Legal Aspects of Protection of Animals against Cruelty Abstract The diploma thesis provides a comprehensive overview of the current legislation on the protection of animals against cruelty at the international, European and national level. The treatise is divided into an introduction, four chapters and a conclusion summarizing the findings. The first introductory chapter is divided into three sub-chapters and is devoted to the concept of animal rights itself, including the definition of the elementary terms "animal protection against cruelty" and "animal welfare", then ethical, especially religious and philosophical starting points for legislative protection of animals against cruelty, and finally briefly summarizes the historical relationship between humans and animals. The second chapter discusses the transnational regulation of the legal protection of animals against cruelty. Its first sub-chapter is devoted to international agreements, and primarily to European agreements adopted under the authority of the Council of Europe. The second sub-chapter summarizes the legislation of the European Union adopted in the field of animal protection, including historical excursus and current regulation. Labour Productivity of a Company and its Rating

This bachelor thesis examines and analyzes the progression of labour productivity in a selected company. Labour productivity is important for business to monitor for efficiency. It measures the spent inputs and obtained outputs. Growth in labour productivity is important for a business, because if productivity increases, it means that the company uses its inputs efficiently. The aim of this thesis is to analyze and evaluate the possibilities of measuring labor productivity and factors influencing its size and development. The first part of the thesis deals with the characteristics of labor productivity, new approaches to labor productivity management and also deals with the description of profitability indicators. The next part describes important methods of calculations used in the practical part of the thesis. The practical part as first characterizes the selected company and then graphically shows and compares different growth rates. It also examines productivity based on production or value added and also it examines the development of individual profitability ratios.
Possibilities of special-educational intervention for university students with visual impairment

Tato diplomová práce sc zabývá možnostmi podpory vysokoškolských studentů se zrakovým postižením. Mohlo by se na první pohled zdát, že tato podpora již nemá ve vysokoškolském studiu místo. Nejsou žádné instituce podobné speciálně pedagogickým centrům, či pedagogicko-psychologickým poradnám, přesto však je potřeba při studiu jedince s handicapem na speciální podporu myslet a poskytovat ji. V případě studentů vysokých škol již nepůjde o individuálně vzdělávací plány pro učitele, ani není zapotřebí dohlížet, aby jedinec včas navštěvoval svého specialistu z oboru medicíny, ale je potřeba zajistit vhodné kompenzační pomůcky, upravovat studijní prostředí, přizpůsobovat průběh a formu zkoušek. Diplomová práce má pět částí, každá je rozdělena na jednotlivé kapitoly. V první části se práce zabývá vývojem jedince v období adolescence a mladé dospělosti (věk 15 až 26 let). Bachelor thesis " creative accounting " focuses on explaining the basic concepts associated with this issue , as well as defining the most frequently used methods of creative accounting , a description of the offender , motivation, demotivation and at the end of the first chapter ways of combating creative accounting . In subsequent chapters focus on fraud in accounting, their categorization and occurrence in practice. To conclude my work I mention briefly about economic crime in the Czech Republic and the most famous in the world of accounting scandals.
The Role of Symbols and Myths in (Rcent) Comic Books

The diploma thesis The Role of Symbols and Myths in (contemporary) Comics focuses on different functions of symbols and myths in fictional comics worlds, especially their different roles in comics from Japanese or Anglo-American area. The connection of comics and mythology brings up the analysis of the concept of heroic archetype which often appears in stories. I will chart the evolution of hero from the mythological one over superheroes to the contemporary modern hero and I will evidence his influence on the contemporary comics. Later, I will analyze how these fictional worlds are built on the logic of the actual world.
"Who watches watchmen?" The role of (super) heroes in comic books of Alan Moore

The bachelor thesis "Who watches the watchmen?" The role of (super) heroes in the comic books of Alan Moore is engaged in analysis of books of Alan Moore, a prominent comic-book writer, his specific production and its impact on the evolution of comic genre. The thesis is divided into three chapters. In the first chapter I have tried to approach the basic terms and outline the function of the comics narration. The second and third chapters contain detailed analysis of particular Alan Moore´s comic books. In the second chapter is the chronological survey of Moore?s production that is also divided into parts according to changes in author?s style. There are also descriptions and defined classic comic-book superheros in this chapter and put in antithesis to Moore?s first two books: Killing Joke and Superman: What Happened to the Man of Tomorrow?. The particular motifs connecting his works are mentioned in the third chapter. The outcome of the thesis contains a summary of my opinions, the motifs common for the books of Alan Moore and emphasis of his importance in the comic genre evolution.
