Evaluation of turf sprinkle irrigation

Bachelor´s thesis is focused on evaluation of turf sprinkler irrigation. The aim of bachelor´s thesis is testing of used and new nozzles of the sprinkler TORO S850. The thesis contains method of testing nozzles and evaluation results. Measured values are compared and difference in distribution of irrigation water is determined.
Possibilities of stream restoration in urban environment

The thesis is focused on the options of stream restoration with its surroundings in a place of nature area „Na Loukách“ in town district „Mokrá Hora“. The thesis also describes current condition and development of the land use of focused area. There is junction of three creeks in the focused area. In part of this area there is not original depth of ground water surface due to adjustment of Rakovec creek. This thesis introduces three options of increasing depth of ground water surface. Evaluation of the current condition of creeks was performed by the HEM method. Hydraulic calculations were made in HEC-RAS program.
Feasibility study of lake restoration

Water course buffer zone in agricultural landscape

The bachelor thesis provides summary of comprehensive information concerning the importance and establishment of the buffer strips along watercourses in the agricultural landscape. The input section focuses on solving activities and analysis of Czech legislative instruments. The main part describes the important functions of the buffer strips, which are based on foreign studies. The proposal of using the buffer strips in our conditions were made on the base of obtained information at the end of this work.
Ponds and lakes of South Moravia ceased to exist

This bachelor work deals with the research of extinct water bodies of South Moravia from the oldest mapped history till today. It analyzes their origin, development during the time and their extinct, and the gained findings illustrates on selected water bodies. It analyses also the restoration possibilities of selected lakes and ponds.
Lakes of Holasky

Master´s thesis deals with the study of lakes locality called Holasecka jezera in southern part of Brno. The study gives complex evaluation of present condition of the locality and closely aims at Holasecka jezera restoration, including technical and environmentally friendly measures. Restoration and construction of new water management objects is designed together with creation of nature development zones and financial evaluation of designed measures.
Hydroecological monitoring and revitalisation of small water course

This diploma thesis describes the hydroecological monitoring of the small water course Stanůvka in the South Moravian Region. Hydroecological monitoring was carried out according to the recognized methodology of the Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic. In the thesis is suggested a revitalization of this water course. At the end of the thesis a comparison of the current state of the water course and the condition proposed by the revitalization is made and the contribution of this revitalization is evaluated.
Comparison of runoffs from conventional and green roofs

This thesis deals with the comparison of rainwater and its subsequent use. Especially, it compares the rainwater from the classical and green roofs. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part deals with roofs in general, it focuses mostly on green roofs and green roofs in Norway. It also deals with precipitation and the use of rainwater. In the second part there is a brief introduction of organization called „Open Garden“. Susequently, this art is focused on the analysis of samples and their subsequent coparison in the framework of classic and green roofs. The second part is also focused on the comparison of water quality during the time.
Study of river restoration measures of suburban watercourse

This diploma thesis deals with the problem of river restoration. Selected watercourse, which was inappropriately technically modified, had been mapped in detail and land use map was compiled. The watercourse was divided into sections, which were described in detail and assessed for suitability for restoration action. The new nature-friendly channel was designed on the selected section of the watercourse. Technical graphic documentation was designed.
International Organisation for Migration and African Union and their actions towards sustainable development in East Africa

This thesis focuses on the African Union (AU) and the International Organisation for Migration (IOM), analysing their respective roles in implementing sustainable development in East Africa from 2015 to 2020. The essential research questions investigate how international organisations influence the process of socialisation and the acceptance of norms related to climate change, migration, and sustainable development. Furthermore, this research uses concepts of social constructivism, such as the norm cycle and socialisation, and outlines the two organisations approaches to regional actors in East Africa. In this qualitative analysis, a case-study approach is adopted to help understand how different international organisations promote norms related to the same topics in the same region. To conduct the investigation, documents published by both international organisations are examined using critical discourse analysis. The results showed that the International Organisation for Migration draws attention to the positive contribution of migration to sustainable development and the living conditions of migrants. IOM focuses on a multi-stakeholder approach in its strategy. The study suggests that the African Union emphasises the role of states perceived as the main driving force and focuses on the local...
