Battery charger for NiCd and NiMH batteries
Drda, Václav ; Šandera, Josef (referee) ; Háze, Jiří (advisor)
The work deals with design of self-contained NiCd and NiMH battery charger using switch-mode operation. The procedure of solution was proposed and based on defined characteristics of charger. The basic aim of the proposal is to obtain maximum utilization of parameters and life of the batteries. The other requirement is ability to diagnose defective of the batteries (short-circuited, disconnected and different capacity than other batteries). The simulation and partial tests served to fabricate the charger. Function was tested in laboratory.
Resonant switched-mode power supply with PFC
Punar, Jan ; Drda, Václav (referee) ; Záplata, Filip (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on the LLC resonant power supply with power factor correction. The first part of the thesis is focused on a selection of a suitable controller for the control of this source. Here the emphasis is mainly on efficiency and EMC. The thesis also deals with the design of the scheme and the selection of suitable components. The thesis contains the design of the LLC power supply itself and also the power factor correction circuit - PFC.
Multiphase Series Parallel LLC resonant converter
Drda, Václav ; Boušek, Jaroslav (referee) ; Semiconductor, Roman Štuler, ON (advisor)
The project deals with the design of a switch-mode power supply (SMPS) with a medium and high power output. The power supply uses multiphase control switching. Electric energy is converted through a series parallel LLC resonant circuit to reach the maximum efficiency with a small size and cost efficiency of the designed power supply. The semiconductor switches use ZVS (Zero Voltage Switching) on the primary side and ZCS (Zero Current Switching) on the secondary side of the converter. The design of the converter is based on the knowledge of the high power output converters (types of switching, art topologies) and resonant topologies (series resonant circuit – SRC, parallel resonant circuit – PRC and series parallel circuit –SPRC). The design of the converter was done theoreticaly and tested by using simulation program. The simulation and partial tests served to build prototype the Interleaves Converter (ILLC). The function of the converter was tested in laboratory. The laboratory results have been compared with the theoretical and the simulation results.
Czech Social Democratic Party renewal and its activities in Kutna Hora district from 1989 till 1998
Drda, Václav ; Vaňous, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Houda, Přemysl (referee)
Thesis is about The Czech Social Democratic Party and its activities between 1989 and 1998 focusing on those happening in Kutna Hora district. The aim is to introduce not so well known topic in a comprehensive way - motions of Kutna Hora executive district committee together with descriptions of peoples' personal lives acting in the field of Czech Social Democratic Party. National development of the Czech Social Democratic Party and its influence on Kutna Hora executive district committee has been described. The methods used in processing of this thesis were: exploration of the archival documents, literature research focused on the topic and oral history. Summary of Kutna Hora executive district committee activities as well as reminder of people who were important for the history of Kutna Hora' s Czech Social Democratic Party is, in my opinion, the merit of the thesis.

The Failure of Democratic Socialism - The Inner Development of National Socialists and Social Democracy in the First Year after the Second World War (Spring 1945 - Summer 1946)
Drda, Václav ; Kocian, Jiří (advisor) ; Šmidrkal, Václav (referee)
The Bachelor thesis is focused on inner development of two democratic socialist parties in the afterwar Czechoslovakia. The first one is Československá strana národně socialistická (The Czechoslovak National socialist Party). The second party is Československá sociální demokracie (The Czechoslovak Social Democratic Party). Both parties were included in total amount of six parties allowed by National Front. The goal of the thesis is to present the development of both parties (since May 1945 to summer 1946) with focus on clarifying the reason of failure in parlamentiary election. In the first and second chapter the choice of the theme has been explained and the evaluation of used literature is presented. The third chapter shows the political development among the National Front parties in spring 1945 (before Czechoslovakia liberation). The next chapter is focused on the period between the end of the II. World War and autumn 1945, when both parties were reestablished. The focus of my study lies on the inner organisational structure of both parties - from the top positions to the lowest ones. The chapter contains research about the different ideological groups insied the parties. The fifth chapter describes the reestablishment of the The Czechoslovak National socialist Party and The Czechoslovak Social...
The War in North Africa - historiographical presentation
Drda, Václav ; Nigrin, Tomáš (advisor) ; Čížek, Martin (referee)
Topic of the thesis is war in North Africa. The goal is to show a quality of Czech literature (books, magazines) focused on the situation in North Africa during the Second World War. Firstly, I present the methods of my research and show a content of the thesis. Secondly, there is a historical introduction about wars in North Africa, to give some general information to the reader. The main part, as already mentioned, is about comparing the Czech writings. General possibilities of sorting the war history according to its focus have been presented. The first part, orientated to the magazines, is divided in relation with the traditional system of military history - articles are compared in its folder. The second part - comparison of publications is organized due to a time line because all the books are examples of modern military history. The beginning of the time line is the spring Rommel's offensive in 1942. The end is demonstrated by the battle at El Alamein and a withdrawal of the Africa Corps. The conclusion contains all the knowledge about the comparisons which has been achieved during this research.
