Small regional breweries (South Bohemian Region).
POKORNÁ, Lenka
Brewing in the Czech Republic has a very long tradition and the Czech Republic rightly ranks among the world's most respected beer producers. In recent years, also due to the posi-tive economic situation and developed tourism, the popularity and the development of small craft breweries has been dynamically growing. Therefore, microbrewery is one of the most developing industries in the Czech Republic. This bachelor thesis focuses on small breweries in the South Bohemia, on their production and forms of distribution. The questionnaire survey in the practical part of this thesis focuses on obtaining basic information from the owners and head brewers about the management and production of breweries. Small breweries in the South Bohemia are presented individually. The second questionnaire survey focuses on the consumer's view and opinions regarding the production of small regional breweries, also in connection with tourism.

POKORNÁ, L. Prevalence of smoking among high school and university students. Hradec Králové 2010. Diploma thesis. Charles University in Prague. Faculty of Pharmacy. Department of Biological and Medical Sciences. Thesis advisor: RNDr. H. Klusoňová. Ph. D. Keywords: smoking, nicotine, prevalence, addiction, treatment According to World Health Organization more than 5 million people die every year due to the consequences of smoking. It is estimated that the tobacco epidemic will have as many as 1 billion victims in the 21st century. The aim of the thesis is to chart the prevalence of smoking among high school and university students and to determine the level of addiction among smoking students and the age of their first smoking experience. The research examination was made by using a questionnaire. The results prove the fact that the prevalence of smoking among young people is growing. The risk age of the beginning of the addiction is at the age between 14 and 15. Despite the fact that most respondents are convinced that their chance to get rid of the nicotine addiction is big, only a few of them stopped smoking. The finding that the respondents that stopped smoking and then relapsed did not seek medical advice is alarming as well. Nicotine addiction has a demonstrably negative effects on human...
Dopady změn sazeb DPH u potravin v zemích EU
Pokorná, Lenka
This diploma thesis is focused on examining the impacts of the distribution of the tax burden/benefit on the seller and the buyer in the changes of the VAT rates for foodstuffs in the countries of the European Union, between years 2010 and 2016. The main objective of the work is to set relative values of the tax incidence for consumers and producers in the individual EU countries, and then to deter-mine the general model of this distribution. For the solution, the tax impact meas-urement method was used at the time of the tax rate change using formulas. It was found that in the EU countries the average tax burden on the buyer was 66%. The buyer also receives an average tax benefit of 58% on average. This finding is beneficial for tax policy makers in their decision making.
Nursing procedures at complicated peritonitis
Pokorná, Lenka ; Kordulová, Pavla (advisor) ; Hocková, Jana (referee)
(v AJ) For my diploma thesis I chose Nursing care for patients with complicated peritonitis as a topic, because care for these patients must be complex and often requires long-term stay at the anesthesiology and resuscitation department. These patients require organ support, undergo repeated surgical revisions, and ultimately, if they overcome this critical period, they learn very often self- care, walking, and sometimes adapt to permanent changes in health. It is a disease where there are often sudden changes in the patient's condition. In the theoretical part I tried to describe the disease leading to the development of peritonitis and complications in the form of septic shock and multiorgan failure. In the National Medical Library, I have searched for a comprehensive review of literature since 2005. I searched for keywords and phrases: Peritonitis, Nursing Care, Sepsis, Multiorgan Failure, Circulatory Support, Artificial Pulmonary Ventilation, Continuous Function Replacement kidney care, laparotomy care, drainage care, intra-abdominal hypertension. I obtained other documents using the central search engine UKAŽ, I drew from licensed databases: Bibliographia medica Čechoslovaca, Ebsco, Medline, Pubmed. For the processing of nursing procedures I used the recommendations of professional societies:...
Gentrification and revitalization of inner city buildings in the city of České Budějovice with emphasis on the Krumlovské předměstí
POKORNÁ, Lenka
This bachelor's thesis deals with the process of revitalization and gentrification of the housing development in residential districts of the inner city of České Budějovice with an emphasis on Krumlovske predmesti. Even if the housing development of buildings in each district was slightly neglected, these days there is the gentrification in progress, thanks to it, old buildings are revitalizing (regenerating, reconstructing, rehabilitating). It was done fifty interviews with inhabitants living in these districts. On the basis of these interviews, there were then identified "gentrifiers". This means, people, who have middle-higher incomes, mainly young couples without children, who moved here from neigbourhood and from further rural neigbourhood. Analytic chapters evaluate identified facts about revitalisation of each building and then transfered into tables and displayed on maps. Each finding is then justified. Bachelor's thesis is part of the wider project, which is focused on next parts of the inner city of České Budějovice. It allowed the next comparison within each areas of the inner city.

TEMPERATURE INFLUENCE ON DESORPTION AND DETERMINATION OF BIOACCESSIBLE PAHS
Čvančarová, Monika ; Pokorná, Lenka ; Velebová, R. ; Najmanová, P. ; Cajthaml, Tomáš
Hydrophobic organic pollutants tend to adsorb onto soil particles which can cause a significant decrease in their bioaccessible fractions. Definition of the bioaccessibility is currently not unified; however it represents a part of total PAHs amount which is potentially available for biological processes. It is an important parameter which can be used for prediction of microbial degradation and environmental risk evaluation. This paper studies desorption behavior of PAHs at 20 and 60˚C. The desorption of PAHs from long-term contaminated soils was evaluated using resin Amberlite XAD- 2. A two-phase desorption model was used to calculate the desorption kinetic curves and F fractions which represent bioaccessible amount of PAHs. The results showed that the desorption of PAHs was significantly influenced by temperature. The greatest differences in the desorption behavior were observed at 5–6 ring PAHs. We compared the F fractions and the rate constants of individual PAHs which were determined at 20 and 60˚C. The results were also compared with sequential supercritical fluid extraction which has been already used for prediction of microbial degradation.
The effective tax rate of personal income tax in francophone countries
Pokorná, Lenka ; Vančurová, Alena (advisor) ; Bušovská, Monika (referee)
This work is focused on effective tax rates of the personal income tax from a microeconomic perspective. The work analyses francophone countries, namely Belgium, France, Canada, Luxembourg, Greece, Switzerland and also the Czech Republic. The first chapter defines elements of the personal income tax, social insurance contributions and the effective tax rate along with examples of its calculation. The second chapter describes the personal income tax and social insurance contributions in chosen countries and calculates the effective tax rate using collected information. The effective tax rate is calculated for six sample taxpayers with different levels of average wage. The final chapter compares, according to sample taxpayers, effective tax rates including only income tax or social security contributions payed by employees, and at the end the effective tax rate as a whole.
