Living with nature

The thesis deals with human’s relationships to the nature and vice versa and with architectural interventions’ influence on these relations. The intention of the whole work is to re-value consuming landscape use and human’s attitude to the landscape thanks to smaller objects that do not destroy, do not restrict and do not deform its surrounding but on the contrary they elevate genius loci, that they are affable seeing and affable to the nature environment and mainly strengthen relations between surrounding and their users. The work subjects and issues on my own experiences experienced in the countryside. That is why I consider necessary to point out to the beauty and uniqueness of mountain environment’s discomfort, that beside leads to strengthen our mental and physical health.

Parent's attitude to the school assessment

The thesis deals with the issue of parents' access to school assessment. The theoretical part is focused on basic concepts such as assessment, its form and function and the possibility of objectivity; further outlines the relationship between family and school, their cooperation and the importance of evaluation in the family and in the society. The focus of this thesis is qualitative research, whose goal was to reveal through semi-structured interviews how parents perceive the school evaluation at the primary school. Emphasis is placed on the importance and the meaning that parents attach to evaluation of what they represent the due date and how school evaluation affects their relationship with their children and the school. Based on the research, it was found that the attitude of parents towards evaluation is very ambivalent, driven mainly predominant social discourse, own image of a child and satisfaction with the school and teacher. Electronic communication between parents and teachers

Communication between parents and teachers is an important part of education. Increasingly, in addition to personal and telephone communication occurs an electronic communication, especially via email. This work focuses on the theoretical level the relationship of family and school, its historical development and current form and the relationship of parents to school and communication between parents and teachers. It also discusses the basic theoretical knowledge of electronic communications, especially e-mail as a mean of communication between parents and teachers. In the practical part follows empirical research on specific e-mail communication between teacher and parents at the school for children with learning disabilities. This investigation is focused primarily on the quantity and content page e-mail correspondence between the teacher and parents. It analyzes, how is the ability to email as a mean of contact used and which themes in this communication often occur.
Teacher versus modern technology in classroom - the cognitive study

The thesis deals with a teacher's attitude on modern technology during educational processes and what influences these technologies bring into educational processes. The aim of this thesis is to explore current school environments and also a teacher's judgement and relations to technologies. Inspiration for this thesis was the Edwin Hutchin's research (1995), who was exploring the working process on a U. S. Navy ship. This author concentrated on a human's cognition, which is distributed through the common activity among the members of crew and tools which are used. If the members of crew make mistakes by using tools or the conditions are not fulfilled for work with them then these tools could not be used correctly. The theoretical part focuses on defining professional pedagogical terms however afterwards it describes characters of teachers and their specifics. Eventually, it compares school institutions with the technological system. The practical part includes my qualitative research through observations and following interviews with high school teachers to find out their opinions on modern technologies.
