Efficiency of voluntary children stays

Ústavní péče představuje sekundární úroveň prevence, a tudíž se zpravidla jedná o opožděný zásah do výchovy problémově se vyvíjejících dětí. Děti umisťované na DDP přicházejí častěji se závažnějšími projevy poruch chování, než těmi, které bychom mohli nazvat drobnými přestupky. Výzkum přesto ukazuje, že úspěšnost těchto pobytů přesahuje hranici 55%. Osobně tedy nemám nějak zvláště velké pochybnosti o jeho smyslu. Navíc děti, přicházející v důsledku protektivní, merkantilní či příliš liberální výchovy, vykazují téměř stoprocentní úspěšnost pobytů, jelikož atributy ústavní péče (značný osobní diskomfort, pevný režim a řád) jsou dostatečným důvodem k ukončení neakceptovatelných experimentů. I přes výčet mnoha neduhů má tedy prozatím intervence na úrovni státních institucí své opodstatnění.
Abuse of addictive substance in context of stay at diagnostic institution for youth

Graduation theses processes the theme of drugs from a view of diagnostic instution for youthfull clients. The objective of these was charting an attitude of the Czech Republic towards of young people's problems from the point of view of placement to diagnostic institution. It is aimed at works with group of this age, reports real view of clients and their problems. Inquiry at diagnostic institutions was done by questionnaires. Clients expressed their experience with drugs, attitudes to drugs and to stay at diagnostic institution.
Analysis of the concept of education Prison Service employees in the the Czech Republic

The presented dissertation focuses on the educational system o f the Czech Republic Prison service staff and on the proposal o f the new educational module called Penitentiary Pedagogy for special educationalists and trainers of the Prison Service o f the Czech Republic. This dissertation describes education, from compulsory entry education within the new staff Basic Preparation Entry program up to specialized courses in the Program o f Lifelong Education. These are established for all Prison service staff according to their official position. Currently the humanization trends are markedly preferred in the detention conception (including remand detention) within the Czech prison system. The inmate is treated not only according to the European Prison Rules principals, but also according to the professional ethic rules, human fairness and in particular access and use o f special pedagogy knowledge, special pedagogy diagnostics, forensic psychology and other related branches o f science. The staff must be excellently prepared to carry out their duties in such specific conditions in the prisons while complying with the above-mentioned new approach. Risk Prevention Centres for Children and Youth

The thesis introduces low-threshold facilities for children and teenagers in the context of development of society and family attitude towards children and teenagers and in the context of leisure time-phenomenon. It introduces adolescents from several chosen scientific disciplines' point of view. Low threshold style social services are focused and intimately described. The work describes a potential client of a low-threshold facility from developmental and social psychologies point of view, including a brief description of possible risks in given areas and the role of the low-threshold facility (or its social workers). A survey of present day condition of several lowthreshold facilities in Prague is included. The final part of the work provides abstracts of chosen official documents related to the topic and introduces the Czech Association of Streetwork (uniting low-threshold social services providers) and organization Proxima Sociale. A Czech - English dictionary of selected used terms and a list of keywords are also included in the work.
An Educational Programme for Incarcerated Youth

The aim of my diploma páper is to uncover and at least partially analyse present statě of execution of prison sentence (execution of criminal precaution) of juvenile delinquents inprisonment, and to analyse possibilities of treatment of offenders from their point of view. The diploma páper is focused on personality of juvenile convicted offender who uses all prison services. I would like to reach this aim through partial standardized interviews which I present in a practical part of this páper. I complete the practical part with a few client characteristics. Respodents from the practical part are from prison Všehrdy. These questiones are solved in czech and foreign literatuře in context of comparing with alternative punishments. As I have established, this point of view on juvenile convicted offenders is untouched. That is the area where I see the benefít of my work, especially in relations to present trends and modern conception of penology. The theoretical information I drew from czech and also foreign background, from various researches and books.
Sentenced to community service - an alternative to imprisonment

The thesis deals with the topic of penalties alternative to the imprisonment. Given the fact the theme of alternative punishments is very large, the dissertation specialises mostly in a penalty of community services. In the thesis the alternative punishment is presented from the point of view of the occupation whose main task is to contribute to the penal justice and to solving penal conflicts. The domain that the Probation and mediation service of the Czech Republic has represented since 2001 stands on the frontier of the social work and the law and brings out the need to define the context of its own use, role, theoretical grounds and last but not least operational procedures, mechanisms and principles of a professional work. The penalty of community services started to be used in our penal justice in 1996 and it has gone through great changes ever since. The thesis describes in details the historical evolution of this punishement. First forms of an alternative treatment of offenders, especially the probation was developing late 19th century and in the beginning of the 20th century chiefly in countries of Western and Northen Europe. Issue of Pregnant Women and Mothers using Habit-Forming Substances and Instructional and Medical Help for this Group

This work deals with the subject of drug addicted pregnant women and mothers. It analyses in detail the influence of drug abuse during the pregnancy on the mother and featus and on parenting and the development differences of children born to drug addicted parents. Another area of interest is the differentiation of treatment of pregnant or parent women and other clients. The description of individual programs offered in Prague and neighbourghood by non-profit organizations DROP IN o.p.s. and Sananim o.s for mothers with children follows. The empirical part of this work is devoted to identification of the social and family background of addicted mothers. Die Hauptmethoden sind Besichtigungen, Besprechungen und praktische Tátigkeit als Lehrerassistentin in einigen pádagogischen Einrichtungen in dieser Stadt Die Ausgabe von dieser Diplomarbeit soli eine Beschreibung von der guten Praxis in einem Land werden, das schon lángere Erfahrungen mit dem Leben in der multikulturellen Gesellschaft und mir der Schulintegration der Kinder mit anderen Muttersprache als die Sprache von Majoritat hat Diese vorlegende Beschreibung konnte eine Inspiration der Tschechischen Republik werden, dem Land, an das diese anspruchsvolle Aufgabe erst wartet.
Multi-Cultural Education at Primary Schools

Das erste Kapitel widmet sich der Charakteristik des Namens der multikulturellen Erziehung, den Faktoren, die zu dieser Problematik sich beziehen, und des Verhältnisses der multikulturellen Erziehung zu den anderen Wissenschaften.
