Prestressed box girder bridge
Štíchová, Kateřina ; Štefan, Petr (referee) ; Koláček, Jan (advisor)
The subject of this diploma thesis is the design of a load–bearing structure, whitch is situated in the extravillain between the town of Chomutov and the village Křimov. Main purpose of this structure is to pass a roadway I/7 across the valley. There are three options of design and one of them – the prestressed box girder bridge with slanted walls is chosen for more detailed elaboration. The major load–bearing structure is five–span with lenghts 46.50 + 58.00 + 58.00 + 58.00 + 46.50 m, made of post–tensioned nad cast–in–place concrete. The total lenght of load–bearing structure is 269.00 m and the width of load–bearing structure is 13.50 m, the bridge is straight in plan. The structure is analyzed by several computational models, which are designed in Scia Engineer 20.0 software. The structure is analysed in longitudinal and cross directions. The assessments of load state limit and usability limit state are made according to valid standards. This thesis also included time dependent analysis (TDA), that takes construction stage analysis into account.
Slab bridge across the local creek
Štíchová, Kateřina ; Panáček, Josef (referee) ; Nečas, Radim (advisor)
The subject of this bachelor thesis is the design of a load–bearing structure in the village Velké Karlovice, which passes a roadway II/481 across the watercourse. There are three options of design and one of them – the variant of prestressed slab structure is chosen for more detailed elaboration. The span between bridge supports is 19.50 m and total width of the slab structure is 12.00 m. The slab structure is solved in two ways– – by the manual calculation (for check) and also by creation of the calculation slab model in the program. The manual calculation is based on element of 1.00 m widht and 19.5 m length, which is taken out of the slab. The statical model of this element is a sample beam. The internal forces are obtained from the manual calculation and they are compared with the forces of the slab model. The assessments are solved on the slab model according to valid standards.
Problems of diabetic diet in spa
ŠTÍCHOVÁ, Kateřina
This bachelor thesis deals with the problems of diabetic diet in spa, specifically in the Peat Spa Třeboň, sanatorium Aurora. In the theoretical part I focused on the diabetes mellitus disease in general. In the first part we can find there the description of the carbohydrate metabolism, the brief anatomy of main organs that are related to the disease, epidemiology, classification, therapy and diabetes' affiliated complications. The next part of the theory defines specialistic recommendations for the diabetic diet itself. The third part describes the history and present of Czech Spas and possibilities of the food consummation in spa including diets. There were three goals determinated for this thesis. First of them was to map the possibilities of the diabetic diet in the spa, the second one was to analyse spa menu and to realize if it was suitable for the diabetics and the last goals was to compare patient's menu with the spa-one and to find their differences. In the practical part I evaluated the suitability of the spa menu for the type 2 diabetics by using the qualitative research's methods. Afterward I compared this menu with patients' menus. There were 8 patients of the Aurora sanatorium with type 2 diabetes in my research. The menus were evaluated in Nutriservis Proffesional nutrition software. I mainly noticed the total daily energy intake, carbohydrates, fats, proteins and mono- and disaccharides in the research. The results of the research show that spa menu is despite of some slight imperfections suitable for the type 2 diabetics and it corresponds with the recommendations for the diabetic diet. In the comparison of home menus and the spa-ones, the most of the patients boards better and more regular in the spa. But, as we can see by the results, there is an essential need of patients' education in the nutrition area and also a necessary cooperation with the specialists (diabetologists, nutritional therapists) in their treatment.

Anylysis of cryptographic functions in the PDF format
Štíchová, Kateřina ; Růžička, Pavel (advisor) ; Joščák, Daniel (referee)
The present work is focused to cryptographic functions in PDF format. The aim is to examine problems with long-term archiving of documents in PDF format. It cryptographic functions used in the documents are for long-term archi- ving problem. There is a lot of ways how to provide security in PDF documents. I conclude it should be provided a simple risks analysis before providing long-term archiving of PDF document. An organization also should take this analysis when creating its retention plan.
The Development of Czech Tobacco Advertising
Štichová, Kateřina ; Šebesta, Karel (advisor) ; Chromý, Jan (referee)
The thesis studies the consumption of tobacco as a specific cultural phenomenon owing to the fact that since a tobacco plant has been brought to Europe; its use has spread over other continents and has rooted in many developed civilizations. From the theoretical standpoint, the thesis argues that as cultures are not constant entities, the same applies for public opinions regarding tobacco, from the firm belief that tobacco has positive effects on our health to the stigmatization of tobacco. The paper has four parts. First three parts discuss smoking in marketing communication and further identifies key topics; the final part presents the semiotic analysis of tobacco advertising from the selected periodicals printed (from newspapers and magazines) in the former Czechoslovakia from twenties to fifties of the twentieth century. The main objective is to specify both verbal and visual motives that ad makers used to use in order to create ideological implications of their ads (decoding symbols and interpretation of their meanings). Further, the thesis describes the former advertising style for tobacco products ( brands, targeting, products). The methodology of the work is partly based on the work of Jan Stern (2005, Latent meaning of advertisement text), further some of his terms are being applied in...

Štichová, Kateřina ; Pechová, Drahoslava (referee) ; Stejskalová, Anna (advisor)
This bachelor thesis dealt with the life of King Jan Lucemburský, who was examined in different visions of two authors Oldřich Daněk and Jan Šmíd. The aim of this work was to improve the orientation in the analyzed historical novels by introduction of Jan Lucemburský, to find out, who the king, for these authors was, whether a king the stranger, king the diplomat or the last knight, the chivalry-crown. In the first part was analyzed a historical novel, and were set out the terms establishing historical prose. Another chapter has been divided in three sections devoted to a life of Jan Lucemburský and other related incidents of his life, called the historical context of the period. The third chapter, entitled Evaluation and values, characterized the assessment generally, familiarized with specific models of assessment and evaluation of literature, then describe the current rating of Jan Lucemburský. In this work were included two chapters dealing with the life and work of the authors of analyzed novels. The main chapters may be two - named after analysed pieces - King flees from battle, and In the sign of Lion, which were focused on the poetics of novels. The entire work headed toward a final comparison, where the emphasis is on the personality of the main character so that it could be the answer to the...
Possibilities and importance of physiotherapy in diabetic polyneuropathy
ŠTÍCHOVÁ, Kateřina
This bachelor thesis focuses on issues in diabetic polyneuropathy. Diabetic polyneuropathy is one of the most frequent chronical complications in internal disease diabetes mellitus. The point is that the functions of peripheral nerves are being destroyed sensitive, motoric, even the autonomous ones. The destruction of these nerves is based on longstanding hyperglycaemia. Due to the variability of levels and localizations of afflictions, polyneuropathy is characterized by a huge amount of clinical symptoms pain, paraesthesia, amyosthenia, paresis etc. This disease is always very uncomfortable for a patient and it can be the cause of invalidity in the future. The main objective of the thesis is to bring fundamental theoretic information about diabetes mellitus and diabetic polyneuropathy and notify about possibilities of physiotherapy in therapy and prevention. To reach the research objective, I get some of physiotherapeutic methods to practice and then I evaluate the effectivity of therapy. First two chapters of the theoretical part describe diabetes mellitus and diabetic polyneuropathy in general. They contain a brief anatomy and basic information of these diseases. Chapter three comprises investigations that were used in diagnostics of the diabetic polyneuropathy. Fourth part informs about overall therapy and at the end the fifth is about possibilities of physiotherapy within a frame of polyneuropathy. In the experimental section of thesis, a qualitative form of research was chosen. It was performed by six patients, came from the Internal Practice of MUDr. Jitka Brádlerová, Aurora Spa, Třeboň. By the five of them, the diabetic polyneuropathy was actually diagnosed and by the last one it is in a phase of suspicion. Each of the patients' case report brings detailed anamnesis, kinesiology analyse, basic neurological examinations and two versions of the rehabilitation plan short and long-term one. There is subjective and objective evaluation of therapy's effectivity in the chapter seven, that is also annotated in discussion and conclusion of thesis. All the patients acknowledged an improvement in their status and that proclaims the therapy was selected properly. Bachelor theses can be useful as a comprehensive summary of information about diabetes mellitus and diabetic polyneuropathy, physiotherapeutic methods and their importance in the therapy of these diseases for physiotherapy students, physiotherapists, other medical staff even the laic public.
