Architecture of socially excluded - Higher security prison in Brno

The master's thesis was worked out as the arhitectural study high security prison in Brno based on the submission. High security prison for 350 prisoners responds to the needs and trends of the modern jail. The new facility is based on the principle of space saving typological solutions with minimal attendance distance. The concept is divided into two main accommodation horseshoe-shaped objects that are associated with building, that are connected operating and administrative functions. Single floor for accommodation with two housing units, which include walking terraces. Terraces are sheathed with net freely crossing the connecting object and comprehensive area of all objects. It fulfills the function of the second security. In the middle of the complex there is a sports area. Production hall with facilities closed the back of a solid fence of area. By creating a compact self-functioning complex is achieved simplicity and closeness of the prison with economic use of the land.

Diploma thesis deals with the completion of the urban fabric in Brno in the area bounded by streets Cejl, Koliště, Křenová a Vlhká. The location is very close to the historical center of the city , but only for the original walls. This site was created as a suburb outside the walls , which was unlike any other inner city type structures with smaller houses with courtyards and gardens. In the 19th century this area avoid the great industrial boom and there were factories built Jewish industrialists. Also this way since the mid-19th century through the railway . After the war in 1945, factories were combined into complex textile manufacturing Mosilana . Development of this area is very mixed , different mass proportions and functional use and is not as good as it close to the historic cores could be . With the considered plan to move the main train station in the displaced position established in this study . This study proposes the redevelopment and extension of the site . Below we deal with historical context , spatial , functional and traffic analyzes and proposals that I worked for two semesters . Also in this study, I deal in detail southern part of the area where I was during one semester proposed two corner houses at the intersection of Křenová and Koliště street. In the last semester, I examined a draft of the Museum of Jewish Culture in Skořepka.

The target was to make a missing corner with a import. Buildings on the bunding have a same high. So I decided to keep it. My building is so high as a hotel Austerlitz. The building of students center isn´t in contrast with other buildings. It respect and complement current estate. It is building of quality students cheep living. Grey color of facade is similar as grey sheeting on the hotel. Yellow is a color of young, modern, creative residents of this Students center

1 Criminological aspects of organised crime Abstract Organised crime is a serious issue affecting global society. Its influence globally destabilizes order and safety. In this thesis I provide a basic overview of the subject of organised crime and attempt to give a general insight into the main aspects of this phenomenon. Criminological aspects are introduced in the context of conceptualization, typologization and history of organised crime. Legal aspects are also given attention, with attempts to summarize most important legal tools in fighting organised crime. I have also attempted to provide a critique of current legislative measures with predictions about new challenges in controlling organised crime. First chapter focuses on introducing the phenomenon of organised crime. Various definitions of organised crime are explored and compared against one another. Further analysis of individual traits associated with the phenomenon follows. Last part of the chapter is devoted to exploring various criminal activities of organised crime. Second chapter focuses on typologies of criminal organisations. Four typologies are explored in total. First comes the summarization of a terminology by two Czech authors, Scheinost and Musil. Critical issues in English language teacher education regarding lesson planning and classroom management

This thesis is part of a GAJU team project focusing on critical points in the preparation of foreign language teachers. Its main aim is to highlight critical points in the undergraduate preparation of foreign language teacher education students related to lesson planning and classroom management. In the theoretical part, the thesis addresses the topics of teacher requirements and stages of teacher preparation, classroom management and lesson planning. In the practical part, the author conducts a questionnaire survey with master's students in the subject areas and novice foreign language teachers to map critical points in lesson preparation and its implementation in practice. Then she conducts follow-up interviews with selected respondents on the themes emerging from the questionnaire results.
The Influence of English Gothic and Victorian novel on the Contemporary Children's Literature

The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to present the work of the American author of contemporary children´s literature Maryrose Wood, who in her contemporary work for child readers deals with the connection of the English tradition of Gothic and Victorian novel and contemporary children´s literature. The first chapter will focus on introducing the author and in the next chapter will attempt a characterization of English Gothic novel, its themes, main characteristic and motifs and its connection in the context of Victorian tradition. Using comparative analysis on the novel Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte and stories from the series The Incorrigible Children of Ashton Place (Maryrose Wood, 2010-2018) the thesis will focus on motifs of Gothic literature and their transformation in contemporary children´s prose. The thesis will include a chapter dedicated to space and environment of Gothic novel and its transformation in contemporary children´s prose.

Progressive forms of the verb have in present-day spoken British English

This bachelor's thesis focuses on the progressive forms of the verb ​have and their function in present-day spoken British English. The theoretical part deals with the grammatical description of the verb ​have and of the progressive aspect including their functions and frequency of use. The practical part takes form of a corpus study exploring mainly semantic aspects of the particular instances of use in connection with the grammatical ones. The spoken component of the British National Corpus 2014 version was used to retrieve 100 results, which were analysed with regard to the theoretical part of the thesis. The focus of the analysis is on the dynamic and stative use of the verb ​have​, its semantic function, tense form, time reference, negation, intentional modality, and the links between these aspects. Physical Self-concept of musical dancers

Title: Physical Self-perception of musical dancers Objectives: The main aim of the diploma thesis is to find out whether there are any gender differences in the physical self-concept of musical dancers. Methods: The thesis has a character of empirical and theoretical research and includes elements of quantitative research with an application of a survey. Specifically the thesis represents a cross-sectional study. A multidimensional questionnaire, the Physical self-perception profile was administered to a sample of N=40 musical dancers. The questionnaire consists of five subdomains including: sport competence, physical condition, physical attractiveness, physical strength and physical self-esteem. The t-test for two independent groups (men and women) was applied to test the group differences. Results: The results did not reveal any significant gender differences in physical self-concept between male and female musical dancers.
