Bakalářská práce Gatekeeping ve zpravodajství ČT1 a TV Nova je zaměřena na proces gatekeepingu v nejsledovanější komerční televizi a ve veřejnoprávní televizi. Gatekeeping je proces, ve kterém se rozhoduje, která informace nebude zpracována jako zpráva, a která naopak zpracována bude a stane se zprávou, která bude odvysílána v televizní zpravodajské relaci. Tento proces řídí gatekeepeři (vrátní), na kterých rozhodovací procesy závisí. V práci je věnována kapitola dosavadním výzkumům procesu gatekeepingu a jedna kapitola nejkomplexnějšímu výzkumu gatekeepingu od Pamely Shoemakerové. Další kapitoly se věnují zdrojům informací v ČR, zpravodajským hodnotám a výzkumům zaměřeným na zjištění, kdo se objevuje jako promlouvající osoba ve zprávách. Praktická část bakalářské práce je založena na hloubkových rozhovorech s jednotlivými gatekeepery ve zpravodajské redakci ČT1 a TV Nova. Cílem bakalářská práce je zmapovat, jak fungují rozhodovací procesy (kdo určuje téma zprávy, kdo nechává zprávu nahradit jinou) ve zpravodajství ČT1 a TV Nova. Z každé redakce byli dotázáni 4 gatekeepeři, kterým byly položeny otázky ohledně procesu rozhodování o tématech, byli dotázáni, které zpravodajské hodnoty jsou podle nich pro zprávu nejdůležitější, podle čeho vybírají osoby, které budou promlouvat ve zprávách, zda mají... Bachelor thesis Gatekeeping in the news ČT1 and TV Nova is focused on gatekeeping process in the most watched commercial television and the most watched public television. Gatekeeping is the process within which gatekeepers decide what information will not be processed as a news and, vice versa, what information will be processed and will become a news to be broadcasted in television. This process is controlled by gatekeepers on whom the decision-making processes depend. One chapter of the thesis deals with the history of researches focused on gatekeeping process and one chapter deals with the most comprehensive gatekeeping research carried out by Pamela Shoemaker. Other chapters address information sources in the Czech Republic, news values and researches focused on determination who are persons speaking in news. The practical part of the bachelor thesis is based on detailed interviews with individual gatekeepers in the ČT1 and TV Nova newsrooms. It is the aim of the bachelor thesis to map functioning of decision-making processes (who determines themes of news, who decides on replacement of a news by another one) in ČT1 and TV Nova newscast.
