Recognition of isolated words
Ondruška, Jiří ; Švrček, Martin (referee) ; Kolářová, Jana (advisor)
Human speech recognition in biometric systems is an actual problem, which science intensively deals with. One of most used methods is the method of hidden Markovov’s models. Attention in isolated words recognition is focused on characteristic speech signal parameters obtaining, enabling most clear identification due to hiddem Markov model application. This work concentrates on biometric systems, its methods, and then is focused on isolated words recognition problems. The hidden Markov model recognition system with usage of some Matlab functions is designed. Concept focuses on characteristic speech signal parameters obtaining, code book making through vector quantization, words model training and finally probability of concrete model and obtained word similarity evaluation. Ratio for one speaker's spoken words recognition reaches 40%.
The use of genetic algorithm for edge detection in medical images
Slobodník, Michal ; Švrček, Martin (referee) ; Hrubeš, Jan (advisor)
This work deals with the possibilities of employing a genetic algorithm to edge detection. There is introduced a project which uses enhanced image divided into sub-regions, on which detection by genetic algorithm is applied. To achieving our goals are used individuals in two-dimensional bit arrays, for which are specially adjusted mutation and crossover operators. Cost minimization approach is used as fitness function. The project was created and tested in Matlab environment.
Automatic detection of eye movement
Kaňa, Michal ; Švrček, Martin (referee) ; Kolářová, Jana (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with possibilities of using computer system Biopac for detection of eye movements. Reader is introduced to problematics of eye movement, method of measuring with the help of electrooculography and computer system Biopac. The goal of this bachelor thesis is to design a procedure of measuring and method of processing of evaluated data. This elaborated method of procedure allows measuring eye movement detection based on the method of Electrooculography and present results of measuring data. Functionality of the method was demonstrated on the results which are also part of the thesis.
Dynamic time warping in biological signal processing
Brus, Lukáš ; Švrček, Martin (referee) ; Kolářová, Jana (advisor)
The Method of dynamic time warping is one of the modern scientific methods. It can be used for optimalization of analysis and classification of diagrams with biological signals. One part of the bachelor's thesis is to witness the generation of a biological process while studying the electrocardiogram and ECG classifications. The final part of the thesis is the discussion of the dynamic time warping and using these methods on a real data base of ECG signals from an experiment on an animal heart. This thesis mentions the function of DTW and also discusses a self-designed program for ECG diagnosing. This program, entitled ECG diagnose, is used for characterizing changes of the ECG signals during experiments performed on animal hearts.
Measurement of movement on the heart
Soukup, Tomáš ; Dlouhý, Jiří (referee) ; Švrček, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis is described measurement of movement on the heart. System is composed by microcontroller Freescale MC68HC908GP32 and accelerometer Freescale MMA2260D. The microcontroller is direct element of application. The accelerometer is scanner of movement, whitch increases movement to direct microcontroller. The microcontroller depicts of measurement of moment in the display. Repeated measuremented movement is return depicts in the display, over direct microcontroller.
Image recording by video camera (PAL)
Tomaštík, Roman ; Dlouhý, Jiří (referee) ; Švrček, Martin (advisor)
The main topic of this work is focused on a connection of a camera with PC and processing of the gained pictures. There are described basic concepts of image processing and coding standards of the color signal. Attention is devoted mainly to PAL system, which is used by our camera. Furthermore, there are summarized and described the basic methods for image processing (thresholding, averaging, convolution, etc.). These methods are also used for the detection of the fundamental position of the eyes. This detection is designed to be the most universal and applicable on the various images obtained.
The heartbeat counter
Malínský, Zdeněk ; Dlouhý, Jiří (referee) ; Švrček, Martin (advisor)
Heart rate variability belongs to basic and most frequently interpretation of physiologic statement in medicine. The pulse rate serves as an indicator of the heart activity. The subject of this diploma thesis is projection of the heartbeat counter. The work describes electrocardiograph and separated waves, ways of calculation heart rate, characteristics mechanism for measuring and other necessary information about heart rate measuring. This master thesis fixates on heart rate-calculation from including R-R intervals. Here is described whole project of heartbeat counter, properties of separated blocks and calculation of useful parameters. Further there is noted software resolution for the microcontroller and program for the calculation of heart rate frequency including unwinding signal preprocessing and detection of separated QRS complexes. The products of this diploma thesis are the circuit including the board circuit and codes of separated programs.
Dynamic time warping for biological signal processing
Nejedlý, Tomáš ; Švrček, Martin (referee) ; Kolářová, Jana (advisor)
This project deals with recognition of biosignals. The proposed recognition system REC-DTW processes electrocardiografic signals (ECG) by algorithm based on Dynamic time warping (DTW). DTW allows to evaluate difference between testing signal and control signal, which do not have be of the same lengths. The sensitivity of recognition is 82,5%.
Patient data trasfer over GSM
Pavliš, Jaroslav ; Dlouhý, Jiří (referee) ; Švrček, Martin (advisor)
This diploma thesis is concerned with possibilities of patient data transfer from a pacemaker or implantable cardioverter-defibrillator to physician over GSM. Theoretical part describes options of data transfer in GSM networks, data appropriate for sending and a structure of message is proposed. A device, that is able to send medical data in a form of SMS messages is designed and constructed. The device uses a Freescale MC68HC908GP32 microcontroller, character display with a Hitachi HD44780 controller and a cell phone Sony CMD-J70. The program for microcontroller is written in assembler for HC08. For tabular view of received messages, an application software for PC was created.
New Approaches in Cardiac Optical Mapping
Švrček, Martin ; Kizek, René (referee) ; Sovka, Pavel (referee) ; Provazník, Ivo (advisor)
This dissertation deals with new approaches in cardiac optical mapping. The principle of cardiac optical mapping as well as the current research in this field was described. The new measurement system was developed and its characteristics presented. The system design allows epicardial and endocardial mapping, employing new ratiometric techniques in 2D acquisition and simultaneous electrical and optical mapping. The measured characteristics of fluorescent dye di-4-ANEPPSS were presented. The relation between movement and consequent motion artifacts is well described. Several new approaches in signal processing were proposed, including new ratiometry technique and using image registration to suppress motion artifacts. The algorithm for elastic image registration of optical signals and innovative method for verification of registration process were presented. Application of all proposed approaches and its results are included and discussed.
