Gatekeeping in the news ČT1 a TV Nova

Bachelor thesis Gatekeeping in the news ČT1 and TV Nova is focused on gatekeeping process in the most watched commercial television and the most watched public television. Gatekeeping is the process within which gatekeepers decide what information will not be processed as a news and, vice versa, what information will be processed and will become a news to be broadcasted in television. This process is controlled by gatekeepers on whom the decision-making processes depend. One chapter of the thesis deals with the history of researches focused on gatekeeping process and one chapter deals with the most comprehensive gatekeeping research carried out by Pamela Shoemaker. Other chapters address information sources in the Czech Republic, news values and researches focused on determination who are persons speaking in news. The practical part of the bachelor thesis is based on detailed interviews with individual gatekeepers in the ČT1 and TV Nova newsrooms. It is the aim of the bachelor thesis to map functioning of decision-making processes (who determines themes of news, who decides on replacement of a news by another one) in ČT1 and TV Nova newscast. Bee Farm with Elements of Innovation

The aim of the thesis is to create a business plan Bee farm U Králů in the region Šumava. The main activity of bee farm is the production of bee products. Thesis also deals with the problem of loss of beekeepers and the lack of awareness of this discipline in the Czech Republic through the beekeeping club, apitourism and bee educational trail. Bee farm is also pathfinder on the Czech market in the sphere apitherapy. The contribution of the thesis is in the support of beekeeping and in the production of quality products.

Analysis of Household Income in the Czech Republic - Trends and Risks

The target of this work is to analyzes the financial situation of households in the Czech Republic with the focus on risks of households such poverty or debt trap. In the work I want prove that the poverty is connected with materiál deprivation, low work intensity and social exclusion. The main analysis are constructed on characteristics such as the economic activity of the person standing at the head of the household, age, sex, type of household or form of using flat. The work offers the possibility solving of the unfavourable situation of households.
