Suspension footbridge across the Elbe River
Gregor, Petr ; Kocourek, Petr (referee) ; Stráský, Jiří (advisor)
The objective of this master´s thesis is a design of suspension footbridge across the Elbe river. The footbridge is suspended construction by three spans. The brick deck is supported on the outer edges and it is kept in a parabolic arc. The suspension cables are kept at two inclined levels. The model is implemented in the program ANSYS. The solution is non-linear. The designe is according to the europien standart.
Stress ribbon curved structure
Kocourek, Petr ; Stráský, Jiří (advisor)
The theme of this doctoral thesis is research of footbridges curved in plan that are formed by stress ribbon. Recently, several noteworthy curved pedestrian bridges, which decks are suspended on their inner edges on suspension or stay cables, have been constructed. However, curved stress ribbon bridges have not been built so far. The goal of this study was to answer the question whether the use of curved stress ribbon structures is even possible. For this reason, in the first stage feasibility study of these structures has been prepared. Knowledge of both curved pedestrian bridges, which decks are suspended on their inner edge and straight stress ribbon has been used. For the mathematical modeling FEM software ANSYS was used. The obtained findings were further used to design a new type of a modern, aesthetic curved bridge for pedestrians. The structure is formed by slender reinforced deck, which is through the steel brackets on the inner side stiffened by steel section. Torsion of the deck, caused by curved structure and asymmetrical cross-section, is reduced by cable situated in the handrail. Footbridge span is 45 m, arc camber in plan is 10 m, free bridge width is 3 m. Described is a general structure effect, detail static and dynamic analysis was carried out. Designed structure including construction stages were experimentally verified on a fully physical functional 1:6 scale model. The thesis describes the model analogy used for the design of the model, its structural design and its implementation. The model was subjected to a series of load tests including the final ultimate strength test. Performed tests confirmed the good match of calculation with the reality, correctness of the design and high resistance of designed construction. Acquired results and experiences from design and realization of model form the basis for practical realization of studied structures.
Pedestrian Bridge
Hibš, Daniel ; Kocourek,, Petr (referee) ; Stráský, Jiří (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the design of a new bridge construction over a multi-lane communication. The converted road is a pedestrian and biking trail connecting significant agglomerations. Three studies were worked out in this thesis and the C variant was selected for further detailed processing. It is an unsymmetrical suspended bridge with a cast-in-place deck. In the section above the communication, the bridge is made up of prefabricated segments. Suspension of the structure is made of two sloping pylons forming a V-shape. The analysis of the construction was carried out in the MIDAS Civil program, where a complete model of construction was entered, including a subsequent estacade. The model describes the construction process and includes creep and shrinkage of the concrete. The traffic, temperature and wind loads were used. The design was assessed for the ultimate limit states and serviceability limit states. The assessment was carried out in the IDEA StatiCa program, supplemented by manual calculations. The static calculations also include assessment of the harmonic response. Subsequently, overview drawings, detailed drawings and visualizations were developed.
Footbridge across the expressway
Páleník, Petr ; Kocourek, Petr (referee) ; Nečas, Radim (advisor)
The aim of this master thesis is a design of the pedestrian bridge across the highway. The bridge is formed by a slab structure of 6 spans with lenghts from 9 to 51 m. The main spans are suspended on a V shape pylon. The deck of the span across the highway is assambled of precast segments and composite deck slab. The deck is in the lenghtways kept in the parabolic arch. The model of the construction is made in software ANSYS, the solution was done non-linear. The design and assessment are according to the europien standard.
Motorway Viaduct
Čtvrtlík, Libor ; Kocourek,, Petr (referee) ; Stráský, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of diploma thesis was designing motorway viaduct over rowing track. From three possible options was selected one, which represents cable stayed bridge with three spans. Design procedures and assessments were pefrormed to comply with the ultimate an serviceability limit state according to valid European standards. The calculation was performed in software Midas Civil 2020. Structural assessment was done by IDEA Statica 10.1 in combination with hand-done calculation. The part of this thesis is also enclosed drawings and visualizations.
Economic vs. regulatory capital of financial institutions
Matuška, Tomáš ; Teplý, Petr (advisor) ; Kocourek, David (referee)
Economic vs. regulatory capital of financial institutions This thesis is focused on Assets and Liability Management connected with economic and regulatory capital. The main aim is to analyze development of these capitals and their influence on bank's output. In the first, theoretical, part of thesis we follow up the division of risk categories, we define an economic capital and its management and quantification methods. Then we focused on development of international bank regulation and its current and future state. The regulatory capital is defined as well as its management. The last chapter of theoretical part is dedicated to ratings. Then the most important, analytical, part follows. We analyze data of top 50 world banks from year 2007 to 2011. We use especially quantitative methods and OLS regression. We investigate development of economic and regulatory capital during and after the crisis and changes in division of risks they cover. We looking for a relationship between these capitals as well as its impact on bank's rating. At the end of the analysis we focused on relationship between capital adequacy and bank's profitability and we consider reasons of bank's lack of transparency about economic capital. Finally we conclude the results of the analysis. The most important discovery is undermining of...

Hojdarová, Hana ; Jansa, Petr (advisor) ; Kocourek, Jan (referee)
Title: Characteristics of the active lifestyles of school children Objective: To provide information on the active lifestyle of today's youth, to show proper and improper factors to identify and assess the active lifestyle of selected pupils. Methods: Anonymous questionnaire was chosen as a most suitable method. Questionnaries were distributed into two primary schools located in South Bohemia region and were filled in by second-degree pupils. Town of Tábor and České Budějovice participate in this survey. Results and interpretations are presented in tables and plotted. Results: Surveyed second degree pupils proved themself largely positive attitude to physical education and sport. More than half of respondents are regularly doing sport. Key words: youth, lifestyle, physical activity, nutrition, risk factors
