Optimization of Electricity Costs during Construction

Diploma thesis deals with the problem of electric energy utilization during the construction realization. The theoretical part elaborates the topics of construction project management and fundamental methods of construction price determination. Moreover, it explains the topic of construction site equipment and describes the employment and the expensiveness of the electric energy on the construction site. The practical part of the diploma thesis shows confrontation of the theoretical background with practical use. A detailed description of the total costs of electric energy was calculated based on the study of model building. The main objective of the thesis was to characterize the influence of the electricity price variation on the total expense of the construction and proposes the optimization of the electric energy cost.
Evaluation of the costs of an investment apartment during the operational phase of its life cycle

This thesis evaluates the costs associated with owning an investment apartment unit during the operational phase of the life cycle. Its aim was to identify the individual costs that are related to the investment in the apartment unit and to determine their share in the total operating cost. The thesis examined each cost item and identified the costs it generates in turn. Subsequently, the information found was applied to a model investment property case, thereby cash flows could be compiled over a thirty-year evaluation period. The thesis concluded by comparing the identified costs with the services offered in the market that focus on investment property management.
Alterations music club, taking account of marketing requirements and their impact on the operation and its effectiveness

The goal of Bachelor’s thesis is application of knowledge from areas of construction management and economy into marketing and business planning of service. In the theoretic part of the thesis, there are specifications of basic marketing knowledge for creating of marketing plan and major differences of service marketing. Practical part is directed on selection of optimal focus for the club (and it’s appropriate dispositional solution) based on marketing research of public demand. Final part of the thesis deals with following suggestions of marketing plan, in correlation with club’s direction and vision.

Communication manual of engineering constructions in urban areas with the public

The objective of the communication manual is to analyze the initial situation in case of the statutory city of Brno and to present specific proposals on how to effectively communicate public construction investments of the city, with a focus on a participatory approach to public administration. The document can serve as a guide for the execution of certain parts of the municipal self-government agenda for the city of Brno at the level of the City Hall and municipal districts. Engineering projects are characterized by their relatively high financial burden on public budgets, the complexity of implementation, and the fact that they often remain invisible to citizens after completion. As a result, they become subjects of controversy. Well-conceived communication on these topics with citizens has the potential to increase the efficiency of public investments.
Communication when negotiating a construction contract

The main objective of the Diploma thesis is to create and analyze marketing researches and evaluate its possibilities of application in reality. There are marketing and communication basics, alongside with brief introduction to Baťa’s Zlin listed in the theoretical part. The practical part of the thesis is focused on defining the methodology of the marketing researches, including its analysis. Based on these information there is a conception created. The main reason to create this conception was rising amount of houses, which are being repaired regardless of its historical value and city regulation. This concept is therefore focused on creation of alternative plan on – how to preserve unique urbanistic character of functionalistic garden city of Zlin.
Assessment of the financial efficiency of the purchase of a family house in the territorial context

This thesis deals with the assessment of the financial efficiency of buying a family house in a territorial context. In the theoretical part, topics such as living standards, family finances and the possibilities of financing one's own home are discussed. The practical part evaluates a questionnaire that was sent to selected respondents. The questionnaire was chosen as the best way to learn about cash flow families. The next step is the analysis of financing options - mortgage loan and building savings. In the last chapter, 4 properties in different locations within commuting distance of Brno are selected and these properties financed by the selected method from the analysis.
Needs analysis of Generation Z in relation to the construction labour market

This bachelor's thesis deals with the analysis of the needs of generation Z in relation to the labor market in the construction industry. Currently, one of the biggest problems in the construction industry is the lack of labor on the market. This is largely due to the fact that the construction industry, by its very nature, does not have the opportunity to provide employees with other benefits like other industries (e.g. Home Office, etc.). The goal of the work is to find out what the Z generation's work preferences and requirements are, so that future employers can prepare for how the demands of the upcoming generations will change. And with the help of this knowledge, create a more favorable working environment and thus make work in the construction industry more attractive so that interest in working in this field increases.
Economic efficiency of public investment project

This bachelor thesis deals with the evaluation of the economic efficiency of a public investment project using cost-benefit analysis. The theoretical part explains the basic terms and the individual steps of the analysis, which are subsequently used in the next chapter of the thesis. The practical part deals with the evaluation of the reconstruction of a historic house in the town of Nové Hrady, where 4 housing units will be built. The last step of this thesis is processing the sensitivity analysis.
