Human Protection in Emergencies as a Theme for Vocational School Students
Metelková, Iva ; Marádová, Eva (advisor) ; Beneš, Pavel (referee)
TITLE: Human Protection in Emergencies as a part of Health Education AUTHOR: Iva Metelková DEPARTMENT: Department of Education SUPERVISOR: PaedDr. Eva Marádová, CSc. ABSTRACT Human Protection in Emergency (HPE) is the subject of this theoretical research thesis. The theoretical part focuses on a set of human protection in emergency and military training in the broader historical context but also legislative context. Space is devoted to the unambiguous definition of related terms. Furthermore the course curriculum reform with emphasis on the level of secondary vocational education. The practical part is focused on the evaluation of the research that was conducted among the students of first and second years of nonscience oriented secondary vocational schools. Data for the research was obtained by questionnaire survey and analyzed the statistical method. The work also includes a draft concept for the implementation of the teaching of human protection in emergencies. The objective of this proposal is to ensure access to information concerning the HPE for students but also for teachers and that contribute to the formation of desirable patterns of behavior for participation in the incident. KEY WORDS: emergency event, protection of man, military training, vocational education, comparison, chemical experiment
The real experiment in the preparation of chemistry teachers
Šedivec, Vratislav ; Richtr, Václav (advisor) ; Beneš, Pavel (referee) ; Kolář, Karel (referee)
The thesis deals with the use of a real experiment in the preparation of teachers of chemistry. Maps to the historical development of teaching chemistry in the Czech Republic. In relation to the structure of the experiment, mentions the importance of experimentation of the pupils in the educational process. Further focuses the findings of experimental level students coming from different types of secondary schools questionnaire method between the listeners of the study programme Science Studies at KCH FPE. In the work are handled by some model experiments aimed at monitoring the nitration of organic compounds, used for the preparation of teachers. The processing of the model experiment on the topic of ozonation of unsaturated compounds shows that didactics and technically correct experiment makes it easier to understand and more complex issues.
Molecular models in teaching organic chemistry at the grammar school
Marek, Milan ; Beneš, Pavel (referee) ; Hlavatý, Josef (referee)
TITLE: Molecular models in teaching organic chemistry at the Grammar School AUTHOR: Milan Marek DEPARTMENT: Department of Chemistry and Chemical Education ABSTRACT: The thesis is focused on the use of molecular models in teaching organic chemistry at the Grammar School. Models are used for a presentation of the structure of organic compounds and especially their chemical characteristics. The research includes the construction of models (based on quantum-chemical methods), selected organic compounds from the category hydrocarbons, halogenated hydrocarbon and oxytgented derivates of hydrocarbons and other types of compounds. Along with the relevant models, the tasks focusing on the structure and reactivity of compounds are processed. The research examined the influence of the use of models for a success solving task of students from 3rd year of Grammar School. Tasks are related to the distribution of electron density in the molecule, delocalization of electrons substitution effect of typology reaction etc. 223 students participated in this research. The research results have shown the increase of the success of solving the tasks of those students who could use molecular models, in some cases the increase of 26% has been shown. The positive effect of the models for solving of problems is individual and it...

Utilization of Cannabis Sativa in Teaching Chemistry
Stránská, Adéla ; Holada, Karel (advisor) ; Beneš, Pavel (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with Cannabis sativa. The aim is to focus on possible utilization of Cannabis sativa in teaching chemistry. The theoretical part describes the botany of cannabis, overviews phytocannabinoids, substances contained in cannabis, and it also includes wide use of cannabis in agriculture and industry. The practical part deals with the selection and arrangement of a possible curriculum about chromatography as the most affordable technique for analysis of cannabis at school, including the formulation of school experiment methodology using the thin-layer chromatography of Cannabis sativa extract to demonstrate the presence of phytocannabinoids. The practical part also includes the scheme of an educational project on cannabis and describes the latest techniques, as well as the methodology of work with them, which are suitable for analysis of phytocannabinoids.
Educational game activities with chemical theme
Černá, Martina ; Beneš, Pavel (referee)
The rigorous thesis deals with study of one of the method, which go to development of creative genius and activity of students, namely with game. The main goal of the thesis is to explore problems of the game activities, inclusive of conditions, possibilities and advantages of their introduce to teaching chemistry at the second grade of basic school and to present suggestions for their realization. The thesis contains also fifteen concrete game activities with their rules and methodical hints. By means of the guest-size pedagogical research, practised on the choiced sample of the pupils from six basic schools, the prediction, that the result of teaching with games are better than results of teaching, where game activities weren't used, was ratified. A Multimedia Presentation of The Basics of Chemistry 1
