Bachelor thesis "Professiogram as the basis for the creation of methodologies for social workers in health care when working with chronically ill children" deals with the capture file professional activities, requirements and conditions of health and social worker, from which can be deduced further demands on the professionalism of personality worker and the eventual design methodologies. The theoretical part deals with the issue of chronic disease in children, including its impact on the daily life of the child, and social work in health care and the efficiency of the health status of the client that influence disease got into a difficult situation. The practical part of using qualitative research methods, interview, time frame and adding the methods of critical events created profesiogram social worker in health care. Process and rate of disability among seniors

The most characteristic feature of the demographic development in the Czech Republic and other developed countries is population ageing. The aim of the thesis "The process and rate of disability among seniors" was to determine the extent to which disability interferes with the lives of the seniors and to map the development, progress and conditions of the pension system. After an introductory overview of basic concepts, a part of the thesis deals with a theoretical analysis of the European framework of social security of seniors and another part is concerned with the reform of disability pensions in the Czech Republic. The focus is also on the forms of care for disabled pensioners. The empirical part analyzes the areas related to the development of population structure, administrative agenda, overview of pensions according to the WHO diagnosis groups, total overview of disability pensions, the development of the structure of pensions, financing of pension administration, and the average age of retired people. The economic side is also included, where pensions are compared with average salary and also the economic activity of seniors. Dealing with homelessness in the capital city of Prague - is current social service system enough to satisfy homeless people?

The bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of people without a regular dwelling in terms of social service administration in Prague. The theoretical part of the thesis consists of a general description of homelessness and explanation of the current model of provided services. It also mentions non-governmental organizations providing social care for the homeless in Prague and describes the help from the state administration. The next part explores 2 conceptions focused on tackling homelessness and discusses how they are currently met. It was also necessary to mention foreign experience of solving this problem. Interdisciplinary cooperation is an important chapter because homeless care is not only based on the provision of outpatient services, such as food, hygiene, clothing, or on the provision of residential services. Cooperation with other actors such as physicians (psychiatrists, dentists, gynecologists) is also necessary for the services to be provided comprehensively and to be able to respond to all the needs of the homeless. The life of seniors in different types of settlements in Vysočina Region

(in English) The aim of this bachelor thesis is to compare selected aspects of life of seniors living in different types of settlements in the Vysočina Region. The compared settlements are the county town of Jihlava, the former district town Pelhřimov, and Kamenice nad Lipou which is a municipality with an authorized municipal office. The work consists of a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part deals with terms related to senior age, the elderly, meaningfulness of life, active ageing, and demographics of the Czech Republic. The main sources used were reference books, Fram planning documents and other documents from the areas of the research. The practical part contains the actual research, which consists of a semi-structured questionnaire and a personal observation of specific age groups of seniors in the monitored areas. The outcomes of the research describe availability of social and health services in the settlements, aspects of life which are important to seniors and ways the requirements for the quality of life of seniors in those locations are fulfilled. GROFOVÁ, Renata. Conditional Sentences to Imprisonment with Supervision - Its Application and Practice of Performance in Terms of the Probation and Mediation Service. The aim of the Master's thesis is to ascertain how the supervision of conditionally convicted persons is applied and fulfilled. The theoretical part of the thesis analyses the system of the various forms of punishment. The key part of the thesis focuses on Suspended Sentences with surveillance and the application in practice of this form of punishment. The thesis also includes a chapter about the Probation and Mediation Service. The practical part describes the process of examination and the evaluations of the results. The last part of the thesis contains an evaluation of the gained findings and a proposal how to streamline the above mentioned form of sentence in order to make it more effective. The research methods chosen are a research questionnaire survey and the analysis of records. A stand of the students of the Third Age University at Charles University on their oldness

The thesis is focused on the attitudes of students of the University of the Third Age to their own old age. The definition of the theoretical context in the first part focuses on the issues of aging and old age in connection with identifying the quality of life of seniors. This section is also focused on the topic Universities of the Third Age, their historical context in the current form. In the research part the results of the survey have been presented. To achieve the research objective, a quantitative research strategy, a method of questioning, was used. Specifically, a standardized questionnaire of attitudes to age and aging (AAQ) was used, which was developed by the World Health Organization. The main aim of this thesis was to determine the attitudes of students of the University of the Third Age at the Charles University to their own old age and then to compare these attitudes with a group of inactive seniors. Another subject of the research was also the influence of the social-demographic indicators on the attitudes of seniors to age and motivation of the undergraduates to study at the University of the Third Age. The meaningfulness of life in the elderly

The submitted thesis deals with the issue of the meaning in life in the elderly. The meaningfulness of life, which was as a deep human need listed among the evaluated items in the WHOQOL assessments, is considered to be an important salutogenic factor. The thesis briefly introduces logotherapy, a method focused on the revelation and renewal of the meaning in life and the orientation towards values. It also mentions the possibilities of logotherapeutic approach in the communication with seniors being in a difficult life situation. The theoretical part specifies the fundamental terms regarding the ageing, the elderly, the demographic evolution of the contemporary society, health and psychosocial aspects of ageing and the seniors' needs. Further, this part summarizes the theoretical knowledge about the issue of quality of life and its meaning, the methods of their examination and the results of research. A personal assistance for people with mental disorder in chosen areas

The diploma thesis attends to personal assistance for people with mental disorder. The thesis is divided on theoretic and experimental part. The theoretic section describes people with mental disorder and summarises problems of personal assistance comprehensively. This part also gives an overview of contemporary services and trends in care for people with mental infliction in the Czech Republic. The experimental section consists of two parts. The first part focuses on mapping and basic characteristics of organization offering personal assistance to people with mental disorderb in Královéhradecký region and Prague. The data found out in both regions are comapared to each other. The aim of the second part of the research is to learn information and attitude of users' parents to service provided in chosen regions. Values in the Work of Assistants of People with Learning Disabilities in L'Arche Liverpool Community

This bachelor thesis focuses on the worldwide movement of L'Arche. It examines the values of L'Arche assistants who live together with people with learning disabilities in the communities of L'Arche movement. Theoretical part describes values that assistants in L'Arche perceive as important for their life in the community with people with learning disabilities. It deals with the motivation of assistants for their work in L'Arche, the role of social workers in organizations in general and the role of assistants in the communities of L'Arche in particular, the relationships of social workers with service users and the relationships of assistants and people with learning disabilities in L'Arche. It also discusses the view of assistants on the gains and losses connected with their life in L'Arche. The empirical part of this thesis explores the value system of L'Arche Liverpool assistants through the means of semi-structured interviews.
Role of social worker in hospitals. Support and help provided to families with disabled child of pre-school age

The thesis deals with social work at hospital, exactly with job descripton of social worker at hospital, with support which he receives during performance of work and conditions under which he performs the work. In the theoretical part there are defined terms social work and social worker, his competence and approach to clients, hospital, patient and client. It also deals with ethical codex. Then it deals with disability and its types. It deals with family and educational styles, situation of families with child with disability, different social benefit from social welfare scheme which they can be entitled to and social services which they can use. It discusses also attitude of parents to children with disability and process of coping with this reality. Next part deals with social work at hospital, defining social work at the hospital, his education and job description requirements. There is also mentioned the term quality of life, which should social worker bear in mind during work with clients.
