Digital libraries of Czech county libraries

This diploma thesis is devoted to digital libraries of Czech regional libraries. Based on the available sources of literature and the questionnaire survey, the individual digital libraries that are built and administered by regional libraries are presented. In the first chapters of the thesis there is a terminological overview, the process of digitization itself and the digitization workflow. This is followed by a description of the distribution of personal representation of individual positions in digital libraries as well as the standards of digital libraries. An important part of the thesis is devoted to the results of the questionnaire survey among individual regional libraries and the presentation of the results of this survey. Death penalty and the waiver of the right to life by committing an extremely serious crime

The aim of this thesis is to define, what is the position of right to life in the system of protection of human rights and whether is the death penalty a justifiable institute in international human rights law. The thesis focuses on the death penalty and its history in connection with the right to life as an inherent human right. It explores the conventions, protocols and resolutions that are related to the matter. The thesis is divided into seven chapters, whereas first of them is introduction, where the author asks questions about vindicability of the capital punishment. That is followed by a brief history of the death penalty and explanation of the purpose of the punishment. Following chapter looks into a view of international society on the death penalty, summing up views of international governmental organizations, as well as non- governmental. Fundamental part of the thesis is a chapter disserting on the right to life, its history, where we can find right to life in international law, interpretation of right to life and case law. Last chapter deals with an issue of a crime as an act of forfeiting the right to life. The analysis consists of criticizing the conclusions made in the course of the thesis and propositions of further possibilities.
The intervention of occupational therapy in patients with impaired hand function after surgery

This bachelor's thesis deals with the surgical treatment of patients with hand impaired function and subsequent intervention of occupational therapy, and the patients who underwent this treatment. Thesis is divided into two parts-theoretical and practical. The theoretical part describes the function of the hand and the possibilities for its disorders. Subsequently, thesis describes the principles of surgical treatment of various diseases and hand injuries that impair its function. Another part relates to intervention of occupational therapist in patients who underwent surgical treatment of hand. The practical part contains two casuistries, methodology and processed results and discussion. The first casuistry deals with patient with carpal tunnel syndrome solved by surgery. The second casuistry deals with a patient with finger's flexor injury on the left upper limp. During processing has been found that occupational therapy is integral to rehabilitation after hand surgery. Occupational therapy helps to improve the function of the hand grip and the coordination of movement and it is important for gaining the greatest possible self- sufficiency of patients after surgical treatment of hand. Personality of Zdenka Braunerová in Czech book design

This bachelor thesis focuses on the personality of Czech graphic artist Zdenka Braunerova. In four chapters captured first state Czech books in the 19th and 20th centuries, as well as the life of the painter, graphic overview of the artist's book from 1897 to 1932 and ultimately influence Zdenka Braunerova on the emergence of modern Czech book. The chapter dedicated book design is complemented by a picture attachment, which are examples of the artist's work.

Occurrence of LA-MRSA and CA-MRSA in a population at higher carriage risk Bacterial resistance is one of the most serious phenomenon of modern medicine. Staphylococcus aureus is one of the bacteria in which the incidence of antibiotic resistance is a serious complication in the effective treatment of infectious diseases. Typically, methicillin- resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) occurs in a hospital settings where infectious complications appear in hospitalized patients. Community strains can be distinguished from typical nosocomial strains, which affect young people without anamnestic link to health care facilities and have different genetic characteristics. In livestock, a third distinct group of MRSA has been identified and now represents an epidemiological risk to humans. Cases of colonization or infection caused by MRSA are frequently reported in people who work with animals, including veterinary personnel. The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of MRSA colonization among veterinary professionals. A total of 134 nasal swabs from healthy attendees of a veterinary conference held in Hradec Kralove in the Czech Republic were tested for presence of MRSA.
