Determination of glucosinolates in plant materials
Holá, Veronika ; Křížek, Tomáš (advisor) ; Kozlík, Petr (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with the determination of glucosinolates in plant material by capillary electrophoresis and high performance liquid chromatography. The chemical structure, biosynthesis, degradation, and also biological effects of glucosinolates are described. One part of this work also deals with the methods, which glucosinolates in plant materials were determined by. The experimental part describes the separation of intact glucosinolates by capillary electrophoresis and high performance liquid chromatography. Two plant materials were available for the determination of glucosinolates, namely lyophilized rapeseed leaves and broccoli juice. Micellar electrokinetic chromatography using a cationic surfactant was used to determine intact glucosinolates by capillary electrophoresis. After finding the optimal conditions for the separation of intact glucosinolates, it was found that it is impossible to determine these substances in plant samples. The reason was interference from the matrix, which interfered with this determination. While using high performance liquid chromatography under optimal conditions, some of the intact glucosinolates were identified in a rapeseed plant sample. Furthermore, the calibration dependencies of individual glucosinolates were obtained and the recovery and...
Methodic of selected judo techniques for younger school age children
Holá, Veronika ; Pavelka, Radim (advisor) ; Vít, Michal (referee)
Title: Methodic of selected judo techniques for younger school age children. Objectives: The aim of the thesis is to build visual material, which has the form of mental maps, selected technic in judo for beginner's athletes during the younger school age. Mental maps will be formed in conjunction with each other in a successful design, failed design, or in individual combinations. Techniques will be selected on the basis of the Testing Regulations of the Czech Judo Association. Methods: The collection of knowledge was carried out by a literature search, which deals with the topic of Juda and the chosen age category. Another reason for choosing the suitability of these techniques is the direct link to the judo test rule, which is given by Czech judo association. Keywords: judo, a younger school age, methods technique, mental maps, combination

Charakteristika hospodaření ekologické farmy - přínosy a rizika konkrétního podnikatelského záměru
Holá, Veronika
The topic of my work is Characteristics of organic farming-benefits and risks of the specific business plan. In the introduction, I speak about characteristics of organic agriculture and organic food. In the other part, I describe the marketing strategies, plans for organic farming and then also about the organic farms in the Vysocina region. Another section focus on the family farm called Ekofarma Deblín. This farm has the production of organic vegetables and fruits. Based on the evaluation of the production I made SWOT analysis. The final section is comparing the specific supply of the organic food in the retail chain and the common available items. In addition, I evaluated the quiz about the knowledge of consumers regarding the organic food.
Who saves or does not saves the Energy - uncovering the Reasons for Practising Energy - saving Activities in Households
Holá, Veronika ; Ščasný, Milan (advisor) ; Jeřábek, Hynek (referee)
The thesis "Who saves or does not save the energy: Uncovering the reasons for practicing energy-saving activities in households" identifies the segments which tend to (not) perform selected household energy saving activities and discover the reasons behind the (non) practicing these activities. The author uses both quantitative and qualitative approach. By quantitative approach, the author analyzes data from pilot project PURGE in order to identify segments which are more likely to do selected activities. Emphasis is placed on class position. The author's own qualitative survey by semi-structured interviews identifies the reasons behind this activities. Generally, the author discovered that the upper classes practice energy- saving activities more often than the lower classes which is consistent with findings that lower classes tend to perform habitual behavior and rely on technology and upper classes tend to calculate and study the effect of these activities. Among lowest educational category are (compared with other educational groups) more people who leave always or often turned on the television or radio, even when no one is watching. Women state more likely than men that they never turn down heating when leaving home for more than four hours, what corresponds to findings that arise from...
Sociology of sport focused on cycling: cycling as an extended movement activity in free time
Holá, Veronika ; Buriánek, Jiří (advisor) ; Podaná, Zuzana (referee)
From the perspective of basic social and value characteristics professional sport is pulled from common social context while free-time sport is anchored deeply in. The rate of preference of sport activities significantly affects intensity of spending free time and form of life style. A lot of researches are dedicated to free-time sporting specifically cycling many of projects. Second part of my work is created from interpretation of results of my own research of different aspects of cycling. It has been showed respondents riding a bike carry on cycling most often due to rest and relaxation. Very frequent reason for cycling is making trips and many of cyclists go to multiday vacation with bikes. Further the work devotes to analysis what cycling means for respondents, if they heard in their neighborhood cues about another people outfits, whether they spend vacation on bikes et cetera.
Deposit Insurance in the European Union
Holá, Veronika ; Jakubík, Petr (advisor) ; Teplý, Petr (referee)
This thesis examines the question whether uncoordinated steps of some EU states changing their deposit insurance schemes in the middle of 2008 could have led to shifts of deposits among EU countries. The paper deals mainly with changes of the rules which were introduced at the end of year 2008, and concerns with the amended Directive on Deposit Guarantee Schemes. Empirical analysis concentrates on the impact of state guarantees on the deposit grow rate in individual states. In the final part, we discuss the consequences of recent development and possible future progress.
Deposit insurance in the European Union
Holá, Veronika ; Hájek, Filip (referee) ; Jakubík, Petr (advisor)
This thesis examines deposit guarantee schemes in the member states of the European Union. Our aim is to describe the present situation and analyze deposit insurance schemes in the context of financial safety nets. We focus mainly on cross-boarder issues and differences in deposit insurance coverage (scope, coverage limits).
