This thesis called 'Socio-Pedagogical Assistance to Partially-Autonomous Patients and to Their Families" (as conducted at GARC Kladno, s.r.o.). aims to map the health and social situation of partially-autonomous patients (hereafter PAP) as a result of a chronic condition, a disability or geriatric conditions in the context of their actual living environment. The theoretical part deals with health and social challenges confronted by PAP focusing on social and individual rehabilitation in conducting daily life. It is divided into five parts. Part One describes health issues faced by PAP with emphasis on particular issues which affect this group. Part Two defines the basic terminology of disability and autonomy.Through work experience it was possible to provide first-hand observation of particular issues which affect this group, e.g. physical disability as a factor limiting autonomy. Both subjective and objective observations of this group can weigh heavily on the value of the outcome. Part Three places PAP in his environment and at the same time evaluates the role of the family members and various services available to PAP under the Social Services Act No. 108/2008 Coll. The role of probation and mediation at work with troubled youth

Graduation thesis called The role of probation and mediation at work with troubled youth ranges probation and mediation service into the system of methods whitch works with troubled youth. The first chapter describes the dilemma of social deviation in general and specifies possible causes of deliquency of young people. According to these causes the probation worker might decide for concrete model of work with client. Main part of the thesis is dedicated to Probation and Mediation Service of the Czech Republic as the covering organisation of probation and mediation. There is described history and roots of probation service, clients and probation workers specifics as well as practical modes of work with client. The thesis concernes laws linked to this topic, specificly Zákon o odpovědnosti mládeže za protiprávní činy a o soudnictví ve věcech mládeže (218/2003 Sb.) and Zákon o probační a mediační službě (257/2000 Sb.). The last part is focused on the supervision in helping professions concerning the Probation and Mediation Service. This chapter contains also draft of the supervisory system and further education of the probation workers.
Crisis intervention of children with child abuse and neglect syndrome

Graduation thesis called "Crisis Intervention of Children with Child Abuse and Neglect Syndrome" is purely theoretical. The first part offers a description of fundamental terms relating to the subject of Child Abuse and Neglect Syndrome, statistical data analysis, and a compendium of current legislation. The second part disserts on crisis intervention, especially on the specific form of help to abused and neglected children, and on institutional help. Last chapter presents Sanctuary for Children in Need in Prague, its activities and cooperation with other non-governmental or public organisations.
Supported employment and job placement of mentally affected persons

Theoretical part of my thesis deals with the problems connected with employment of persons with mild and moderate form of mental retardation, especially from the perspective of their psychical characters and specific education. The thesis describes the system of social services that are provided to mentally affected persons too. It contains legislative determinants of integration and determinants of labor market related to the employment of mentally affected persons. This thesis defines the term "supported employment" and describes its phases, it characterizes subsequent services and describes the situation in education of consultants, working in the field of supported employment, in the Czech Republic. The thesis presents one of the examples of good practice: The Agency of Supported Employment in Litoměřice. The aim of this master thesis is to analyze the influence of training the skills, which are necessary for work during the work experience of mentally affected persons, to their next employability on labor market. The experience of bullying among pupil of primary schools

The aim of this thesis is to focus from different perspectives on a very topical issue of bully at primary schools, which can have a really bad influence on the experience of pupils in the school for a lifetime. Furthermore, in an empirical investigation to explain how is the bully considered in the eyes of teachers and whether they are able to deal with it effectively. The theoretical part deals more specifically with bully at primary schools and from the definition of the term bully to its prevention. Describes the most common types of bullies, which may occur in this surround. Subsequently, pays our attention on the profiles of the main actors of this pathological phenomenon. Conclusion of the theoretical part is devoted to the right procedures of bully while its actors are being asked which is followed by a work of a school teacher with his class, aggressors and victims in order to prevent any repetition of the situation and to ovoid or minimize the potential consequences. The practical part contains the results of the survey which was undertaken in 2010 at primary schools in Pardubice. Non-profit organizations and their position in the Czech formal and informal Education

Topic of the diploma thesis is the position of nonprofit and contributory organizations in czech formal and informal education. The theoretical part describes the position of nonprofit organizations in formal and informal education. Attention is paid to definition of the terms non-profit and contributory organization, the concepts of formal and informal education and the laws regulating the action of non-profit and contributory organizations in the field of education in the Czech Republic. In the practical part, the qualitative survey is realized, focused on the position of nonprofit and contributory organizations in the field of formal and informal education from the perspective of their directors. The research based of semi- structured interviews with directors of the nonprofit organizations finds what positive an negative effects influences activities of the stated organizations in formal and informal education and how is the cooperation with state authorities. Among the most important findings is, that the nonprofit sector is fully established in both formal and informal education in the Czech Republic, the availibility of grants is good, although the administrative burden is very high. Social and pedagogical help to cictims of home violence

The thesis deals with social and pedagogical aspects of a home violence. The preface defines the basic terms related to the home violence issue and an attention is paid to the home violence actors. The following chapter deals with the meaning of prevention of the home violence, the emphasis being placed on the primary prevention. The thesis also outlines the possibilities of a legal protection and help to home violence victims from the point of view of legal standards. The core part of the thesis focuses on social and pedagogical help to home violence victims, where social and pedagogical aspects of the work with the home violence victims are defined. Attention is paid not only to the direct work with the home violence victims but also to other systems of help to actors of home violence. A meaning of the interdisciplinary cooperation is raised here in solving the home violence and activities of institutions providing help to home victims are described. The last chapter of the theoretical thesis offers an evaluation of the present system of help provided to the home violence victims in CR. The psychosocial climate in school facilities of institucional education from the perspective of social pedagogy

The dissertation is devoted to the present problem of the psychosocial climate in school facilities of instuticional care. The problem is being seen from the perspective of social pedagogy. In the introduction I deal with an accesion to unparented and unattended children in the course of human events. Further I consider characterization and description of system facilities of institucional care in the Czech Republic. The chapter about the actual problems of institucional care refers to some errors in the actual system. The basic aim of this thesis is to inscribe and demarcate the challenge phenomenon of psychosocial climate in relation to these facilities. The formation of positive psychosocial climate is one of basic premises of good pedagogical work with clients of facilities in the institucional education.
Social pedagogy support in the system of the postpenitentiary education of the youths

Delikvence dětí a mládeže je jev, který nelze vymýtit. Vždy se s ním budeme setkávat. Důležité však je, jak na něj budeme reagovat a co podnikneme pro to, aby se proviněný ze svého chování poučil a našel cestu, jak změnit příčiny, které k němu vedly. Tato práce popisuje hlavní činnosti vybraných subjektů vyvíjejících společnou aktivitu v péči o děti a mladistvé, kteří se dostali do konfliktu se zákonem. Každý subjekt plní specifické úkoly, ve kterých nemůže být zastoupen. Jsou také místa, kde se subjekty setkávají, spolupracují a někdy se jejich práce také překrývá. Tento problém je dobře znám. Prioritou je zjednodušení informačního systému, který by jednotlivé složky propojoval a zároveň byl přístupný odborné i laické veřejnosti.
The role of non-governmental organizations for Improving the quality of senior's life

This diploma thesis addresses the problematic aspects of seniors and non-governmental organizations, which take care of them. In its extensive theoretical part, it introduces the initial data, which are necessary for the work with seniors. It is primarily the area of evolution psychology, material needs, autonomy and social status of seniors in our country. The theoretical part is considered as a necessary foundation for any activities related to the help to seniors. The second part of this work deals with the concrete activities of non-governmental organizations in the Czech Republic and it partly provides an empirical sound, which investigates, how concretely public organizations help to improve their members - seniors' lives. Experience from the year's work in the mentioned public organization and knowledge gained by study led to create the author its own model of the respite care for seniors project, the goal of which is to develop simple and functional model, which meets seniors' needs and saturates their needs for live. The intention is to develop this model and continually improve it based upon the gained experience.
