Jirásek, Cultural history, Cultural and historical works

Non-Standard Czech in Prosaic Works by Petra Soukupová
Pokorná, Gabriela ; Mareš, Petr (advisor) ; Synková, Pavlína (referee)
The aim of the thesis is to describe non-standard literary devices and their functions in some of Petra Soukupova's prose. On this basis, we will try to define the author's style. The thesis is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. The theoretical part introduces the artist, her work and position in current Czech literary output. Other chapters are devoted to the stratification and differentiation of Czech language and the examples of colloquial literary devices in literature. This is followed by the practical part - linguistic analysis of selected novels (K moři, Zmizet, Marta v roce vetřelce), which will be the base for the conclusion where all the existing information will be summarized and important findings on the author's style drawn.
